It was a Birthday celebration and we were treated royaly
Very good food and extremely friendly helpful staff. Will definitely go back
I had the most amazing experience at this restaurant! I booked my 35th Birthday on Saturday, September 8th with 20 people. The staff was extremely accommodating with helping with the centre pieces, guests, set menu, champagne and wine. Every guest left extremely happy of the service but most importantly the food. The cooks were very accommodating for Vegetarians and everyone was in love with the Gnocchi. The dessert was mouth watering! As we understand that 20 people can be a little loud at any restaurant, we were a vibrant, classy group and no one was a "loud boisterous patron". La Terrazza is not just a restaurant but a family. I look forward to many more events and dining experiences at this restaurant! Thank you everyone at LT for creating such a special day for me, my family and friends!
I had requested a quiet table on the Open Table reservation request. I doubt if the maître d read the request because we were placed right beside a large table of about a dozen very loud and boisterous patrons. We along with another table requested to be moved. The other table, made up of four elderly patrons, had made the request prior to my own and I saw that the maître d had shown them a separate room in the restaurant and had ultimately moved them there. When it came time to discuss the move for my table, the maître d did not initially offer the separate room and when I raised it, he said "but you will be all alone there", which I knew that was an untruthful statement and readily agreed to be moved to the separate room - where of course the table of four elderly patrons had just been moved. It we hadn't been moved, we would have left.
Throughout, our waiter Daniel was fantastic. He was pleasant, accommodating and genuinely interested in making sure we had a good experience.
The appetizer, calamari e gamberi, was excellent. The pasta, tagliatelle with truffle, was a big disappointment. We ate it but I have to say, the pasta was not fresh. We first experienced fresh tagliatelle in Sicily a few years ago which prompted us to buy a pasta maker, make our own and we also often order tagliatelle at other restaurants. La Terrazza's tagliatelle was the worst I have every had. It must have been under the heat lamp or in an oven for a long time before coming out. The veal, the most expensive secondi, was good. The dessert, torta di pera, was also fine but needed more flavour.
We had never been to La Terrazza before, but we are certainly glad we have now! It was a romantic birthday night out and they did not fail to deliver. Everything about the meal was made to perfection and our waiter was just the right level of service, with a good sense of humor. It was fairly early in the evening for a real Italian dinner so there were very few customers, but he didn't smother us with attention and let us enjoy our evening. The portions were quite large, there was no way we could have possibly finished, but we definitely tried!
Absolutely would not hesitate to return.
Beautiful ambience, great patio dining, friendly and knowledgeable service, broad and good wine selections, excellent cuisine
Outstanding dinner in all respects. Service was excellent from start to finish and the dishes served to all 7 of my party were all delicious and very well received. Would recommend to anyone.
Delicious food and great ambiance. Unexpectedly good!
Très mauvais rapport qualité prix.
Pasta trop épicées pour les 4 convives.
Pasta trop sèches pour un convive
best italian restaurant in town
We had the chef's menu and wine paring. Great dishes, not huge portions, but perfect for a four course meal. Our server set a perfectly paced timing, much appreciated to not be rushed out the door. Will definitely return!
To be honest I have to say I was disappointed.
The pasta was just not cooked. It was simply too hard. It gave the impression that our service had been rushed.
The rissoto was OK but nothing special.
The service was OK but I did not appreciate the attempt to make me feel guilty about tipping.
If wage rates are so bad join a union and fight for better rates.
After I left what I thought was a reasonable tip the waiter was very brusque.
Did not leave feeling good about the experience.
Excellent, authentic, Italian restaurant. Good mixture of local and imported food. Beautifully decorated dining area making the most of the space and providing an excellent location for special occasion gatherings and meals
Great service. Generous portion of pasta. Nice ambience on the patio. Steak was only so so but very expensive. Overall very picey meal but delicious. Good for those with deep pockets.
Took 20 minutes to get water after flagging a waiter (they were not busy)
Another 20 to get wine
We did not get the promised out side table
We’re told if we wanted we could be moved out side
They then accidentally gave our table away
Food came out before bread
Truffle pasta was dry
Had to refill our own wine
I don’t like to write bad reviews but this place needs new management
It’s a beautiful space
the food tastes so delicious and fresh.people are nice too.
The food is exquisite and the service is always top notch!
One of my favorites!!! Always one of my first picks. Thank you La Terrazza!!!
Wonderful table outside in a beautiful neighborhood
The food was salty and not as good as it used to be.
Bit too salty, but overalll pretty nice.
Food was amazing and service was on par 👌
The meal was outstanding ! What made the survival evening enjoyable was the waiter //service . He added a very personable touch from the greetings to the ordering suggestions etc...
My family and I went for a nice dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant itself has a nice ambience and certainly had a romantic appeal. The very strange thing, however, was that there were so few people at this rather large restaurant. We were told that the dinner crowd was largely absent because it was early July. However, there are a number of restaurants in the area that had large crowds due to the tourists. I would describe the food as fairly traditional Italian and prepared quite well. My pan-seared halibut was very good, and the pasta dishes were uniformly excellent, especially the linguine Bolognese. our weight person was very patient and thoughtful, but I do have one significant criticism: it would have been very nice of her to let us know that the pasta dishes were served in very very large portions! we ended up over ordering because we did not anticipate the portions to be so large. I would recommend that two or three people could split one pasta order.
Went with our 3 kids ages 9,11, and 13 and they did a great job accommodating them. The food and service was great.
Excellent service & food. Thank you!
The food was AMAZING!! I’m from out of town and this was exactly what I was looking for. There’s a lot of 4.5 star restaurants on this app that don’t deserve it but this was a true 5 star!
What you expect from a restaurant that imports several of its menu items directly from Italy? Simply an AMAZING Italian restaurant in the heart of Vancouver! Place this restaurant at the top of your list. Enjoy!!!!
The bartender is a professional. Our waiter was interested in us and entertaining. The food was delicious. The patio is well laid out. Our evening was perfect.
We LOVE La Terrazza! Exceptional Service, Food, Atmosphere, and Wine List
Overall amazing experience. Must recommend to everyone.
Probably one of the best restaurant in Vancouver. Highly recommended. Everything was perfect. Thank you
Food was incredible - and matched service by our server, Sam. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends - and suggest them and others order the lamb
Great food. Great wine selection. Great service.
Very good, will definitely dine there again.
Portions are outstanding, and price is very reasonable.
Great location near the marina.
Wonderful service - out on patio for Mother’s Day!
Price is on par of 5 star restaurant but service is not
We went to the restaurant for a mother's day dinner. Two couples. Service was good but we felt rushed, indeed we decided to slow things down by just ordering our salads before our mains. Salads were good. Mains were generally third rate. My vongole fettucini was dry and without much flavor. Clams were over cooked. Risotto looked good but my friend has a good appetite and didn't finish it. My wife's boullilbase was so so and our friend's pasta dish likewise. Neither one finished. Desert was very good and the Cotes du Rhone the waiter suggested was very good.
Enjoyable dinner in a convenient location, easy walk to concert at Rogers Arena.
We had an amazing dining experience at La Terrazza. We sat out on the patio and although it was street side, the greenery decor and ambience made a beautiful dining setting. Our server was fantastic. I had chosen a wine that was not available and she was very knowledgeable and recommended a fantastic wine. The food was exceptional and we will recommend La Terrazza without hesitation.
