Love the food. Always came with friends. This time for our anniversary. It was too noisy, could hardly hear each other. Although I stated it was our anniversary, no "special gestures" were made, such as complimentary glass of bubbly. Will be back for the food but not on a special occasion!

It’s a decent bistro, French in concept and execution. Steak tartare good, frites superior. Leeks in a vinaigrette a classic. Snails in a tomato-ish sauce less so. Atmosphere very agreeable- makes for a good neighborhood place

We wanted a festive place to eat outside on a cold and rainy day. Could not have been better. We called ahead and were told the rain walls were down and the heaters were on. An extra bonus —little blankets on the back of each seat. Meanwhile servers were solicitous and food was great! Thanks so much!

I love this place. It’s a legit French Bistro on a residential side street. The bread is hot and fresh, and my veal was ridiculously good. Can’t wait to go back. Terrific service too!

I wish I still lived in Tenleytown, so a visit to LaPiquette could be in my weekly rotation. The ambiance is perfect - a french bistro without the noise of a brasserie, a menu with so many choices (who wants to pick just one, I ask!), and a lovely wine list. My dinner companion enjoyed the goat cheese and beet salad and the cod and gave rave reviews. I started with the artichoke hearts "Barigoule," which were topped with a spectacular sherry vinaigrette, followed by the "American" chicken - Moist and served with crunchy (albeit maybe 10% too crunchy) frites. We passed on dessert but next time I will save more room. Did I mention the bread - which comes with olive oil for dipping - was top-notch? It is! I will be back.

Closest in Washington to good, solid, Paris regular French food. for example, excellent roast chicken with outstanding frites. A true to life salade frisee with bacon. Orange tart is great. La Piquette was excellent in every way i.e food, service and ambience We are among the fortunate who travel regularly to Paris and frequently eat at excellent Bistros there By any measure, La Piquette is every bit as a good and in many cases better than the Bistros we ve enjoyed there If you would like to have an affordable, authentic French meal in a romantic setting that resembles a movie setting in 1930s Paris, this is the place for you!

La Piquette is always a reliable great place to eat. Despite the long-standing success of the place, the staff are extremely friendly, including whoever answers the phone. Despite me having to make several last minute changes to my booking, the reservation person was remarkably flexible and friendly; something I won't forget. The only drawback to the place is the noise level, which is magnified by only hard surfaces all around. Installing some well-placed baffling could diminish the noise and, in turn, the effort it takes to talk with your dining party. Until then, La Piquette is a place where I would bring some friends & family, but not others. Nonetheless, please keep up the great work with your food and your service!
