Nous sommes très fiers de notre saumon fumé maison, homard avec œufs pochés, pain doré avec crème fromage et chocolat blanc et "L'Américain", notre assiette brunch classique avec du bacon à l'érable épais comme un steak et saucisse faite chez nous. Peut-être que vous trouverez des favoris lors de votre prochaine visite. Nous, on aime bien mettre plein de plats au milieu et partager. Ce serait un grand plaisir de vous revoir !     Excellent meal as always at Pois Penché! One of the best Steak Tartare in the city and the duck confis was wonderful! Friendly recommendation: As with many restos, Pois Penché must start to label foods for allergies (gluten, etc). Overall great experience and service as always!

    Dear JohnK, Thank you for your compliments! We will consider your comments regarding menu labelling for allergies. We used to do it, but the design of the pages was getting heavy with icons to satisfy everyone: gluten, lactose, nuts, vegetarian, vegan... Our staff has a booklet available in the dining room to confirm even the most minute food intolerance upon request.     Party of 4, one meal was excellent, which was the Grilled Octopus and Salmon Tartare as a main meal, the remaining 3 all ordered the Hangar Steak and all 3 were very disappointed, not cooked to the requests, such as med rare and all found meat tough, chewy and tasteless, until they put sauces on the meat. The French fries are a huge disappointment as well. Extremely small pieces, very thin, which makes them get cold faster. The soup appetizer was very hot and delicious

    Dear Giovanni1992, We feel bad that you didn't leave our restaurant with a good impression of the food. Please, accept our apologizes. It's not a normal situation. We will ask our chef to check the last delivery of hanger steak. It's a cut full of flavour, but naturally chewier than our NY. It must be cooked just right, closer to rare than medium. Regarding our homemade fries, they should stay warm all the way through your meal. They must've taken too long to get to your table. Did you inform our team of the problem? How did they manage it? We guarantee our dishes and it would've been our pleasure to correct the errors immediately. We hope we'll be able to regain your trust. Fede Director of hospitality

    This place was fantastic. I went there for my birthday and was treated like a king. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. I had the grilled octopus appetizer with hummus and the bouillabaisse entree and my wife had the snails followed by the duck confit. We both had decadent desserts. Special thanks to our wonderful waiter for making this a special evening.

    Good food and the service is top notch. Everyone made us feel welcome and special. We would go back just for the service alone. We had some leftover NY steak that we brought back and my nephews shared it as a snack and they said it was delicious even after warming up for 30 seconds. Food is absolutely great!

    We as a group of six enjoyed the foods and wine very much Sunday evening. If I may point out two things, there was a little girl wearing pyjama on the next table and a large mess of blood from stake was not cleaned until we asked.

There are also many residents in the area who treat us as a second home, but it's quite unusual to see someone dressed for bed in our dining room. As for the steak, we assume you ordered the 32-oz rib steak served table-side. We will remind our staff to be neat with the juices. Thank you for pointing it out.     Food excellent, we had the onion soup and the NY steak, this last perfectly done. Service: it surprised me at the beginning since if I don’t ask for an aperitif none of the table service helper asked me what I want, they were always in a rush not listening at our complete order. After calling the attention they were very diligent.

    Bonjour JeremieM, Notre règle, c’est d’offrir un service attentif, pas de gonfler la facture. Peu importe la vitesse à laquelle nous remplissons votre verre, il est impossible pour nous de vous obliger à le boire plus vite. D’ailleurs, il nous est déjà arrivé d’avoir la plainte contraire : “Nous avons été obligés de remplir notre propre verre”. Nous allons quand même partager votre critique avec notre équipe. Nous sommes d'accord avec vous qu’il est mieux de remplir un verre quand il est presque vide que quand il est à moitié plein. Nous sommes à l’écoute. On ne bâtit pas une clientèle loyale en vous faisant dépenser sans mesure. Nous préférons vous revoir plusieurs fois que vous avoir une fois. Fede Directeur de l’hospitalité
