Excellent in every way! Food is always hot, which is truly appreciated. You can't go wrong with any choice you make. Lamb with rosemary sauce yummy. A jewel in Tarzana!

It's been many years since we dined at Le Sanglier, the last time was just after the new owner took over. We weren't very impressed since we were hoping for some welcome updates to the restaurant and menu. Five years later we decided to try it again. Maybe it's the passing of time, but the experience was much better than we remember. The service was prompt and welcoming and though the menu hasn't changed dramatically, the food was even better than we remembered. Their bouillabaisse was very flavorful, as was my wife's beef bourguignon. The duck and chicken liver paté made for a perfect starter. We brought our own wine and paid the (not unreasonable) $20 corkage. Le Sanglier was a nice contrast to many of the crowded and noisy restaurants in the valley. It's a bit pricey, but we're looking forward to going back soon.

I love this restaurant and eat here about twice a month. My husband loves the duck, but last night he found it to be somewhat dry. I love their homemade French fries, but last night I found them to be greasy. Don't let these comments stop you from going. Perhaps the chef did not feel well. This restaurant is lovely in every way. You can't go wrong!

I will not go back to that restaurant again. first of all the restaurant was 99% empty. There were two server which one of them looked so angry and unfriendly. we ordered sauté shrimp with Tarragon butter which was ok , my business partner had filet mignon with peppercorn sauce , and I asked our server which of these two dish is most popular in this restaurant? is it duck with orange sauce or beef Bourguignon he suggested duck with orange sauce. so I took his advice, presentation looked great but duck had hardly any meet on it , and it was so dry I even had difficulty to cut through , it could not be fresh cook. i had maybe two bits of vegetable and mash potatoes and a bite of duck that couldn’t chew, I let our server know about. another thing that bother us was every few minutes one of them will come to our table and asking our you done can we take the plate? very annoying.. I must say that the wine I ordered was very good. This is the very pricy restaurant for what they offer. of course we paid the bill in full ! they did not had a courtesy to offer anything in order to compensate the dish went back to kitchen. I will not go back to this restaurant, and do not recommend to anyone. What a waste of money. 😞

After reading all the good reviews, decided to dine here and we were so disappointed. Yelp would probably give you a better judgement review-wise and we should’ve checked it earlier. Anyways, we ordered escargots and bone marrow for appetizers. Escargots were ok, but the bone marrow felt like it was just taken out of the freezer and cooked, you could taste that awful freezer taste. Same with duckling and even the veggies on the side (beans). Bouillabaisse was ok, but the fish in it is not so great. The bread was good. This is probably the only thing that filled us up. We didn’t finish even a half of any of our entrees and just left. Decided not to try dessert.

Great dinner with friends once again. All 4 of us had the dory, which we love, and the souffle is always fantastic! Service super friendly but never annoying. So great to have such a neighborhood gem nearby.

We went for my Birthday. I chose this restaurant because I wanted French onion soup. When they brought my my French onion soup, it was greasy oily broth. No onions at all!! The broth didn’t even taste of onions. It was inedible. All the chef could say was sorry. Very disappointing. My husbands chicken piccata was just ok. The chocolate soufflé was good. Not sweet though.

This was our first visit - and we'll be back. The vibe is lovely. The host is delightful. The entre portions are large - which explains why many were going home with leftovers. Loved the lobster bisque and the pate! And the bread pudding and tarte tatin are scrumptious.

It was a beautiful night at Le Sanglier! Everything was delightful. Had French onion soup, escargot, bone marrow, lamb chops, duck l’orange and cherries jubilee - all delicious. The owner and wait staff made the night so fun. We had a special booth in the back with curtains - very romantic. My husband had a wonderful birthday dinner!

This was an anniversary celebration and it could not have been more perfect! Quiet, cozy, romantic with outstanding service and authentic and delicious French cuisine. We heartily recommend! You won’t be disappointed!

Le Sanglier is a wonderful place to dine. We have eaten at this restaurant many times. This was the first time we had eaten at Le Sanglier on a Friday night. We found the patrons to be much more lively, and loud than on other nights like Wednesday, or Thursday. So for a quieter meal, patrons may want to enjoy a meal on those nights. The food is always great. The full bar serves many cocktails, and Le Sanglier is a perfect place for a special occasion.

We went for our anniversary and as usual, the service, the food and the ambiance was excellent. Our only regret is that the restaurant is only open four days a week. One last comment: this is a fine dining restaurant. Come on people, dress up!
