   After not having been to Le Select since it was on Queen Street, I have enjoyed lunch there twice this week. Food is wonderful - you won't find a better French Onion Soup - and the service is above par.

   Le Sêlect, in its previous location on Bloor Street, was one of the few good French restaurants left in Toronto. Our recent visit in the new location was the second in the past year, and we were somewhat disappointed in our experience. The ambience, service, noise level were excellent, but like most people, I hope, we chose it for the food. And the food was disappointing. Brandade de morue is a dish one encounters in many unpretentious restaurants in France, but the version served here had no character , and little taste. Second course, moules frites, was served n a thick , creamy, curious-tasting sauce. Now this is a dish that is difficult to ruin, normally! My wife's choice (Tarte aux poires and trait meunière) was considerably better, but not memorable. Alas! this will probably be our last visit to this restaurant!

   From the moment we walked in and were greeted, exceptional service followed us throughout the meal. The food experience was also top notch. When we had questions, both our server and the manager we were extremely helpful! 5 stars!

    One of my absolute favourite restaurants to go to. Food and service were, as always, exceptional. Had the chocolate soufflé for the first time and it was definitely worth the 15 minute wait.
