Had dinner with my family at La Vecchia last night. It's my husband's favourite restaurant in our neighbourhood. It was very lively with many groups enjoying dinner. The food, as usual, did not disappoint. We had the specials and they were delicious and so were the desserts. We were able to get seating at the back of the restaurant, which was nice for us as it was a bit quieter. Our server was very professional, friendly and helpful, which made for a lovely evening.

The experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Despite having a 7pm reservation for a group of 5, we were hassled twice by the host about a strict 2-hour limit. Due to some members arriving late, we were made to feel unwelcome, with some of us standing for a table meant for 5 until everyone arrived. The waitress constantly reminded us of the 'proper' headcount, even when one member arrived only 30 minutes late due to weather and parking issues. Moreover, the lack of accommodation for non-wine drinkers and those unfamiliar with Italian was evident. Asking about beer options was met with blatant rudeness from the waitress, who dismissively directed me to the menu without any assistance. Overall, the atmosphere was tense, unwelcoming, and the service lacked basic courtesy and understanding. Would not recommend.

We were with friends from out of town and they absolutely loved it. They are world travellers and they said the calamari and the special (halibut) was the best they have ever had. So thank you, a wonderful experience with a great waiter too!

We were greeted warmly by Rachel the hostess and was served by a lovely and attentive waiter Manny. The food was paced well and the meal was excellent as always . We celebrated my husbands birthday and the staff brought a lovely dessert. I can’t wait to return The attention to detail is outstanding

We always have a great experience at La Vecchia. We were a family of 8 celebrating the recent passing of our Mom. Service was gracious, patient, and hospitable and the food and wine were excellent. Have been here many times over the years and are never disappointed.

La Vecchia is one of the best Italian restos at Yonge and Eg. The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. Crazy cozy and perfect intimacy. The manager, Jerry, makes every visit better than the last. I’ll keep coming here for another 30 years.

there were 6 of us all age groups EVERYONE loved their meal, Manny our waiter was excellent, i have food allergies and he looked after me. This is our third visit and each time its excellent. we all ordered different entrees and salads there is a lot of variety on the menu to choose from. we had tiramasu for dessert, loved it.

Had to wait 15 min for our reserved table. Service was friendly but rushed. Extremely busy. Pizza crust was flat, seems like it was from frozen dough. Pasta dishes ok. My octopus appetizer was dry and bland. Drinks are expensive so the meal is costly. Unfortunately the cozy, lively atmosphere did not offset the rushed, mediocre food and bill total.
