   My daughter and I met my best friend for dinner, and we picked Legacy. The food was great, the seating comfortable, and the noise level appropriate. And while our server was a nice guy - he had way too many tables to be efficient. Our drinks were empty more than they were filled, he was often gone for over 10 minutes at a time, and once we ordered, the food came out sporadically. If we were in a rush, I would have left before our food came.

   Great dinner for 8 people. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Our waiter made several recommendations that were spot on and all the food was great. Thank you for a fun evening.

   I love Legacy Kitchen and have visited all the locations. I still miss the Metairie location. I went on Mother's day and my server was very nice but they seemed understaffed. Service was very slow. Took more than 20 min to receive my drink. Never received the appetizer I ordered. The server advised while bringing the entree that the appetizer had to be remade but at that point I cancelled the appetizer. I always get and love the the chicken and waffles and they did not disappoint. My husband had the corn and crab soup and it was good but was lukewarm on delivery. I would go back but probably avoid going on a busy holiday as I attribute the slow service to that. Also it is noted on OpenTable that there is complimentary parking at the Renaissance hotel however was told that is not true. Took a long time to find a parking spot so that should be updated on this site.

   Three adults in early May 2023. Good service by Tiffany. We ordered club sandwich, pulled pork sandwich and roast beef po-boy. All good. Really enjoyed the truffle fries and the beignet bites.

   Food was not very good. Service was terrible. The meat was being, I returned it and they brought another piece and that was the same. They had me order something worse and that was the porch sandwich. It was fatty and the bread was so soggy it was falling apart. The waiter never checked on us. The only good part was the other staff were amazing. The place has a cool vibe. They didn’t charge for the sandwich.

   Had a great experience at Legacy. I was in New Orleans for a big conference at the convention center. First, Legacy is within walking distance from the convention center. Second, they take reservations. Third, the staff was so friendly! And fourth, the food was fresh and so tasty! We had a shrimp po boy, fries, and gumbo. All were delicious and the shrimp were so fresh. It’s a cute place too. I would 100% go back here.

    We had a mixed experience. Some of our party really enjoyed their food where others did not at all. Service was not great (forgot a drink but charged us for it and then acted like it was our fault, generally acted like they didn't want us to be there). Disappointed overall.

    The food here was exactly what I was looking for. Lots of Cajun cuisine on the menu. Too many options to choose from. The cornbread skillet was great along with the crab cake sliders. I also had a small cup of gumbo was did not disappoint. My main dish was the red fish,which was very tasty, but my favorite was the shrimp pasta. Server was very good also. If you are looking for a good Cajun/ southern place away from bourbon st, you cannot miss this place.

    To be honest, we came here because we forgot to make reservations somewhere, there were multiple conventions in town so nearly every restaurant was booked. Being a bit off the tourist routes, this place had room for us. Are we ever glad we made the decision to eat here! Very nice atmosphere, which seems more upscale than the restaurant is...a nice change from so many restaurants that serve traditional fare at Michelin prices. The staff was pleasant and knew all about the menu on the items, and they didn't mind that we all needed separate cheques. We started with an dip that was incredible. Warm, cheesy, and crispy chips. There were four of us, but the serving was enough that we didn't finish it. I had a traditional club, and it was just that, thank goodness. I don't like something branded a "club" that is really just a sandwich . This was a traditional club, and it was delicious. I also asked for my fries to be crispy, and they WERE! I often have to ask to send the fries back to make them crispy. Legacy got them right the first time! You will not be disappointed.

    My sister and I had just arrived at our hotel located in the Warehouse/ Arts District. We were starving. I checked on a few restaurants on the list provided by the hotel but they were either not open or had no reservations til later. I went on the Open Table app and discovered this restaurant. It was close, the menu looked good and I could make a reservation. We walked over and was greeted by this very welcoming hostess. I told her I had reservations and she called out my name. She seated us, handed us menus and told us the name of our waitstaff Reginik who arrived quickly. She brought water and asked about drinks-my sister a diet soda and I a Sazerac which was very tasty. We had questions about items and asked Reginik what she liked. She was very helpful. I ordered the fried chicken breast and waffle and my sister the shrimp and Grits. Both were so tasty. My chicken was not greasy or salty and had a nice crust. The waffle with bacon pieces was delish. My sister said that was the best shrimp and Grits she's ever had. They were also not salty and the gits were very creamy like mashed potatoes. My sister asked me for a dessert menu. Our waitstaff was not available so I went to the hostess stand and met James who said he was one of the managers. He was very friendly and I asked if there was a dessert menu. He said there was not a written one but then told me the list of items. I asked him to come to the table and recite the list as I would forget and he did. We chatted a while and then left. It was a very nice experience and I highly recommend this establishment. The food we had was great and we highly recommend it.

    Waitress was very attentive and our food came out at a nice pace. The gumbo was good but it was lukewarm in temperature. My ahi tuna salad was very very good- was exactly what I wanted and I was happy that they offered it on the menu

    We reserved to dine with a business associate and arrived promptly at our reserved time. We were seated but were not greeted, provided with silverware or wster for 30 minutes. I tried to attract the attention of a server but they avoided eye contact. We eventually were greeted and ordered a bottle of wine. After another 30 minutes without the wine arriving, we walked out as had several other tables the failed to be served. If they were short staffed an explanation and an estimate of the wait time for food would have been courteous and welcome, none was provided.

    Our server was fantastic and our main courses were wonderful. The only downsides were (1.) the hostess would not allow us push our table together with the table next to us so our Group of Seven could eat together, despite the fact, or tables were only 6 feet apart, and we had the same server; and (2.) are appetizer did not come out before our meal, and when it arrived, it was cold on the inside.

    Great Ambiance. Was looking forward to the Blackened shrimp tacos, but were taken off the menu. The waitress was very friendly and receptive. Drinks took a while and we're delivered to the wrong table. Chicken was overcooked and difficult to cut. Too much dressing on the Shrimp salad. I will probably give them a second try.     Definitely under-rated, both for the quality of food and the ambience. It's clean, with interesting -- but still New Orleans' inspired -- dishes, with a friendly staff who appear to obviously enjoy working here. Our server, Yulri, was fantastic.

    Sunday night business dinner. Restaurant barely full but two very large parties seemed to occupy our waitress a good deal of the time. Appetizers took forever and when delivered were cold. Brick chicken was good but shrimp po’boy wasn’t. And beignet dessert bites were heavy, doughy and tasted like old oil. Just awful. So disappointing. I know our waitress tried harder at the end but it just didn’t work. Can’t recommend and I won’t be back.

    We had a wonderful waitress named Tiffany who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. The food was outstanding and I would highly recommend the tavern to anyone visiting the area. The seared tuna salad and crab corn chowder were out of this world.
