Legs Diamond was conceived as a result of over 37 years in the fine dining and catering business. We wanted an intimate and smaller space to work in. And quickly decided we would make it unique. The use of sterling silver and fine bone china and miss matching them on the tables goes with the rich mahogany and purple heart wood and copper used throughout the space. Antique cabinets, dressers and tables and our new custom made purple heart dining tables all add a warm ambiance to the place. There is a certain casualness, even quirkiness with the place while at the same time appearing unpretentious. Service is discreet and relaxed, efficient and friendly.

Home made seasonal vegetable soups were both so yummy! Prawn dish awesome. Mains excellent portions and delicious! Desserts (especially the cheesecake) outstanding!
They even had my favourite Chardonnay from Lillooet! Can’t say enough about this fabulous place.

Worst restaurant ever! First off let's open on time at least. Restaurant is supposed to open at 8:30am, my wife and I had reservations for 8:45am. We show up, restaurant is closed until 9am because the so called "chef" couldn't get up according to what one of the staff told us. We see the "chef" come in at 9am and he looks like he has been drinking all night, a total slob wearing jean cut off shorts and it looks like no shower was taken. We order thinking the food can not be that bad, I mean who can mess up sausage and eggs. Well we have a winner, this so called chef did. We ate eve though it was not that good as we had to get on with our day. DO NOT EAT HERE. If this was the last restaurant on earth I would starve to death before I would eat here again. I am actually shocked that open table even allows this place to be on their website!

We were visiting for our honeymoon. Read the online reviews the restaurant had good reviews and possibly live music so we decided to book a nice meal together there. Unfortunately we had arrived during new Covid 19 protocols being introduced to the province and there was no live music. No ones fault as it’s the rules and regulations everyone had to follow.

Arrived at the restaurant very small and lovely space.The staff was pleasant however were not following Covid 19 protocols of wearing any masks. Food was very average, my wife had salmon and I had the lamb. Both meals were around $30 but the food was disappointing. Cocktail I had which was an old fashioned was very good but my wife was disappointed in her cider she ordered. The drinks were about $30 running us close to $100 for the entire meal. Not terrible value if the meals had been a little better done.

Hoping we just caught them on a bad night but not the best first impression left for this restaurant on us.

Decent food, interesting menu. Tables well spaced for Covid-19. Server interactions were well timed and we did not feel rushed. Some choices on the wine list were unfamiliar, so she brought small tasters to help us decide. One concern was when some locals stopped by for a drink, social distancing went right out the window between them & the servers.

The food was mediocre. The ambiance was not helped by the barefooted old guy sitting at the bar grooving to an endless ABBA soundtrack. I assume the music was for the serving staff because it certainly didn't seem like the patrons were enjoying it (except for the barefooted one). The service was good though. No need to come back, especially given the strong offerings in Whistler.

Wife’s birthday, but I’m not too sure the staff saw the note, which is fine.

This resto is in the Upper Village on Blackcomb Mountain. Many restaurants have come and gone in the Upper Village. If you are staying on the Benchlands, or the Chateau Fairmont or the Four Seasons, you must go to this lovely Bistro. It's small and intimate. The night we were there, there was a musician who was excellent and judged the crowd perfectly. A nice touch. On to the food -it was great. My wife had salad and the onion soup. Both were a treat. The onion soup is less traditional (without the mound of Gruyere, or worse, processed cheese) but the flavours were very nice. I had the venison carpaccio and the steak frites. The steak was absolutely perfectly cooked and very flavourful. It wasn't too large, which is often the case. The frites were large-cut fries and not oily at all. The wine list features BC wines and many reasonably priced wines could be found. We had a Foxtrot Pinot Noir...worth a trip for the wine alone. If you are staying in the Upper Village, don't walk by Legs Diamond, make a reservation and prepare for a lovely experience...all around.

This is a very small restaurant but has an oversized ambiance. The menu was interesting, with a good mix of exotic choices and tried-and-true. The steak frites was very good, although the steak was slightly overdone. Fortunately, it was a good cut and survived the experience. The salmon was excellent. Service was good although the server was not the friendliest I've ever come across. Not bad but sort of made us feel like we were "outsiders". I would definitely return.

If you have a friend who can’t cook, but puts in a lot of effort when friends come over, and presents strange, badly cooked dishes, with ingredients and flavours that don’t make much sense on the same plate, then you’ll have experienced something a bit like Legs Diamond.

Unfortunately the service was as confused as the food, with just one guy running the place; a very nice guy but perhaps not the best organised person for the job.

On a positive note, there’s a small but very reasonably priced selection of good local beer and wine. A better bet than the cocktails; I ordered an old fashioned which is pretty classic and difficult to get wrong, but what arrived wasn’t right.

If you are stuck and have to eat here, opt for the Steak Frites. It isn’t Steak Frites, but the meat was reasonably well cooked and the potato wedges won’t kill you.

We were a party of 6 but I couldn’t recommend any of the starters or other mains.

Very nice quiet place at upper village. Food was great and reasonably priced. Probably overlooked by many, but this is a gem. Found it by accident and now we go there on every trip to Whistler.

Everyone was super friendly, loved the atmosphere. The person playing guitar was very talented and played at a level so we could still have a conversation. Food was excellent and service was attentive. Loved it and will be back!
