   The food was almost bland. One plate of fries is enough for a table. The beef tartar was the best meal/ or the mushroom alternative, the steak frites was bland, the salmon was okay - you could smell the salmon. You can do better than come here. The service was great though !

   Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They were aware of our celebration which is sometimes a hit or miss when added to the description on the reservation. First time trying beef tartare, was excellent. Escargot was also spectacular. Overall great experience.

   My boyfriend and I live next to this restaurant and go here frequently! The food here is amazing, so is the service. It’s got a great bar and a fun yet relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!

   The waitress was almost fighting us! You should teach your staff that customer is spending money and you are making money so you supposed to take care of customer not vise versa!

   Outdoor sitting is not recommended, close to street, and it is not top floor deck patio. Restaurant is fully booked so they said they can’t switch us to indoors, although we saw it wasn’t sitted fully, maybe late arrivers, who knows. Food is okay, but very very expensive. I like their French wine.

    Terrible service. No attention to detail of food and drinks ordered. Terribly close seating, all servers kept bumping into my chair the whole time. What a waste of a meal and date night. Had to cut it short and go elsewhere to have a better experience and a better Friday night.

    Our server, I think her name was Nicole, was simply amazing. She had the perfect wine pairing for my meal. She was also a great conversationalist and very attentive to us.

    Waiter’s food recommendations were fantastic; escargot and the short rib. Will have to go back on my next visit to Toronto to try out the rest of the menu.

    I’ve been here for diner and it was great. Brunch last weekend was not. We were one of 3 tables. Service was slow and inconsistent… especially for a set menu that costs $45/pp Espressos and cappuccinos and food took so long to arrive they were luke warm at best. Disappointing based on my previous experience at the restaurant.

    Decor and music were great, the restaurant is really cute but we felt really rushed by the server. the food was ok nothing special at all, salad didn’t have enough vinaigrette and the portion of salmon was way too small specially for that price tag.

    Jazz trio and delicious food. What more could you ask for? How about friendly and attentive servers and a lovely wine list? The house smoked ham is not to be missed. Sounds simple but it is exceptional. And, then, of course, the foie gras. A welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Glad they made it through the pandemic and looking forward to enjoying it for years to come.

    Music was way, way, way to loud. We were seated near the musicians, however we did not know there was going to be music and we were never offered to move once the music started. It was unbearably loud, the server couldn’t hear us. Completely ruined the entire date as neither one of us could hear each other. My short rib was dry and so was my Cafe au Tarte dessert. I dined here last summer and really enjoyed it, will never be coming back.

    The execution and quality of dishes is quite high. The menu is not well balanced. It is hard to choose items for a well balanced experience. Also despite the COVID inflation, I still think the place is pricy. $22 for 4 medium sized shrimps is quite a bit, although they were tasty. $28 for a small fois gras with 3 small pieces of 1"x1" toast is pricy too, although it was really nicely executed. I was happy with the short ribs. Some of the staff have attitudes, not a surprise for the service industry.

    The food was delicious, the service was precise and friendly. The menu has moved to mostly tapas-style sharing dishes. The patio is cool and breezy.

    We have been wanting to try Lapinou since before the pandemic, and we're so happy we finally tried it out! What a hidden gem. A true French atmosphere, and although you are in the heart of King West, it is nicely secluded from the crowds. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was incredible. Definitely a place to go for a special occasion. Can't wait to go back!

    Nice room, nice service. Excellent cocktails. The servers and maître d's all seemed experienced and knowledgeable. Food ranged from good (the starters) to less good (a cold steak, overcooked foie gras). Wines are very expensive. Prices jump to $100 a bottle very quickly. But our server let us try a couple before we picked a good Muscadet the cheap end of the list. Overall a very pleasant evening.

    Loved everything about this place. They made our anniversary very special, gave us the best table and complimentary glass of Prosecco. Our server was knowledgeable and made our night. Food was perfect, we loved every single bite. Highly recommend!

    The worst service to where it was almost comical. Waited half hour for drinks and 1 hour for 2 dishes which were cold Fries and the smallest portion of beef tartar. Had to call server over multiple times to remind of the second round of drinks we ordered which we waited over an hour for. Absolute terrible service and zero apologies or any acknowledgement. They didn’t appear to be too busy and just the slowest most inattentive servers. Paid and left - do not recommend especially for the price. Opposite experience to what I’ve had previously there and felt terrible because I brought friends who had never been and told them how good it was. I was super embarrassed and annoyed by the evening there. Will not be back. Will not recommend.

    Booked my reservation in advance specifically for their patio…even took an 8pm seating just to be out there…and 3 hours before we were scheduled to arrive they called and told us they’ve taken another booking and can no longer seat us on the patio. Very disappointing…if you’re looking to book a special night go somewhere else - because Lapinou might change their mind last minute.

    Came here for Mother’s Day and had a really wonderful experience. Service was amazing, and the patio was beautiful and comfortable. It was a little pricey for what we got but still had a really wonderful time.

    Very disappointed by our experience at Lapinou. Preset 3 course Mother's Day menu. Course one was more an amuse than an appetizer. The tempura asparagus was delicious but at 1 stalk a person very small. The mains were served more than an hour after ordering. The confit duck on white beens was extremely salty and my mother in law only had a few bites and then focused on the bread. The whole table was very thirst from the salty food, all our glasses were empty and the waitress did not show up for 20+ minutes. I informed her of the issue with the duck and the only reaction was oh! No apologies, nothing. I doubt she informed the kitchen of the issue. Desert was a Meyer lemon tart. It was very sour and unbalanced and overall unfit for consumption. Only one person ate more than a bite and felt sick after. Overall it was the worst dining experience I have had in years and even more disappointing as it was the first dining outing for my mother in law since the start of the pandemic. We spent $70/person including a drink and it felt like a complete waste.
