   Excellent food and service. Also very accommodating. One guest required a little more sauce on the pasta, which was promptly provided and made the meal exquisite.

   The food was absolutely amazing (and we ordered a lot). Nothing disappointed. The only thing better than the food was the incredible service of Mariah! She was amazing and made the experience even that much better!

   The food at La Roma is excellent as is the service. The servers are always so pleasant and friendly, quick to offer great food and wine recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next dining experience.

   The reservation was for 7 pm, but we didn't get any food, including our appetizer, until an hour later Food was delicious and the ambience was nice, although a little too loud for my liking.

   Well greeted upon arrival. Hostess was charming. Comfortable table for two. The A/C works ! It was freezing in there, so we asked if it could be turned down a few degrees. Cocktails took a bit long to be served. I ordered a vodka martini with lemon twist. It came with lemon, but a HUGE wedge. It also came with 3 olives….so I sent it back and another was served. After we ordered dinner, the waitress surprisingly, took away our wine glasses ?? So I guess we weren’t supposed to drink wine with dinner….?? The appetizers were tasty, although the scallops were cold…. We had to ask for bread…. The main course was good. Chicken, gnocchi. Dessert was brought, but no offer of coffee or tea…..again, we had to ask for the obvious. No offer of a refill either, again we had to ask…. It’s a small restaurant, with many seats, so the noise level gets very loud rapidly as it fills up. The restaurant has potential, but the staff needs to gain experience on service.

    Food was good but not a wow. Salad entrée was delicious, chicken parm was average but the accompanying pasta was very good and the brownie cheesecake dessert was good

    We chose La Roma because we wanted to be walking distance to the Tulip Festival in Ottawa. We are very glad we did. Though the menu is limited, everything we ordered in our group of four was delicious and well presented. A special mention should be made about our server: she was professional and pleasant.     Everything about La Roma was excellent. I would love to try everything on their menu. What we did eat was excellent, as was the service and the ambiance. It was appropriately priced - very good value.

    La Roma is my go to for a quiet meal in a classy but understated restaurant. Food is consestantly good, service is attentive but not intrusive. Its a real gem.

    Terrible terrible service. I am truly beside myself with how we were treated by our server. The owner/manager was nice but did not really de-escalate/calm the server, who had an attitude of a 14 year old angsty teen. He simple said “sorry, she is in a bad mood tonight”. Absolutely horrible justification. We came for a birthday dinner and left with a ruined night. Told friends we went for dinner and before we could even explain our experience or even tell them we had a bad experience, they said “oh never go there they have terrible service”. What a reputation to have. You are in a prime location in little Italy and have so much potential.

    Good place for indoor dining, not a great place considering quality of the food for the money paid and the noise level (weekend). Had a much better experience on the patio in the summer. Service was excellent, no issue there. I will go back but will also search for better value.

    Great homemade pasta. We had the beef cheeks fettucine and the mushroom gnocchi and both were fantastic. The aranccini and spicy olives were great too. Dessert was cannoli and tiramisu. The cannoli were outstanding while I've had better tiramisu, it was still very good. We happened to go on a Tuesday where they offer several wines at half price. The red we picked at $32 a bottle would be hard to beat. Top off the night with a cappuccino, double espresso and great, knowledgeable service and it was a great way to celebrate a birthday. Note: Winter parking is a problem on Preston St. So prepare to hunt for a spot, but it will be worth it.

    My partner and I enjoyed our Valentine’s Day at La Roma this year. The ambience upstairs was amazing. It was not loud and I personally loved the table decorations with little hearts and candle. It made for an intimate experience. Our waitress was considerate of my partner’s dietary restrictions which definitely boosted my points for La Roma and she served us at perfect timing. We had time to digest every course before they brought out a new plate. The food was okay. I highly recommend their shrimp in cream sauce. It was savoury and delicious. Wish I had more than 3 shrimps. It was both of our favorite for the evening. Omg and that strawberry cheesecake was just…*chef’s kiss*. We had a lovely time 🥰

    We wanted a romantic dinner and although it is good for the server to ask about drinks, appetizers and main, we felt rushed. We had literally just sat down and asked if we had decided on a drink and appetizer. Also I don’t eat meat and asked to replace the sausage and it was going to cost $3 per shrimp. I have never been to a restaurant where a price has been put on per item of food.

    The main course was quite ordinary tasting - something I'd expect from The Olive Garden or East Side Mario's, but not La Roma. I was flabbergasted by the prices. Not good value for money.
