Le Doux Ciel patisserie shop was first established on mainland Vancouver in 2008. For ten years we have explored the savoury world of French and Belgian baked cuisine, we travelled around the globe to study and learn everything we could about the art of the patisserie. Today, we are proud to announce the launch of our flagship store — this bakery displays the mastery of our chosen artform and creates experiences that excite the senses of our loyal and dessert-loving customers.     The high tea was DELCIOUS. My only suggestions would to make sure tea is well-stocked as my two first choices were unavailable. Beautiful interior and amazing service. Just wish the tables were a little higher, but that didn't take away from the experience.

    Went with a friend for an afternoon tea. It was cute and the couches were pretty, but as we stayed longer we found the decor kind of cheap looking and the bathroom needed attention. The tea was delicious, desert was too sweet and seemed to all taste similar. The savoury food was kind of bland and disappointing. The scones were good. We left hungry. There are much better options in Vancouver for the money.

    We enjoyed their afternoon tea and though there were limited tea options (seem like many were out of stock?), the savouries were very creative and delicious. Scones were served warm and the desserts were nice and light and not too sweet.

    Afternoon Tea at Le Doux Ciel was the perfect way to end my birthday trip in Vancouver. The tea service was a seasonal offering centered around the cherry blossoms that were in bloom and was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed it and will be back on my next trip to Vancouver.

    We came to have high tea during the day. It was nice but it was not worth the money. Nice place with very friendly staff but somewhat costly for what you get.

    Afternoon tea is one one of my wife’s favourite traditions. Le Doux Ciel was our third choice as it was as the only place that offered the reservation time we were looking for. It has a great location right next to the JW Marriott. Parking was easy and reasonable. When we arrived, we had a nice table reserved by the window however the establishment runs primarily as a coffee shop so it took several minutes to be seated. The service staff was very kind and accommodating. We began with tea and the china was beautiful with a bird and cage theme. It took 30 minutes to receive our courses but I saw the reason why as all items appeared to be made to order and they looked stunning. They also tasted as good as they looked. One issue was the service staff were not knowledgeable of what each of the items were so we all had to guess. Regardless, it was an enjoyable time but do keep in mind, it is a cafe that offers afternoon tea.

    Its a very cozy place. But the food is not worthy and somewhat overpriced. Croissant is 9bucks and its tastes like the same Croissant from other cafes.

    When we arrived the staff didn't seem to have our reservation. We finally determined they were looking at the wrong day. We ordered a Blue tea which they said they didn't have even though it was on the menu. When leaving we saw loose Blue tea in a jar on the counter. The timing of our service was off. They brought our dessert tray and then after we started on our dessert they brought us clean plates. The plates should have come with the dessert tray. The paper napkins were tiny, certainly not sufficient for a meal. The food was good, but at $50 per person you expect exemplary service. I would describe the service as amateurish - they were trying but didn't have the training.

    The food tasted great just very small in portion, so it is a bit overpriced for the size you get, hence only 4 stars was given. The service was great and the atmosphere of the cafe was beautiful and pleasant.

    The hostesses were so welcoming and kind, right from the beginning. They were so incredibly accommodating with our visit especially with our dietary restrictions. The place is also very picture perfect! Thank you so much for having us!

    It was less than okay. Needs extreme improvement overall. Was expecting better quality in terms of food, plates, service and atmosphere. I don't think I will return for afternoon tea to this place. With the price range of afternoon tea, I was expecting much more as experiences of similar priced afternoon tea places were way much higher quality. I don't recommend this place at all for afternoon tea. Not worth it

    Went to Le Doux Ciel for afternoon. The place was very neat, with nice soft colours. Food, sweet treats are nice, but savories have a lot of room for improvement. Although the staff are friendly, but very inexperienced. Didn't bring side plates for us until we requested so. I particularly mentioned that I would like cream for my tea upon ordering, but didn't managed to bring it with the tea. And I have to request again for my cream. Just hope the staff are more attentive. But I would visit again, just for the dessert because they are good.

    First of all there was some confusion about our booking. The waitress thought we had booked three high teas, when I had just made a general table booking on the website. It was not specified when I booked that I was booking three afternoon tea sets, as it said that a deposit had to be made for afternoon tea bookings anyways. If all bookings are afternoon tea set bookings, it should be specified more clearly on the website because lots of other afternoon tea places have general table bookings, especially on a Saturday. They were very kind however, and gave us extra portions when I ordered an afternoon tea set (my friends were too full for a full tea set, and ordered pots of tea and pastries). However, once our orders had arrived, the waitress left and did not once come back to check on our table for the duration of the three hours that we were there for. It was not a busy time, we were one of maybe two or three tables. They did not even come to ask if we'd like our bill. We would've liked to get more tea or even another sweet, but they just never came back to ask. We had to leave our table to find the waitress for our bill. Additionally, the bathroom was rather dirty for an establishment of this calibre, and they were out of toilet paper when I went into the bathroom. I expected better upkeep since I have been to Honey Salt inside Parq before and I found that to be top notch. The afternoon tea set is about the same price point as places such as Laduree and Fairmont, and I expected better service and restaurant standards. Overall, food was delicious, service was terrible, and I expected better service and attention to detail.

    We had a small business meeting here. The place was a tad quiet despite beside a busy road and front door continuously open. No song whatsoever so it's not bothering our conversation. We had high tea here and the food was very good, especially the pastries and the croissants. Not so much for their roast beef sandwich, since it was dry. Their selection of Mariage teas are sublime though. Always delightful. Unfortunately, their service is really poor. Being attached to a prestigious Marriot Parq and prime location, there should be a standard to uphold. Upon entering, though we were greeted kindly, we were not seated as they were behind counter so we had to find the seats, with our business partner. When we asked about "how to order" as they have different looking menu, our server couldn't understand English that well. They also forgot a particular order of water as well. The rim of my plate was sticky somehow (I hope not my business partner's). Interestingly there's sushi selection for high tea, but the rice did not hold well as sushi should be. So, when we took it from the tray, it crumbles and sticks to the tray. The only thing I appreciate from them was their smiles, at least it looked genuine. That said, I hope one day I'll see this place be better as their pastries are delicious.
