I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The service was outstanding and satisfactory.
Great experience, food was amazing from the oysters to lamb. Our waitress was amazing.
excellent Greek food. Terrific ambience on the deck in front of the restaurant.
We had a great dinner. Amazing food and even better service!
Service was slow but I am going to assume that it’s because of worker shortage. Food was delicious AS ALWAYS!!
Decor and Ambiance was warm.
Service was great!
Food presentation, taste, and quality was excellent.
Absolutely loved it! Can't wait to go back!
Food was excellent as was the service!
I’m definitely coming back and would highly recommend Lefkes!
The restaurant is very spacious with both outdoor and indoor seating. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding.
Nice dinner. Food was good although a bit too much time between courses. Service was attentive.
Very good food! But pricey
Live music , happy ambience
We made a reservation and popped in on a Sunday evening. It's very pretty, with light woods and interesting light fixtures. We were seated at the bar, even though we asked for indoor dining room seating. It was very dark, as bars usually are. I needed my phone flashlight in order to read the menu. We asked if we could be moved, and they checked and told us that there was going to be a party in the dining room later and we'd be unhappy with the noise. There was no party. In reality, they had many empty tables, but didn't want to open up that area of the restaurant. The food is tasty. I had the grilled octopus, which was done beautifully. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly, and came with delicious lemon potatoes. The service was a bit off, but maybe that is due to service staffing issues with Covid? They kept bringing our food without clearing off the dishes from the last course, and the waiter didn't seem to give us his full attention. He would talk with other staff people while speaking to us, interrupting our ordering. It was rude. Anyway, the summary is: good food with iffy service, and poor seating. When we left, the hostess apologized for seating us at the bar and told us that she will make sure to seat us in the dining room when we come back. Why wait until we return? Why not seat us in the dining room, as our reservation was made for, tonight? We won't be coming back...
I came for lunch on a Sunday at 2pm but was told the we could only order from the brunch menu. If they are having a special event they should make a note of it on their website. It was disappointing that we couldn't order from the regular menu.
Reservations are not honored. The place is double booked. When you arrive they will try to seat you outside because of their inside space is overbooked.
It seems you need to have connections or know someone in order to be serviced. Food was delicious as well as cocktails, but service was poor.
We booked our reservation over a month in advance and came from far away by car service to celebrate a birthday. When booking the reservation I specifically asked for inside because we were coming from far away and wanted the “party vibe” from inside . When we arrived we were shuffled to outdoor seating where the table was not set, there were not enough seats and were given 4 menus for a table of 9 guests. We ultimately waited an hour to get served our drinks and had to get up to go seek out the wait staff to get served. We were also told that the music from inside would be played to the outdoor tent (which it was not). We then asked to get moved to a table later in the night indoors after 10 pm and the we were told to go to the bar. The staff was so rude and all we wanted was to be seated inside to celebrate our special occasion.
Go all the time. Always solid. Good food, great service
We had a special family surprise- a baby was coming to the family!!
I booked a table for Friday to enjoy the live DJ and party. I called the restaurant directly because open table would not allow a booking for the # of the people in my party. In that conversation I confirmed that there would be a party and a live DJ. Some of my guests drove from an hour away and others arranged babysitters so that we could enjoy a party night out. I’m sure you can imagine my dismay when we were seated OUTSIDE in a TENT in the PARKING LOT when I arrived. The girl at the front desk absolutely did not care - she had the nerve to tell me it was first come first served - how much earlier could I have booked than over a week in advance in order to be seated indoors at the actual party? She then told me that the DJ’s set was piped into the tent- LOL if I can post the video of the tent that we were seated in BY OURSELVES I will, so that all can see it was NOT a party.
The tent was freezing and they told us they were sorry but they didn’t have enough heaters to go around. The enclosed patio immediately next to the restaurant doors was about 85 degrees with 10 movable heaters going- none could have been spared for the peasant palace tent we were seated in? We were dressed for a party! Not winter weather! My feet were icicles. There was one heater next to an empty table and the waiter actually told me that he couldn’t take that heater for us because they would need it for whoever got seated at that table... thank you for keeping that space warm for the nonexistent patrons and letting the actual clients freeze..
The tent was in the parking lot. You had to put your jacket on, cross in front of moving cars, and go up 10 stairs to go to the bathroom. You also had high beams and headlights shining into your eyes the entire night, and conversation constantly drowned out by the roar of an engine.
I was disappointed by my experience. There was one employee who was super apologetic and I appreciated that, but apologies dont change the reality of a terrible Time.
It was great! The staff is just amazing! Love it!😘
Since my last review was a little harsh I felt I had to write about my amazing lunch today. OMG. the oysters are always tasty but today…holy moly they were so sweet, plump and juicy!!! 😍. Service was spot on. Food came out as we were finishing our oysters (even ordered more which we gobbled up after our meal). Salmon was perfectly cooked and the side of Brussels were tasty. My companion’s chicken kabob was demolished. He loved it. We shared the Greek yogurt cheesecake and devoured it. Glad we ventured out to enjoy the most gorgeous fall day at our favorite Reataurant. Well done!!
The food was amazing - the branzino, the lamb chops, all the sides were phenomenal. The service could've been better. It took us more than 5 minutes to be greeted by a host/hostess at the front while the host/hostess despite having made a reservation and showing up on time. It took us 3 prompts to get us water. I believe there was a big party upstairs and multiple large groups dining that day, but overall the service seemed a bit all over the place, and there was just too much noise overall.
Sat at our table 40 minutes after our reservation time. The maitre d instead of apologizing rudely asks “are you ready now”. Sat outside (when we booked inside) in 40 degree weather. They didn’t have enough heaters. Everyone on the patio was miserable including the waitstaff. Glasses were dirty, service subpar, 2 of our chairs were soaking wet. They got one drink wrong 4 times. All with 0 apology or reimbursement. Will never go back.
Loved it!! Will definitely be back before the end of 2021 for sure!!
The food is always fresh and great tasting. The waiters are friendly and the bartender make a great drink. Quickly becoming my one of my favorite spots in Bergen County.
Food, vibe and service were very good . However, with reservations and arriving a few minutes early we had to wait an hour in an extremely crowded area where even food was being pushed and carried though the jammed packed area. This should not have happened in any time especially during covin19 time.
Really nicely appointed dining room, with a very upbeat energy. A bit crowded in some areas.
Pleasant service that is not rushed, but also not incredibly attentive. One note is that nobody on staff wore face masks.
Pricey, but food quality definitely justify the expense for a nice occasion. Our meal was delicious, and presented very nicely.
One warning- if you have a gift card, it may be useless. We received one at the very start of the pandemic and finally had a chance to go use it, but we were told that ownership changed and they would not accept it.
In addition, they didn’t honor our outdoor reservation but seated us indoors stating the weather prohibited use of the outdoor areas (the weather was absolutely fine).
Excellent food and ambiance
The fish is Soo fresh and served wonderful
The service was adequate but friendly
Just watch the drink prices can be high
Overall a good dining experience
Great I enjoy more the ambiance
After making a reservation weeks in advance, we were shown a table in the corner of the bar. I asked for a different table and was shown a better table. However, when the hostess took us there, she was told by a manager the table wasn’t available. So we had to accept a table right in the main traffic lane, across the aisle from the better table. No one was ever seated at the better table. In fact, chairs and place settings were salvaged from the better table for other tables.
The waiter acted like he was doing us a favor by taking our order and only checked on us once during the meal. The noise level was deafening.
The food was actually quite good, but I’m not going to go back to a restaurant where my family is treated like second class citizens.
Thank you Marvina!!
Good food & service.
I love Greek food. It is my most favorite and I’ve been to every Greek restaurant pretty much in the area.
We enjoyed the food very much.
Our complaints were:
We asked for an outside table not only because of Covid but we just prefer eating outside because of the limited times of the year that we can do so. They stock is at an indoor table.
Not only was this an indoor table but it was in the bar area and as the evening went on the bar that’s so crowded that unmasked strangers were totally leaning over our table and breathing on our food. We were being bumped all evening by people hanging out near the bar. We dine out with our friends that we know are fully vaccinated and we are happy to be at our own table with them but we didn’t expect to have to swap germs with another 50 strangers right on top of us standing over us as an overflow from the bar.
If I end up with breakthrough Covid, I know exactly where I got it from.
Additionally the music was so loud that we found ourselves screaming to our friends to be able to hear each other….We just gave up trying to speak, eight quietly and had the majority of our dinner conversation on the way home in the car where we can hear each other.
When we first got there we witnessed an argument between a customer who was promised a private room for her husband’s 70th birthday party and the manager because they showed up and there was no such room available to them.
This place has excellent food. We had a lovely waitress who was very sweet but it took forever to pay our bill as no one came to take our credit cards after 20 minutes of having our cards ready. We finally gave up and went up to the reception area and completed our credit card payment there..
It was not easy to get there from our table because we had to walk through crowds of people at the bar who wouldn’t budge to let us through.
This place has the potential to be amazing if they can turn down the music volume and make a delineation between bar pattons
They seated us, gave us water and menus and then came back 10 minutes later to tell us the kitchen is now closed and we cannot order food.
We had reservations at 8:30 for party of 6 on a Saturday night. We showed up 8:20. Was told restaurant overbooked and couldn’t seat us and couldn’t even guarantee seating at 10pm.
Just go there to have a drink at the bar. More of a club scene then dining.
Loved the energy & the vibe. The food was ok but nothing to rave about and wasn't worth the price. The service lacked attention but the hostess was lovely. I'd go back for drinks only and the fun party it turns into.
I love everything about this place
The food is awesome, the services are great and place is nice! definitely will come back again!!!
We had a very nice dinner, Girls night out, and the food was very good. Some of the items are a bit pricey but the fish is always very fresh and my favorite.
As always good food - service is spotty. But overall would absolutely recommend.
