The best tuna tartar I ever had!
Beautiful night on the patio. Very friendly staff. Great food!
Excellent meal, service and ambiance. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and made great suggestions.
Excellent and creative seafood. Very helpful but not intrusive staff. We booked early and it was quiet until 7:30 on a Friday night, then quite noisy but not intolerable
Food was amazing and service was fast, however, service was below comparables.
We had such a fabulous dinner in this restaurant. Very nice and caring staff, skilled and friendly service. The food was outstanding. The desserts absolutely to die for and the presentation just perfect!
Creative cuisine without lozing the taste of the ingredients.
Delicious food so fresh and beautifully presented. Awesome and attentive service. Waiter and all staff were outstanding ( not pretentious in the least ). Restaurant feels classy and upscale but still relaxed and not stuffy. Le filet is one of our top restaurant choices. It is quite adult oriented. I wouldn’t bring children here
We will be back!!
Dinning at Le Filet is always an amazing treat. My favourite resto in Montreal.
J’adore ce restaurant et le service est toujours incomparable. Merci encore pour cette belle experience
Superior service, high quality interesting food and an upbeat atmosphere that made this meal a highlight of our trip through Quebec.
Fabulous restaurant. One of my top two in the city.
Phenomenal! Patrick made our meal/experience one to remember. The food was out of the world and the wines/spirits that Patrick recommended made the meal astounding. We celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary in the most perfect location. Thank you Le Filet!
Everything was great. It’s always always a winner here. Never tends to disappoint.
Very good food ... took a little long to be served but the food was good ... ambiance is loud and not from the music but from people talking over each other ...in all a good experience and will definitely return
We were four women celebrating an office birthday
We were treated like royalty .
The one person at the table with allergies had a special meal created for her without even asking .
Every waiter had a beautiful smile and the service was fast .
We plan to go back !
Was a party in my mouth!
Great evening! The squid was amazing as well as the halibut. Everyone was impressed with their meals. Yuzu tart was a great light dessert!
Great service, friendly and entertaining staff. Food was delicious.
Fun with family
Le personnel est plus que sympathique et très professionnel dans sa prestation de service.
Fabulous seafood in a great space. Oyster appetizer was a mix of 4 raw and 2 baked, all of which were very fresh. The baked oysters were very nicely prepared, with a light and flavourful topping. The hamachi tuna appetizer was exceptionally fresh with a tasty marinade, covered with a nest of finely shredded beet, cucumber and wonton skin. The two daily fish selections (sea bass and black cod) were both very fresh and flavourful, with a creative fusion of asian and european flavours. Unlike some of the more extravagant restaurants that spend so much time plating that the food arrives lukewarm, everything arrived on our table moments after it was cooked with the bass skin still hot and crispy. For food of this quality, the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back!
Spectacular experience from start to finish. The host is a true gem and we enjoyed everything fully. Highly recommend.
This was one of the best dining experiences ever. Food, service, you name it. I cannot say enough about the quality and attention to detail for each component. When we come back to Montreal, we will always come back to Le Filet.
I love this restaurant. The food is amazing, the service is super nice...
This restaurant will never fail to please and impress you, in both taste and aesthetics. Chef Yasu Okazaki understands the true meaning of curating an everlasting meal; orchestrating the delivery of 6 courses in perfect fashion and creating a unique, off-menu dessert for my girlfriend who had a gluten allergy. And his balance of flavors will rival the best dishes you’ve ever tasted.
I highly recommend dining at Le Filet, you will not leave disappointed.
I had dinner with friend in this restaurant on Sept 22. Food was good, but the young male waiter was not up to standard on such restaurant. He seems tired after waiting on a couple of table, ( only around 8pm) and we have to wave for his attention ( after waiting over 10 minutes) three times before he responded. He was rude in his manner also.
I think a waiter with his altitude sure with ruin all the good things about this restaurant.
The service was great and the host was able to arrange a seat for us on the patio (it was an unsually hot evening). The food was exquisite - good seafood is hard to find in Montreal and we are so happy to have found a reasonably priced seafood-oriented dining experience. The hamachi is a must-have.
Petty bad service with food to match.
First off, I must admit that this restaurant was not in my original three choices for a long weekend in Montreal. (Our first) wow, am I glad that our plans changed and we were able to enjoy this fabulous spot. Great ambience, fantastic service, and the menu options were so intriguing we had a very tough time deciding what to get. Our choices for appetizers and main courses were all great. Solid wine list as well. When we come back to Montreal, this will be our first choice.
Excellent service et menu simple qui respecte les ingrédients et met en valeur les fruits de mer.
Merci encore !
Awesome as always!! Everything was perfect...from the greeting, to being seated,l and served.
Stupendous in every way... delicious and beautifully presented food, excellent service. A memorable meal on our last night in Montreal.
Le Filet has been on our "must try" list for at least 2 years now - glad we finally had an 'excuse' to try it out during a visit with a friend . The menu has options for all tastes; dishes are creative in their preparation and presentation - a truly delightful dining experience. We tried the oysters, tuna tartare, octopus, the fish on the fly (which was Halibut during our visit ) and and amazing lobster gnocchi.
The food, service and atmosphere more than met our expectations . We will certainly not wait so long for a return visit!
Again, another overrated Montreal restaurant that serve food with nice name, nice decoration, and nice look, but with bad flavor, too salty and not worth the money spent.
The people are nice. The decor modern, but dark. A bit noisy since the ceiling is low.
But the food, under a fake set up, is very ordinary and pretend to be more classy than it taste.
Another place people like to pretend to go, but that the chef is cooking with a twist try to make the illusion it taste good, but it is not.
I got recommended this restaurant by a waiter at Barroco. Each dish seems it's taken care of. I really enjoyed their seafood dish. Their service was very remarkable. They are friendly and welcoming. Definitely want to visit again! :)
Totally worth going. Was taken care of very well, would totally go back. Even plan a trip to montreal just to get a crack at eating here again.
We had high hopes after we had amazing oysters with jalapeño, maple and miso. The service was fantastic. Our second course - scallop cerviche was beautiful but bland. The colors were gorgeous but ultimately the flavor was lacking. Our main courses - steak for my husband and lobster gnocchi for me - were fine but nothing exceptional. The lobster was slightly fishy. Overall, we expected more based on previous reviews and the prices. The restaurant itself was cute - looked sort of like any sushi restaurant in any city - dark colors, sleek, with tones of underwater. Based on the oysters and service, we might go back to try again and hope for better luck.
