   Fantastic meal! We had such a great time at Le Butterfly. The food was delicious, the restaurant is gorgeous, and the staff were lovely. We had our 7yo daughter with us and the bartender made her a special watermelon drink because he decided she needed "something much more special than a Shirley Temple!" The grilled sourdough bread with butter was a highlight, and the steak and lamb both delicious. Will be back anytime we visit Montreal!

   Experience and service were good. Food was very good too but a bit pricey. Shrimp cocktail is a steal (33$ for 3 shrimps?!). Snails and filet mignon were delicious.

   The service was great until after we received our appetizer. After that, it took over an hour to get our main course. Four other tables that were sat after us, ate dinner, had wine and paid and left all in the time between when our appetizer course arrived and when the main course was served. It appeared that the waiter might have forgotten to enter our meal selection or the kitchen messed up our dinner but regardless, no one communicated anything to us until about 45 mins in. It was disappointing.

   A night to remember at this restaurant. We were able to get a seat outside it seemed like we were sitting in South Beach. Staff, so friendly, so helpful, what a pleasure, they’re there for one reason is for you to have the best night. Food was outstanding, cocktail drinks were amazing, so colourful so different. Lots of vegetables as sides on the menu, we had all of them. It’s a meat restaurant we were so full from what we were eating, we shared a steak recommended by our young waitress, -was melt in your mouth. Special restaurant, will definitely be back.

   One of the most expensive and notably poor experiences I have ever had. I travel the world for work and was expecting much more. Our bill was $450 before tip. Limited alcohol was purchased. 3 people. The restaurant wasn’t more than 3/4 full. So no excuse on service. As for quality of food. The Keg has better meat and plates for half the price. The appetizer were limited in size for their prices and overall experience was less than 1 star. Server gave us attitude from the beginning. We will never go back and I highly recommend exploring other restaurants before going here. Lots of work to do. Clients expect more today.

    Très bruyant, sombre. Cuisine très grasse, très sucrée, sans goût. Prix très élevé pour une qualité très médiocre. Service moyen qui a essayé de m'imposer un pourboire plus élevé que l'usage ne le prévoit. C'est décevant.

    L'ambiance est géniale, la musique n'est pas trop forte, les lumières rend le tout un peu plus intime 🫶🏼 le service est numero 1. Un peu dispendieux versus la qualité de la viande. Malheureusement mon rib avait tellement de nerf que c'était pas mangeable! Le prix des accompagnements et des sauces est quand meme cher. Une sauce devrais automatiquement venir avec un steak.     For the price we paid the food was not great . My tartare was not edible, my boyfriend steak was terrible like as if they got it at Walmart. And the fact we paid 14$ for WATER and then not telling us it was expensive I would’ve drank tap at that point. Very very disappointing. The only good thing about it was the server Tracy she was very sweet.

    We dined here before the AURA Experience. I highly recommend the truffle parmesan fries and steak. We also got the bone marrow with crusty bread. Their watermelon mojito was also delicious. The restaurant is small, so it would be a little tight if dining with more than a party of 6.

    The ambiance at this restaurant is beautiful. It's nice for a date night because the lighting in there is dimmed and very relaxing, and the cocktails are delicious. However, the restaurant is really small inside, and if you have a big bag or winter jacket on, you will bump into other tables or people sitting down. More than one server comes to the tables, which can be confusing when asking for something you need (napkins, water, etc.). - the food is quite basic for the expensive prices they are selling them for. - I got the beef Bourguignon and it was very salty, and the bread on the side was burnt. - I wanted a red wine but couldn't choose between the two; when I asked the waiter what he would suggest, he brought me two of them for tastings and charged me full price for both that was a tester (shot). - There were a lot of 'MP' abbreviations on the menu that I didn't understand. I wanted a red snapper fish but didn't have the price for it on the menu. I was told it was a market price, and he couldn't give me a price until the fish was completed and they sized it. I asked if he could give me an idea of how much, and he said around $70 or more for 1 fish. - the smaller plates are not that filling, so if you're hungry, budget well in advance to buy more, or I would advise having a snack before heading over there.

    Great location and the service was incredible! Our appetizers were the star of the night - the lamb was cooked perfectly and the bluefin tuna melted in your mouth. The parm truffle fries are a must try and the specialty drinks were SO good!! Our server recommended all three and they did not disappoint. One thing that was disappointing was the steak. Considering the restaurant is promoting themselves as a steakhouse with prime cuts of meat, we were quite disappointed with the NY Cut we ordered. It was very chewy and lacked flavour. We were happy to have ordered the béarnaise sauce to go with it, since it added a lot to the steak. Overall a good restaurant, would go back to try the other menu items, except the steak.

    The experience was fantastic. We sat at the bar for dinner and the bartender was very charismatic, very engaging and knowledgeable about the menu. He took care of our every need. The location in Old Town is beautiful. Great ambience and super food. Oysters were fresh and tasty, steak was lovely. All in all very good and we will be back.

    The ambience is amazing. Very romantic place where you can see the beauty of Old Port. De service is great and the waitress have a great sense of humour. The food is spectacular! We had mushrooms, bacon, steak and bœuf bourguignon!! Oh and caramel cheesecake! Fabulous! Outstanding service!

    Went there for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Despite the late hour to have dinner. The food was really good ! I loved the escargots and the oysters. The mussels were nice and curried flavored, very generous size portion. The flank steak was okay. It wasn’t wow. The drinks were strong and good as well.

    J’ai aimé la salade et les crevettes en entrée. La personne qui m’accompagnait a demandé un filet mignon bien cuit. Je comprend que ce n’est pas commun toutefois elle aime la cuisson de cette façon et comme ont dit ,les gout ne se discutent pas. Bien entendu c’est important d’informer le client qu’un filet mignon bien cuit risque d’être caoutchouteux mais pas au point de lui parler comme si elle ne connaissait rien à la viande.     What a hidden gem! I had a perfectly seasoned tuna tartare with a private import white that was recommended. My companion had the steak frites which also was a great choice. But the real standout was our server... He was the ideal blend of knowledgeable, present but discrete. Will definitely be back.

    The waiter (Jordan) was excellent, had great recommendations (which we completely followed), and would 100% come back again! There are many steakhouses in Vieux-Port that we’ve been to but you don’t need to wonder about going to Le Butterfly.

    Tried this new steakhouse in the Old Port for my birthday and was not disappointed! Impeccable service, DELICIOUS cocktails, and possibly the best filet mignon I have ever had. We also had the bone marrow and it was amazing. Definitely try this place for your next birthday or anniversary. 10/10

    Great experience at Le Butterfly! Food was great, cocktails were super tasty! Our table wasn’t ready for our reservation time so the manager offered us a round of drinks on the house, and the bartender offered us a shot! Kal the bartender was great company! Food was also good. Great restaurant for a date night or dinner with friends. Highly recommend !
