From the street you don't even know there is a restaurant, and the foyer and entrance is underwhelming, but then the amazing service begins. The entire wait staff are attentive, welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Everything we ate was excellent with attention to detail on traditional ingredients. The Caesar salad was exactly how it should be with hints of anchovies. The red sauce was made with pomodoro tomatoes. From appetizers to mains (no room for dessert) the dishes were spot on. We found this place by accident because it was near the hotel and we are so glad we did.

Le meilleur service à vie. Nous n’avons jamais vu ça à nul part. Tout le personnel ainsi que les propriétaires le père et sa fille ont été au petit soins avec nous. Je leurs donne la médaille d’or du meilleur service obtenu dans tous les restos de Montréal. On y retourne assurément très très bientôt. Merci encore xx

Impeccable service everytime ! Eating at le Muscadin is definitely a memorable experience. Josie, Leo and the entire staff are so welcoming, feels like home. On Saturdays they have live music. The food is incredible, I have happy danced after every bite no matter what I order. Highly recommend this restaurant not only for the delicious food but for the overall experience! I have been here many times and always left with a rose on the way out, followed by a beautiful goodbye, it’s the little things in life!

Celebrated our anniversary here and everything was phenomenal except our waiter accidentally poured our slightly expensive bottle of wine to the table next to us. He made up for it by buying us a round. Other than that everything was phenomenal!

Phenomenal service - we felt attended to without being hovered over. The dishes were elegantly appointed and superbly seasoned, a true culinary experience. My wife and I are foodies and we were very pleased. You’re made to feel like family - thank you to the owner for surprising and delighting my wife for her birthday with a single beautiful rose and sparklers in her dessert. 10/10 recommend.

The service was great. The owners and servers were very friendly, helpful and extremely attentive. The lentil soup was outstanding. Other dishes were a bit lackluster. The bacon with my spaghetti allapana was undercooked and rubbery. It still gave a nice flavor but I didn’t eat most of that part. My husband had the swordfish with a tomato compote and yummy mashed potatoes. It was very tasty but the serving was pretty small. We shared the crème brûlée for dessert. It came in a ramekin you’d usually get a serving of ketchup served. The topping was soft and didn’t have the crispy sugar layer. I wanted to really like everything more for how proud they are of their restaurant and for the prices we were paying. It was still an enjoyable evening in lovely Montreal. Cheers!

A great family atmosphere. I used to be a regular until I moved off the island and pop in whenever I feel like dodging orange cones in Montreal. Still remembers my name. Food has not changes since I first ate there. I can taste every single ingredient. Highly recommended

My wife and I were in Montreal for a couple of days, visiting our favourite gallery, le Musée des Beaux Arts, and finally enjoying an anniversary celebration dinner at this fine Italian restaurant recommended to us by a family member. The owners and staff of Le Muscadin made it a truly memorable experience. Service was friendly, personal and attentive (but not intrusive). Our main server (one of an impressive team) was easygoing, informative and accommodating. The food was subtly presented, but every single bite: assolutamente delizioso. We had the excellent value Cena (Table d'hôte), between us a tortellini in a rich creamy rosé sauce, insalata with a zesty vinaigrette, heavenly ethereal eggplant parmesan, perfectly grilled striped bass with vegetables, saffron rissotto with shrimp and red pepper, finished off with a small but satisfying plate of canoli/praline/biscotti. We shared a bottle of white from their extensive wine list, and managed two baskets of light but delicious bruschetta. Superb dining experience. Grazie molto.

Restaurant Le Muscadin provided fine service and good, inventive Italian cuisine. My husband enjoyed appetizer of rigatoni arrebiata. My mixed green salad was fresh. Tuna entrée with sesame seeds was a bit dry but improved with squirts of decent olive oil. Haricots verts with broccoli rabe were tasty. I had ordered mistakenly tuna for my husband, as well. We supplemented with a side of mushroom risotto, which he had wanted as his entrée. It was flavorful. As dessert, we had the autumn trio, panettone, almond chocolate cake, & a slice of moist apple cake. We liked the second and third. Hot coffee was strong and hot, as we prefer. Daniel, our server, and Josie, the owner’s daughter, were great.

L'accueil est très chaleureux (particulièrement de la part de la fille du propriétaire). L'ambiance est calme, invitante. Les couverts sont impeccables et la nourriture est bonne. La carte des vins est assez complète (mais quelque peu onéreuse). Le service est attentionné et discret à la fois mais surtout soucieux de bien répondre aux besoins des clients.
