   Hardly recommended. The food was excellent, the price good. The service excellent and the ambiance good. No the restaurant problem but the clients. Some do not respect the other people and talk and laugh loudly.

    We ordered the beef tartare to share which was nice but not well balanced. I duck itself for the duck confit was okay, but the sauce and the sides that came along with it were delicious. We also got the Alberta lamb steak which was absolutely delicious. It made up for the other two misses. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the best seat in the house which made our experience less enjoyable. Overall, the ambience is very nice and lively.

    I love this restaurant. Everything about it is appealing. However for some bizarre reason the regular bar tender, Orita, has been assigned to the dining room rather than the bar and replaced by a series of somewhat inexperienced young men. It does not make sense. Please bring back Orita! Her regulars miss her!

    Le Pois Penché went from good to excellent. This establishment is now one of Montreals finest places for a great meal on an amazing corner for people watching. Whether you choose the dining room or the outdoor patio you’ll love the vibe and atmosphere. Highly recommended!

    I rated 4 stars because of waiter’s service, otherwise it will be a 1 star. Dinner for Mother’s Day, Rémi offered us an amazing service (5 stars), I’ve let the manager know. However the consierge offered us a terrible service. I asked him to seat us to a table for two with banquette for my mama to be more comfortable and he told me it is reserved for a couple, without even checking properly on his reservation system. That table was free until our 2hrs service was completed and I paid the bill.

    We went for Mother’s Day brunch. The restaurant is very charming. The dishes we very good and decent serving size. The service was very good as well. They brought us fresh baguette and butter and jam. This has become rare now in Montreal restaurants. Everything from the bread, to the pastries, main dishes and coffee was excellent.

    Second time at Le Pois Penché and it didn’t disappoint. Sat at the bar. Cocktail was perfect. Crab cake was full of crab. This fish of the day was cooked to perfection.

    The bread was terrific, and plentiful. Otherwise the experience was weird. We were seated next the serving station which was entertaining as there were many moving chaotic pieces. After we summoned a waiter, he had no idea how to take an order and keep it straight. Our meal was satisfactory, but our order was not complete. We had cava, mussels, french onion soup and a salmon plat. Nothing special and nothing personal.

    We started with soups, scallop ceviche, for mains we had halibut, lamb sirloin and confit de canard. Great dessert too! All was delicious - topped off with excellent service! Wonderful evening!

    Great food, great ambience. Not too stuffy, not too hip. The kind of place that attracts a mix of young and old. A place that's lively and fun to be in, but quiet enough that you can enjoy an intimate conversation. The house-made cavatelli with mushrooms was sensational.

    Excellent repas avec des produits de belle qualité, et la carte des vins est tout à fait intéressante. Très beau choix à bon prix au vu de la qualité. Le service a été très bon et sympathique, mais un peu familier. Question de goût personnel, mais je préfère un peu plus de distance (sans froideur) avec le personnel de salle. L'endroit est agréable dans un style de belle brasserie à la française. Je recommande sans aucune réserve.

    Very good seafood platter for 2. Good quality and amount of seafood. Price of a bottle of wine is pretty outrageous as is at most restaurants.

    I always love going to Le Pois Penché. It is a classic French brasserie, with plenty of elevated options (sea bass, vegetarian plates, and so on). They also make the best salade Niçoise in the city. I sometimes dine alone, as my husband and sons are often out of town, and they always make sure I have a lovely table and flawless service, no less so than if I was part of a larger group. Service is perfectly timed and never rushed (American copycats, take note!) If you love fresh, beautifully crafted dishes; a well-edited wine list; and old-school glamor, you will adore Le Pois Penché, just as I do.

    Drinks and appetizers were delicious. Service was awful our waiter didn't introduce himself and was not attentive. Seemed weird with the entree you have protein and a starch or salad. The meal seems unbalanced.

    Great place to eat in Montreal. We sat at the bar. The bartender was super attentive. Ordered the seafood tower for 2. It was amazing. Super fresh with some of the best muscles we have ever had . We would go back for sure .

    Excellent service, nice ambiance, food was fantastic except we were underwhelmed by the French Onion soup. It was watery and not much flavour or enough onions, in my opinion. The complimentary bread was delicious and so was the main course, duck confit. The crème brûlée was fantastic. Overall, we would highly recommend.

    My wife had the crab cake and the mushroom cavatelli. I had the petit beef tartare and the canard confit. Everything was incredible. Would definitely dine here again.
