    Very nice place with old Montreal look and feel. nice bar and you can also eat at the bar. Menu has many options we share a filet oysters and the bear salad which was delicious- place was quite busy and tables are quite close together.

    This is my second time at Le Butterfly and unfortunately service was not at the expected level: too long wait time for drinks to arrive, the waiter forgot to bring water bottle we ordered. Music was way too loud, was impossible to have a conversation. Plus, all our steaks were overdone.

    Drinks and apps were delicious. Unfortunately, the main course came out cold and sides were not cooked well. Steak was delicious even if cold. Service and location was great!

    Food was decent, but nothing was WOW or great. Signature cocktail was great, but expensive ($21 each). Service was not super, staff didn’t take time to explain anything but in a hurry to get to another table. Would have recommended it if it hadn’t cost as much (over 300$ sfter taxes and tips for 2 with 2 cocktails each, and the 3 course MTLaTBL option).

    In fairness to the restaurant, we were there on a slow evening for what appeared to be all the restaurants in the area based on observing their occupancy as we walked by them. The interior of the restaurant was attractive. The food was good. My wife who eats a great deal of salmon said hers was excellent. My meal was also good. I was a bit surprised that we were not offered bread, but having been in another restaurant yesterday evening that stated on the menu that bread was served upon request, I may have missed that instruction on Le Butterfly's menu.

    A much anticipated romantic evening in Old Montréal was made less so with dinner at Le Butterfly. Tables so close together we may as well have been dining family style with the other guests on either side of us, drinks not topped up unless requested and a medium rare steak so raw that the ruby red juices escaped the platter onto the table. We were left asking how did this possibly make out out of the kitchen past the eyes of not only the chef but the pass and then the waitstaff and onto our table without a single set of mindful eyes saying “that’s not right”. The whole experience was made worse simply by nobody ever checking in to see how our evening was going. For $72 for an 8oz filet, you need to do better Le Butterfily. There are far too many great options for outstanding food and service in this part of town.

    We absolutely loved our Anniversary Dinner here! My filet mignon with foie Gras and changed black truffles on top of creamy mashed potatoes was absolutely perfect! My husband ordered the pork chop and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly! We would definitely go back when we return to Montréal

    This restaurant provided us the best French dinner we ever had. Both server Jordan and Gavin are helpful, especially Jordan, help us design a mixed plate with Filet Mignon & Lambs Chops together with veggie & in house fries. If you are tired of couple daily life, bring your spouse to this restaurant. For the oyster, highly highly recommended-Happy wife, happy life, You know what I mean!

    This steakhouse is amazing! Such a great atmosphere. The server (?Jordan) said the food would look and taste great and he was exactly right! We had the rib eye, brussel sprouts, and veggies. It sounds pretty typical, but they had their own twist to it. Get a sauce for the food for dipping, really adds to it! Great size for 2. Wine and Martinis fab! The price is on par for their high quality ingredients. Well done for a new restaurant!

    Overall, a nice experience in a quaint part of Montreal. Decor and ambiance was nice. Wine list was strong. Food overall wasn't very good though, unfortunately. One of the worst steaks I've had in a long time – especially given a really long wait for food. Despite the long wait, our server was awesome – personable and attentive. She was one of the highlights of the experience.

    We are in from Philadelphia which has great steakhouses. We opted for this restaurant and are happy we did. Heavy pours on the drinks, sizable cuts of meat, great service and nice location in Old Montreal. We will be back next time we are in town. The 24oz Strip is not for the faint of heart.

    We waited an hour and 20 mins for our food and when it came the portion was small and the price omg almost 300$ for.one steak and veggies that we shared! Im never ever going back there it ruined our whole anniversary experience so not worth the money at all
