   We had to wait several minutes to be seated. Also noticed several tables around us had not been cleared after previous diners left. The restaurant seemed to be short staffed. The food was good, although somewhat expensive. Overall ambience was fine, but noisy diners at the next table sometimes made it difficult to have a quiet conversation.

   Setting was nice but was disappointed in quality of food. Artichoke hearts came out still partially frozen in center. Caesar salad came out with older lettuce with a bunch of red on it. Wouldn’t recommend unless out of convenience (I.e. staying at hotel).

   went for mother’s day brunch and was charged $95 a person for a cold and unappetizing “all you can eat” buffet. and it was $25 extra per person for drinks. so disappointed to have paid $240 for a meal that i could hardly eat because it was cold and such a random assortment of foods that did not pair well together at all.

   Went for mother's day brunch, for the price and location. I was expecting better view and better food quality. Presentation of the berry trifle was horrible. I thought that was a bowl of whipped cream! Prime rib and the raw bar were the only food that met my expectations interms of quality. Disappointed is an understatement!

   It’s sad, for a new place to have such low levels of service. Quite literally every table in the  restaurant was left on service after the patrons left. Everybody who walked out the door with or without reservation had to wait for tables to be taken care of. Long waits for the food, which was OK at best. Restaurant leader ship was randomly present, and totally ineffective to support his staff.  decided to book brunch based on a Eater review.  see if yourself a drive and book somewhere else.

    Service was slow. Food took a long time to get to the table and was cold. When management came to the table they proceeded to educate us on how the kitchen ticket system works and they had a rush. The restaurant wasn’t even full. Disappointed by the poor customer service. I have been here several times and never had a bad experience, not sure what happened today.

    Went for Sunday brunch after seeing a post on IG about it. Food was good, service was average, no complaints. Very quiet and no atmosphere - very sterile; nothing interesting or inviting about the dining room. It was indistinguishable from any generic hotel restaurant. Menu was less interesting than expected from a place touting it 'brunch'. We will not likely return.

    Easter brunch . $95 / person and you had to serve yourself coffee / juice / go the bar for mimosa . At that price point there should have been table service for drinks at a minimum . Quality of food was very good except egg dish . It was cold . Decor was cute but cheap . Not a great value for the money

    This was the first time my husband and I ate at the Laurel. We found their Easter Buffet Brunch information on the internet. My husband was familiar with the area and the Hotel Viata but everything was new to me. When we arrived we were greeted by the valet rep at the beginning of the driveway with information on parking! This was helpful and eased our minds about our car. The valet personnel were friendly and helpful! We entered the Hotel Viata and were greeted immediately with a friendly welcome! Our reservation was confirmed and we were seated inside in the ballroom with its charming well organized buffet! The Easter bunny soon arrived and the youngsters were excited! It was a gorgeous bunny and very fun and friendly and willing to pose for photos! There were many families attending not only with children and parents but grandparents too. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the assortment of food! A wonderful brunch buffet which included a carving station and a lovely dessert table with mouth watering choices. There was a beverage bar and live music! We were impressed with the people who were working and it was great when the restaurant manager came over to our table to welcome us and ask if we needed anything! We had a wonderful Easter brunch and we enjoyed the experience.

    First time at the hotel and I can say considering the room prices and the suppose to be upscale the customer service is not the best honestly and yes being that I’ve been in customer service industry for a very long time I do have expectation. Bar tender was so unfriendly and just cold during happy hour recommendations and lack of customer interaction. The waiter and waitress nothing extra for the prices they wanted. I would really have to reconsider if there will even be a next time. Sorry but ambience was very nice

    Service was great and the waiter who is also one of your bartenders was charming and funny. Food took longer than it should to reach our table and the burgers while requesting med rare were more medium and no pink. When we arrived, many tables were empty with dirty dishes. This was at 12:15pm. Seemed a bit short staffed from what we experienced in waiting to get our food and check. Overall a fine experience.

    The service was great. The food was wonderful and fresh. We enjoyed cocktails on the outside dining area and pasta dishes. The music was a wonderful mix without blasting over our conversation. We could actually hear each other. Pleasant surprise.

    I ate here with my husband as we were staying at the hotel and the menu was defined as Italian. I had the salmon. It came on a layer of tasty spicy corn with some well prepared roasted cauliflower. The fish was cooked perfectly to medium and was very flavorful. My husband had the seafood pasta which included a spicy but goopy thick tomato sauce and an assortment of seafood that was disappointingly tasteless. We would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

    Our waiter, Hari, was excellent, but he was having to do too many jobs that night. Staffing was hurt by weather issues that made many people dining outside come inside, and he did not have enough help. The food was very good as it has been in the past. The noise level was very high unfortunately.

    What a wonderful experience. My wife and I brought our kids to stay at Hotel Viata and decided to enjoy the restaurant while we were there. Everything we ate and drank was top notch. Great experience

    Such a cute spot! We went for Valentine’s Day and they gave each table a long stemmed rose to take home - such a nice touch! The steak was one of the best I’ve ever had - and the ambiance of the restaurant was so cute!

    We met our daughter and her husband here since they were staying at the hotel. I had high hopes but the food was a let-down. My salad had so much dressing I couldn’t finish it. I wish I’d ordered the dressing on the side! My salmon was cooked properly, but the Calabrian chili creamed corn was virtually tasteless. The Fruta Del Mar pasta and sent it back. It was too fishy and lacked seasoning. The tenderloin was cooked properly and seasoned well, however, at $58 it was not worth it. The staff was attentive and the restaurant itself was tastefully decorated. It’s just sad that the food was so disappointing.

    Decided to pop in at Laurel and do lunch with a friend. The dining room was near empty, so noise level was minimal. 4 tables sat inside and 2 outside on the patio. Interior of the restaurant is stylish; we sat under the Laurel tree. Service was extremely attentive. Drinks were great- get the Duchess. Lunch was fabulous. We started off with the Brussels which were perfectly cooked (no raw or hard bits) Then for lunch ordered the onion mushroom flatbread and the lemon pasta. Both were delicious. Finished with the Italian donuts! Will definitely be back again. Might need to book a dinner reservation!

    Love that there were plenty of vegetarian options! Impossible meatballs were amazing in the delicious spaghetti sauce, and the mushroom pizza very tasty. Brussel sprouts were uncooked but the sauce was amazing! Cocktails strong and unique offerings but a bit overpriced ($17+)

    1) tried to sit us (a couple) in the same table/between multiple other parties, where two separate tables met and there was a crevice right where we’d have to put our plates. 2) loud kids running around unsupervised, one came up to my face and burped in it. No joke. Disgusting. 3) food was meh, looked and tasted like it was mass-purchased from Costco. 4) plastic chairs set up in a hotel conference room rather than the restaurant 5) insane rip off for an almost $300 brunch

    It was lovely Christmas Day brunch that we thought was done very well. The room was beautiful and not overwhelming. The food was very good and higher end for the special day. Piano music filtered in from adjacent room playing carols was a nice touch. Plates were cleared promptly. We are not the types looking to eat tons of food but like to try little bites of special foods we may once or twice a year. We were very pleased with our choice for our brunch.

    It was our anniversary. And I must say, the host and our waiter provided us with immaculate service. Food was ok. But just on the service alone we will be back. I’m very big on service. A great experience can override the food, but great food could never compensate for bad experience.

    We made a reservation for 3:00 PM for the Thanksgiving brunch. I also ordered the bottomless Mimosas. We were not told that last call would be at 4:00 or 4:30 for the food and mimosas. If we'd been told that up front, Laurel would not have been our choice.

    I thought $400 for three people for a Thanksgiving buffet would entail fine dining where the room was actually heated, the food was hot, and there would be some music piped in. The atmosphere was that of a food court at a shopping mall. Children screaming, running between tables, so cold I had to wear my outer ware jacket the whole meal. The food really was boring. The noise level of the customers very, very loud. Gave up trying to have a conversation with my family. Ate a plate of cold food and left as soon as we could. NEVER, NEVER again.

    Good option for Thanksgiving. We had not been here before, but this buffet compares to other 5 star hotels. Great service, good setting. Overall, it was a pleasant meal and tasty offerings.
