Sat on the heated patio for my birthday. Lovely service and ambiance. They brought out a beautiful tiramisu with a candle. The wine selection is incredible and the caesar salad was the best salad I've ever had. So grateful for the experience.

Nice quaint place to meet with friends or family and sit down for a meal while exploring the city.. The food was pretty good but missed something that took it over the edge of blowing taste-buds away. The wait staff was not to sociable so it didn't provide a pleasant experience of interactions. Might look at giving it another try.

After 20+ years since I was last there, I had a pretty good time!! I can definitely see myself repeating in the next 20 months!! Won't wait that long next time. Simply, right-sized portion and my food was tasty! I had the Branzino!!! I love Italian cuisine!!!!

I was on a double date for Sunday brunch and our party had a marvelous time. Food offerings included Italian and other dishes, all appealing looking and tasting. We enjoyed not being rushed. Our server Hasan was very pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere is wonderful! I’m glad I live nearby, and I’ll return soon.

Outstanding night with group of friends. Prefect place to be as service is always wonderful. Arancini and salads were our starters with drinks and red wine. Pastas, fish were our main dishes. Great time. Outstanding restaurant for real Italian dishes.

As always, the ambiance, service and food at La Tomate were very, very good. The prices for drinks, however, were really high. I would recommend going to this long-time favorite in downtown DC but be prepared for very pricey alcoholic drinks.

My friend and I had the most delicious lunch today at La Tomate! I had the Caesar salad, ravioli and tiramisu. Absolutely delicious, we both enjoyed our meals very much. The waitstaff was so pleasant and accommodating. I would highly recommend La Tomate.

Booking was a breeze. Speedy friendly seating on arrival. Waiter came soon and offered good food and wine suggestions. Food was excellent and well seasoned without being over salted, as in some restaurants. I enjoyed the food so much, i wish i had had more space for a second main.. Next time!

Disappointed! One of our favorite restaurants especially on a cold winter night but we were disappointed with the lack of attention to detail in some of the dishes. Like the sautéed spinach - where were the golden raisins? Nothing extraordinary with the other dishes. New cook perhaps?

Had an exceptional meal and experience eating at La Tomate. We chose from the menu and special New Year's Eve menu sharing a taste of our choices. I had the lamb and next to 2941's Easter lamb shank it was one the two best lamb dishes I have ever had. Tender, perfectly seasoned, and matched with rich sauces to accent it. Highly recommend it for any reason. I have eaten here several times since moving to the area in the early 90s.

Haven't been here in years but it was as delicious as I remembered! Took a friend visiting from out of town for a nice dinner and it was a lovely evening with great service. It is pricier than I had remembered but for a special evening it was worth it.
