   Lovely environment, love the decor and relaxed but chic vibe...with the exception of noise as music is too loud. So many restaurants get this wrong - thinking music needs to be loud to create an atmosphere of fun. Wrong - music shouldnt overpower, but rather be in the background and add to the experience...patrons shouldn't need to raise voices to be heard over the music and other patrons.

   Amazing food and service, food was impeccable. If you’ve never had Lao cuisine, I highly recommend Lao Lao bar as an introduction. The tapioca dumplings and bbq chicken are a must. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu!

   The service was utterly charming - 3 different people looked after us for various reasons and all three were delightful, friendly and capable. We were going to sit inside and went early for that purpose (5:30pm) but even then it was incredibly noisy, so we chose to sit outdoors on the patio - which was lovely. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The signature cocktails were over-the-top terrific!

   Really amazing food, especially the Jungle Curry which was more of a delicate and spicy broth. Great atmosphere, excellent cocktails, and you can order small size beers which I like.

    Nice ambiance in terms of aesthetics, but so loud I could barely hear the person next to me. I also requested my dish without tofu twice due to a food intolerance but it still came with tofu which I had to pick out. Otherwise service was excellent. Had a great server and hosts were great, too.

    Great fun location with fun interior. Great service. Laotian cuisine isn't nearly as accessible as Thai, Vietnamese cuisine in the city so the contrast between familiar but different flavours is nice. Sophisticated and well-prepared dishes. Would definitely go back to this place.

    Curry was INSANELY good. So was the mango salad. Pad Kee Mao could have been better. Portions are a tad bit small. Would still recommend going! Delicious. Service was great. Ambience was great.

    I enjoyed the food and service. I will comeback! My advice: Eat the tapioca dumplings with the lettuce, mint and coriander leaves and crush the dried fried chilli before garnishing - to your tolerance of spiciness.

    Loved Sabai Sabai so was excited about this. Food was pretty good overall. They had run out of the Bbq chicken and Lao sausage at 8pm on a Saturday night so that was a bit disappointing. Drinks arrived after our third dish was almost done. A fun night but still a few things that need to be worked on (only been open for 3 months).

    Lao Lao Bar’s dishes were all excellent. We started with the tapioca dumplings, which were textually so interesting and the flavours were excellent. It was a fresh start to the meal, followed by crispy, savoury fritters, Massaman curry and morning glory. The morning glory was so flavourful, and felt as thoughtful as the entrees. Fun, easy vibe that felt special without any pretension.

    Noisy, happening place. Drunken noodles and Panang curry were great. Papaya Salad not good. On entry told us we had 2 hours max which didnt set a great tone. Then slow service which set the opposite tone.

    The food was simply fabulous. Great variety and spice level. We tried, the sausage, fried papaya, beef jerky and tapioca salad apps. They were all very flavourful. For mains, I loved the green curry. Massaman was a bit sweet. The fried rice and noodles were very good. Will definitely come back.

    Food was really amazing. Tapioca dumpling were Perf. Massaman curry was soooooo good. The portions of the mains should have been slightly larger. And the table we were sat at had the strangest lighting. There was no light except some awkward sunlight coming from the window above us. I know that sounds strange, but it really made our experience kinda awkward. ALSO, they brought my mother’s main dish wayyyy before everyone else’s!!! So it was just sitting there getting cold…. Absolutely hated that. The event was supposed to be for her.

    Beautiful room. We shared several small plates, Lao sausage, tapioca dumplings, pork skewers, fresh rolls. All very fresh and unique flavours beautifully presented. Fast friendly service. Only disappointment was that for the second time there was no Pandan gelato available. Will have to keep trying! : )

    Reasonable prices and good portions. Unique dishes with distinctive flavours. Nice ambiance. The music was at a level where we could still have a conversation, but couldn’t hear what the tables beside us were saying. Shared 3 small plates and 3 mains. The service was prompt and attentive. Recommendations were good. The tapioca dumplings are delicious and unusual. The only thing we would have liked is for our plates to be bigger. Difficult to fit everything on the small plate that was provided.
