Legs Diamond was conceived as a result of over 37 years in the fine dining and catering business. We wanted an intimate and smaller space to work in. And quickly decided we would make it unique. The use of sterling silver and fine bone china and miss matching them on the tables goes with the rich mahogany and purple heart wood and copper used throughout the space. Antique cabinets, dressers and tables and our new custom made purple heart dining tables all add a warm ambiance to the place. There is a certain casualness, even quirkiness with the place while at the same time appearing unpretentious. Service is discreet and relaxed, efficient and friendly.

Really sorry to write this but it was a horrible experience. We ordered the duck which was why we went there in the first place. It was dry and not at all like what it should be. We complained to the hostess who said she would let the chef know. We then had the most bizarre experience with the manager/owner showing up. He would not acknowledge our complaint but offered to play music we liked! Sorry to say but he was HAMMERED! Not what I expect from a supposedly top rated restaurant. There was no acknowledgement of our complaint or any attempt to address it. The hostess and service was fine. The chef not so much. The manager/owner should get a different job/business

We bought vouchers for dinner for four and made a reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was closed. We phoned the owner and he made some excuses but this was the only night we were in Whistler so now we have to try and get our money back for the vouchers. $120. Extremely disappointing.

We like this place but unfortunately they were out of the fish and chips. Had the duck which was very dry, shared this feedback with the server but nothing as done to compensate that and didn't eat half of the dish. I wouldn't recommend getting it as not only was it dry but the blueberry compote didn't work. Rest of food was lovely and wine recommended by server was great.

Firstly, I'd like to say that the food at Legs Diamond was excellent!
It was our special 25th Wedding Anniversary and wanted to try a place that had good reviews for its food. It was on Travelzoo which was great as Travelzoo is a great place to discover restaurants.
Now about the service: it was NOT good. I had phoned in advance and explained that it was our special 25th Wedding Anniversary meal and I reserved a table. When we arrived, there were only 2 small tables available at the door, with no 'reservation' sign on any of them and they looked too long across from each other. We asked if we could sit at the last remaining table of four that was away from the door – whereby across the short side of the table we'd be facing each other. We were denied this. We were offered a spot at the bar which we tried for a minute and thought “wow, this is going to be our 25th Wedding Anniversary seating arrangement.. sitting next to each other at a bar”. We decided to go to the small table near the door and sit adjacent to each other (rather than 4 feet across from each other). Wasn't a good start and we thought all would be well. All the service from then on was also very poor. The server wasn't friendly or welcoming and seemed disinterested in us even though we had been very easy customers when ordering a $50 bottle of wine and our meal. We did notice that she was friendlier to an older couple who appeared to maybe be regulars. It's a shame because customers need their first experience to be good in order to come back. There's a lot of choice out there.

Took around 45 mins to get our first course and water, our 'prawn Caesar salad' came with small shrimps and not prawns, beef tenderloin was not a tenderloin. we got there at 8pm and left at 10pm because we were waiting so long for our food. The price of the food was not worth the overall experience. The Deep fried cheesecake was my favourite dish. The waitress was nice and was apologetic for the long wait times because she was the only server that night. But I would not come back to this place.

They just were not prepared. There was one waitress handling the bar, the inside tables and the outside patio. We waiting 90 minutes for our food and finally got up and left. Never received it.

If you're looking for great duck, lamb and venison dishes, this is the best place to go to! Owner is fantastic and the entire crew are amazing! Great wine selection too! Great value for your $!

The food was superb, the ambiance was ok, and by having an open kitchen you can rely on the way your meal is cook at the moment. However, I made reservation through Open Table, and got the last table near the Hotel Entrance. As we witness a walk in get the window table?

Three of us decided to try out Legs and we’re very happy we did. Lamb shank was amazing and better than our meals at Araxi the night before. Cool local gem.

Staff was nice but scarce so affected service. Food was good but lamb chops were skimpy on meat. Pics on OpenTable were out dated so couldn't order what we thought we would eat. Nice place overall though.

Began with the complimentary chips and spicy hummus, both excellent. Skipped appetizers. For my main, had duck two ways- confit leg and breast. Breast was undercooked and sort of cool. Confit was overdone. They were supposed to be served on a bed of parsnip purée but came on a lentil bed. Just not what was expected. Partner had salmon which was over cooked. Skipped dessert as we always do. Chosen wine, a B.C. Pinot was delicious.
Restaurant was only about 1/4 full yet noisy. Music relatively loud and conversation carries due to hard mirrored surfaces. Server, from a Tennessee via New York was pleasant and helpful.
We stay in Whistler for the winter but will wait till next year to try again.

I really like to support family run and small restaurants, but felt compelled to write this review because I wish we had been forewarned. My college kids said the food was worse than their college dining experience. The staff were friendly and seemed to be trying really hard. But in the end the food disappointed. The meatballs were tough, dry and reheated, possibly several times. The salmon was small, dry and did not taste fresh, and the entire plate seems liked microwave reheated food including pale green shriveled peas. The panko shrimp was ordinary, not much different from shrimp in a chain restaurant. Salad was ok, but didn’t taste fresh, and the goat cheese croquettes were a hollowed fried ball. We did not enjoy our meal. I hope they improve and become successful.
