    This place was fantastic. I went there for my birthday and was treated like a king. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. I had the grilled octopus appetizer with hummus and the bouillabaisse entree and my wife had the snails followed by the duck confit. We both had decadent desserts. Special thanks to our wonderful waiter for making this a special evening.

    Good food and the service is top notch. Everyone made us feel welcome and special. We would go back just for the service alone. We had some leftover NY steak that we brought back and my nephews shared it as a snack and they said it was delicious even after warming up for 30 seconds. Food is absolutely great!

    We as a group of six enjoyed the foods and wine very much Sunday evening. If I may point out two things, there was a little girl wearing pyjama on the next table and a large mess of blood from stake was not cleaned until we asked.

    Dear Saori, Thank you kindly for your review. I wonder where the little girl in pyjamas came from? There is a hotel next door, connected to the restaurant by a door. There are also many residents in the area who treat us as a second home, but it's quite unusual to see someone dressed for bed in our dining room. As for the steak, we assume you ordered the 32-oz rib steak served table-side. We will remind our staff to be neat with the juices. Thank you for pointing it out.     Food excellent, we had the onion soup and the NY steak, this last perfectly done. Service: it surprised me at the beginning since if I don’t ask for an aperitif none of the table service helper asked me what I want, they were always in a rush not listening at our complete order. After calling the attention they were very diligent.

    Bonjour JeremieM, Notre règle, c’est d’offrir un service attentif, pas de gonfler la facture. Peu importe la vitesse à laquelle nous remplissons votre verre, il est impossible pour nous de vous obliger à le boire plus vite. D’ailleurs, il nous est déjà arrivé d’avoir la plainte contraire : “Nous avons été obligés de remplir notre propre verre”. Nous allons quand même partager votre critique avec notre équipe. Nous sommes d'accord avec vous qu’il est mieux de remplir un verre quand il est presque vide que quand il est à moitié plein. Nous sommes à l’écoute. On ne bâtit pas une clientèle loyale en vous faisant dépenser sans mesure. Nous préférons vous revoir plusieurs fois que vous avoir une fois. Fede Directeur de l’hospitalité

    We went for brunch for a friend’s birthday. The servers kept changing. They forgot our coffees and brought our food quickly. The omelet which I’d ordered on previous occasions was cold and nothing else was on the plate. The taste was not good. My friend returned her food because the bacon was fat and cold. We were never offered more coffee. The waitress never reappeared so I had to go get her. $80 for brunch for 2? Food was cold, poor tasting and the service was lousy. I will not return….this had been a brunch go to place but NO MORE.

    Quite possibly the best solo dining experience I’ve ever had. I started with the petit salmon tartare (classic style) served with fried wonton chips and paired it with a glass of Riesling; my tastebuds came alive! I didn’t think it could get any better until the Bouillabaisse arrived. I ordered it based on the stellar reviews and was not disappointed. The broth was so rich and full-bodied and the seafood was cooked beautifully and the little crostinis on top were perfect! Tip: save room for the crème brûlée that will change your life. EVERYONE of the team members at Le Pois Penché were incredibly warm and welcoming, by far the friendliest service I’ve had!!! Try something new, dine out alone, or walk the neighborhood. There were plenty of people out and about enjoying the evening and I felt safe in the area.

    Celebrated a 30th birthday in Montreal and got dinner here and the service was impeccable! They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. Our waitress Marwa really took the time to go over the menu with us and even offered to take pictures and videos for our table. She sent out a dessert for the birthday boy with a sparkler for the candle which was a very nice touch! Over all we all had a great experience! We will be back for sure!

    We have eaten here on every visit to Montreal because you always have something that can accommodate dietary restrictions. This time, the food and service were very good but the "live music" was unnecessary. We were hoping for a "French food" experience but the extremely loud rat-pack impersonator was out of place and made it impossible to have a conversation.
