Legs Diamond was conceived as a result of over 37 years in the fine dining and catering business. We wanted an intimate and smaller space to work in. And quickly decided we would make it unique. The use of sterling silver and fine bone china and miss matching them on the tables goes with the rich mahogany and purple heart wood and copper used throughout the space. Antique cabinets, dressers and tables and our new custom made purple heart dining tables all add a warm ambiance to the place. There is a certain casualness, even quirkiness with the place while at the same time appearing unpretentious. Service is discreet and relaxed, efficient and friendly.

Great service and delicious meals for all capped off a wonderful birthday celebration at Legs Diamond. Our son raved about his duck entree. I really enjoyed my deconstructed Beef Wellington, which could only have been improved by a touch more seasoning.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and can highly recommend the venue.

We had a fabulous dinner for five recently. Got a reservation on fairly short notice and wasn't sure what to expect. Loved the intimate, family fun atmosphere. The appetizers and drinks were good, while the mains (duck & lamb) we had (and dessert) were quite outstanding. Looking forward to a return visit!

Food took forever, over an hour after order. When we asked the waitess she told us our plates where next out, not true as we first got it after 15 min more waiting and 6 other custosomer getting their food before us.
When the food came out the salmon was overcooked and the vegetables wasn't fully cooked. They are not equipet to handle more than a few orders per order, and when the get a full booked dinner room they fail badly.

There was another couple dining in the restaurant and I do not know how noisy it would be if it was full. The food was very good and the wine from Argentina was perfect with everything we ate. No complaints and a delightful memory.

New chef. He was talking on his cell phone most of the time. Main course took an hour to come. Scallops were innedable. Over cooked into little quarter sized pucks. Server comped a couple of drinks when the bill came. I'd wait untill the cook gets it together before going there.

The restaurant itself is quite nice, small, rustic and charming. We dined there on a Saturday evening, we were a party of six and were seated immediately but, then didn't see our server for a good ten minutes. We ordered a bottle of wine, a friend tasted it and then our server left it on the table for us to serve ourselves, slightly bothersome but, no big deal. We ordered starters, meatballs and the "legs spread" both really good. When she served the starters she also brought out our salad (that we requested to have with our entrees) when we asked that it be served later, she told us it was a "starter" and it needed to be served with the starters (even though the person who had ordered a salad as their entree was able to have it served with our entrees) hmmm...maybe just put it in the fridge for 15 minutes. We ordered a second bottle of wine to have with our entrees, it took forever, would be nice to have some sort of flow and asked at some point in the evening if we needed anything. Our entrees were hit and miss the Duck, Salmon and Lamb were all delicious. However, the Pasta tasted like it was out of package and the Scallops and Venison dish was a definite miss with the Scallops being small and tough. The kicker came at the end of the night (after a night of really poor service)when we asked to spilit the bill (didn't see the overall bill until after we had paid) and were not told the gratuity had been included. Funny as we used the machine, our server sat down and started chatting with us watching us as we tipped twice without knowing. Never going back AND life lesson learned, make sure to ask if the gratuity is included.

We went to Legs Diamond on the recommendation of a friend. We were there at 6pm on a Friday during ski season - and it was nearly empty. All the staff seem like very lovely people, though the server was clearly very inexperienced (we had to ask for refills on wine, for example, in a restaurant that had 3 occupied tables). The food was disappointing all around, from a very over-peppered French onion soup to very over-cooked duck (both ways). The charcuterie plate was little more than some slices of salami with chunks of gruyere on top of each piece, a slice of cambazola, some untoasted pita bread, and a collection of olives. The house pate was ok. I was also hoping to order the burger that is featured on their open table page, but alas, there was no burger on the menu. Adding insult to injury, they were ‘out’ of creme brûlée, one of four desserts on the menu. On a Friday night. Maybe I was there on a really off night?

Legs Diamond is a small friendly restaurant with good service and great food.
It can be cold in the winter if you sit by the front door. Our table was a bit wobbly.
Service was friendly, efficient and professional.
The portions for the food were not large but the flavours and presentation were outstanding.
It's worth a try.

We sat down a few minutes early for our reservation, announced ourselves and someone hardly paying attention pointed to an open table. We sat down for 10 minutes without being greeted, given menus, or offered anything. The small restaurant was not busy and the staff were doing busy work like polishing glasses and refilling water. We weren’t even sure they were aware of our presence, so we left and found a MUCH better restaurant. We asked the table next to us if they received any level of service to which the responded “eventually.” We ran into the family the following day and they said they too wished they had left. This place is only in business because of unknowing tourists.

Maybe they were having an off night, but after reading all the glowing reviews we were disappointed. The onion soup had little flavor other than WAY too much pepper. The salmon was ok, but was a bit overcooked and the accompaniments arrived cold (they brought fresh vegetables when asked). The duck was a overcooked and tough, but had potential as the sauce was good. The staff was friendly.

We picked this restaurant b/c it's close to our accommodation @ Blackcomb and it was ranked high on OpenTable. Unfortunately our experience did not live up to the ranking. I ordered FRENCH ONION SOUP which didn't come in the traditional crock bowl style (cheese melted over bread covering the soup); instead, it came in a wide rim, shallow soup plate with a few cheese bread pieces floating. The soup had many chunky star anise pieces; it was impossible to avoid getting one in your mouth. Definitely not worth the $14.
My main dish PRAWN CAESAR SALAD was also disappointing. The prawns were cold and the romaine wedges were big and difficult to cut (the menu didn't indicate the romaine was going to come in big wedges; I was expecting a tossed Caesar salad). the regular knife on the table was to dull to cut the romaine into bite size so I had to ask for a steak knife to cut my salad. My husband ordered a cocktail which was almost as expensive as my dish.
The restaurant is small and quaint; it has so much potential. Until they update the quality of the food, I will not return. Service was good though.

Would have had top marks except for two food issues.

Hummus was lacking in acid. We stirred in some lemon juice and it was excellent.

Beef Wellington was not Beef Wellington. Sliced steak on puff pastry is not what a customer expects. Call it something else or make it properly.

Both my husband and our daughter enjoyed their meals but mine was over cooked. I ordered the Salmon . By the time the food came I was very hungry so ate most of the Salmon. When I told the server about the Salmon the comment was " that is unusual for that to happen" .

So I don't think I would recommend the Salmon......not sure I would rush back to the place.

Waitress Maria was fabulous. The food was very good, but her service was the best. The lamb shank, beef Wellington and duck were all delicious. Highly recommended.

The food is amazing. The service outstanding. The staff is charming. The atmosphere is cozy. The fried cheese cake is out-of-this-world!!

Thank goodness a friend introduced me to Legs Diamond a few years ago. Every time we visit Whistler we MUST have dinner at Legs Diamond.

I love Legs Diamond so much that even though I was there two days ago (for my 50th bday) I’ll be back again tonight.

The restaurant was busy on arrival but most tables left soon after. Service was fast! So fast that the main courses arrived before starters had been finished. The kitchen looks out onto the small restaurant so the chef could see we were still eating. The food was OK. It felt like we were being rushed and were home in just over an hour.

The ambiance was great and the food awesome. Very good imagination on the part of the chef regarding presentation and balance of flavours and textures. A standard dish like Caesar salad with prawns was presented as a head of Romain lettuce sliced lengthwise and stuffed with a mix of Caesar salad dressing, bacon and other tidbits, arranged very creatively on the plate. I'll definitely be back several times a year.

Maria did a terrific job as our server. The food was very nicely prepared in good sized portions. My cocktail was perfect and the wine recommendation was spot on. The lighting and ambient music needs a little work. I will certainly return.

Really sorry to write this but it was a horrible experience. We ordered the duck which was why we went there in the first place. It was dry and not at all like what it should be. We complained to the hostess who said she would let the chef know. We then had the most bizarre experience with the manager/owner showing up. He would not acknowledge our complaint but offered to play music we liked! Sorry to say but he was HAMMERED! Not what I expect from a supposedly top rated restaurant. There was no acknowledgement of our complaint or any attempt to address it. The hostess and service was fine. The chef not so much. The manager/owner should get a different job/business

We bought vouchers for dinner for four and made a reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was closed. We phoned the owner and he made some excuses but this was the only night we were in Whistler so now we have to try and get our money back for the vouchers. $120. Extremely disappointing.

We like this place but unfortunately they were out of the fish and chips. Had the duck which was very dry, shared this feedback with the server but nothing as done to compensate that and didn't eat half of the dish. I wouldn't recommend getting it as not only was it dry but the blueberry compote didn't work. Rest of food was lovely and wine recommended by server was great.

Firstly, I'd like to say that the food at Legs Diamond was excellent!
It was our special 25th Wedding Anniversary and wanted to try a place that had good reviews for its food. It was on Travelzoo which was great as Travelzoo is a great place to discover restaurants.
Now about the service: it was NOT good. I had phoned in advance and explained that it was our special 25th Wedding Anniversary meal and I reserved a table. When we arrived, there were only 2 small tables available at the door, with no 'reservation' sign on any of them and they looked too long across from each other. We asked if we could sit at the last remaining table of four that was away from the door – whereby across the short side of the table we'd be facing each other. We were denied this. We were offered a spot at the bar which we tried for a minute and thought “wow, this is going to be our 25th Wedding Anniversary seating arrangement.. sitting next to each other at a bar”. We decided to go to the small table near the door and sit adjacent to each other (rather than 4 feet across from each other). Wasn't a good start and we thought all would be well. All the service from then on was also very poor. The server wasn't friendly or welcoming and seemed disinterested in us even though we had been very easy customers when ordering a $50 bottle of wine and our meal. We did notice that she was friendlier to an older couple who appeared to maybe be regulars. It's a shame because customers need their first experience to be good in order to come back. There's a lot of choice out there.

Took around 45 mins to get our first course and water, our 'prawn Caesar salad' came with small shrimps and not prawns, beef tenderloin was not a tenderloin. we got there at 8pm and left at 10pm because we were waiting so long for our food. The price of the food was not worth the overall experience. The Deep fried cheesecake was my favourite dish. The waitress was nice and was apologetic for the long wait times because she was the only server that night. But I would not come back to this place.
