Brandon was great! It was beautiful inside! Food was delicious!!! Great birthday brunch for my 30th!
Mostly a good experience, but when I complained not once but twice that the food arrived just luke warm, the server should make the effort to maybe attempt to heat it up or get a fresh warmer dish, especially since the restaurant was not even one third filled with customers or for that matter, not too busy
It’s the second time dining at Lenas Oasis.I love the Oasis tent experience for the ambiance and additional safety/outside air exchange with the pandemic. There’s a nice amount of distance between tables as well as privacy barriers. Our server Mike was fantastic and on top of everything from the time we were seated to providing our to go orders at the end. The food was wonderful both times I’ve dined at Lenas - pasta dishes, salad, burger, veggie frittata entree and the crab dip appetizer were some of the items we have ordered. This time we ordered the lemon cake for dessert and it was amazing as pictured. We have also ordered the Nutella dessert pizza in the past and while it was food, my daughter indicated the dough was a bit thicker than her preference. We will certainly be back for more pleasant dining experiences.
Excited our first time here. One guest’s food was very cold— Frittata cold in center, fries cool. My Eggs Were very well done in Eggs Benedict.
Our friend’s replacement meal arrived after we completed ours. I never complained about well done eggs.
The manager was very kind, didn’t charge her, but a very awkward time as it took forever to cook the replacement meal.
Other 2 meals they said were delicious.
It’s a beautiful place, meticulously clean.
Food and service were very good; noise too much; the room off of the bar needs decorating to improve the ambiance.
Everything was Excellent minus a very pesky fly.
The food was amazing, the decor and ambiance was very nice. I love that they change their inside atmosphere during the different seasons. Overall 10/10
Service was great. Michael was excellent even though he was new. It was my first time there and I’ll be back for sure. The food was awesome and the drinks were perfect. Thank you Lena’s!!!!!
Somehow our entrees was very salty , I think the chef or the food prepared just added a little bit more salt than it needed..otherwise the place was great
Crab dip was delicious!! Brussel sprouts exceeded my expectations.
Red sangria was also good.
Manager was very friendly along with the rest of the staff.
I ordered a salad as my main course, but it didn’t arrive until a full 5 minutes after my partners salmon was brought to the table.
Food was subpar, it was very loud, and the service was so slow at times that our food came out cold. Def not worth the prices they are charging.
We eat in the Oasis tent, a good space with plenty of room. Waiter was very good though sometimes we waited longer than we would have liked - caused by having other tables and not unreasonable.
Pizzas were excellent as always and we had a lovely salad also.
We went to Lena’s and ate in the Loft area; it was an ocean theme for the summer. The menu, as always, was expansive! We opted for the pizza…which was delicious! I highly recommend the “experience” option if it’s available for your preferred date and time…definite change of pace.
We have been coming here every few weeks for a few years now, always early on Friday for dinner w the family (not just drinks). It might be a while before we go back. First, they are pushing valet, costing another $10. We saw the valet using spots that used to be free parking… so we can see where this is going. There are also signs all over the neighborhood about not being lenas parking. they are not city signs, so most people ignore them. Second, there was something floating in the first beer I ordered. Not a big deal… it happens, but warrants some response beyond “sorry about that”. After mentioning it to the staff, I was surprised to see that I was charged for that beer and the next one I ordered. A 300% markup on a beer ($3/ bottle at total wine, $9 in the restaurant) in a dirty glass is adding insult to injury. Third, and not a huge deal, the pizzas seem smaller. Everything is more expensive now, but this is pizza dough… flour and water. We were also one of the only tables seated at 530, so I was surprised that our server disappeared and we had to flag down another server for water refills.
We will probably give them one more shot because the food is good, we love the seasonal theme loft, the tent is fun, all of the COVID cleaning precautions, and the staff are always so friendly. Those things are all nice but only when other basics, like not gouging on parking and clean glasses, are executed correctly.
This restaurant is so charming and the pizza is amazing. We sat in the open air oasis; very pleasant and felt very safe. Our waitress was so sweet and efficient. Highly recommend!
Love 1/2 price wine on Wednesdays!
Pizza is always tasty.
First the dining in the Oasis and it was amazing! Will definitely go again.
Can't wait to return. Food, service, ambiance is great.
As always, the food was very, very good; and, good value for money. And the service was exceptional! We've been loyal customers for two to three years now, since our return from Asia. We often bring our two "Grandma Magnets" over for cheese pizza after Mass on Saturday or Sunday mornings; and sometimes others in family.
Took my son for his 13th birthday. He loved the pizza. The rest of my family all enjoyed their food as well. The service was fast and efficient. No complaints at all. The parking can be a little dicey because it’s a small area with a small parking garage, but they make it work.
Pizza is close to perfect. The marination/brine on the wings is unique and tasty without being dry.
Beautiful ambience, mouthwatering authentic Italian cuisine and EXCELLENT, unforgettable service!!
The service was awful. It’s gone down hill considerably. Food was slow, came at different times. Our waitress left dishes on the table, didn’t manicure the table at all. She had no idea how to wait a table so it was not her fault. She shouldn’t have been doing it. The coffee they served me was so bad I could not drink it. Tasted like someone filled the entire filter w grinds. Desserts were mediocre. The Creme Brûlée sucked. They served us melted gelato. And $165 w tip for two adults and two kids eating the same pizza.
The service was amazing and the food was great! I’ve dined at Lena’s before, but this was my first time in the upper level restaurant. It was beautiful!
Fantastic staff and atmosphere, me and my date had an amazing time. Definitely will be coming back!!
First visit: Ate the spaghetti and meatball dinner. Gravy was noticeably acidic, the huge meatball was overly salty. One of the staff cautioned against ordering the eggplant parmigiana as not so good. Suggest owners oversight and consistency to bring to this area an Italian American restaurant for the Alexandria area that far exceeds the others. As an Italian American from a major city, and cooking from scratch authentically, Northern Virginia doesn't get Italian food. I like Lenas, but with some authentic oversight from skilled hands and minds they will not regret the effort.
We had a table for 6 under the tent for my husband’s birthday. The noise level in the tent was a bit high but I appreciate the fact that it was created to accommodate guests during COVID. The service was a little slow but the food was delicious. The pizza has good crust and the homemade pasta is great. Overall a good experience.
The value for what we paid was not the best. My friend had the jumbo lump crab cakes at market price $40. They looked like two prepackaged, frozen crabcakes that we buy in the grocery store. I had the giant meatball which was delicious. The parietal fries could have been better. The frozen rose was yummy. The embrace was great, the restaurant was nearly empty. Views from the loft and the couch/table/chair setup is nice. Wouls try again.
The garlic parm wings were really good and our server was both friendly and attentive. The pizza was just ok and the white sangria didn't have much flavor to it.
Maybe it was an off day, but I did not have a good experience. Went there for a bachelorette lunch, which was going to be a larger party. Once there was placed at a small table, although I called a day before to make sure it'll be under a canopy with a larger table. When mentioning this repeatedly I was told the table was reserved for another party, but during the whole two hours of dining, the table I requested remained completely empty.
Appetizers were okay, the chicken wings were very good. The entrees however were very salty or no salt at all. I was quite strange. Service was inconsistent. We tried to make the best of it, but was very disappointed, especially since we were there to celebrate.
Attend a birthday dinner for a friend’s daughter.
I have been to Lena's well over a dozen times. I am usually always very happy. However, this visit I went with friends and there was a group of 6. We were booked in the oasis and there was no room once we arrived. We agreed to go to the loft so we could sit when our reservation was scheduled rather than wait an unknown amount of time.
The service was very disappointing, the food was slow and cold when it arrived. Furthermore, the loft area was so very noisy with the live music that we could barely carry on a conversation. I was further disappointed as I pushed the group to go there since two other couples had never been. Unfortunately, I don't think they will go back as the restaurant I talked up left them unimpressed.
Great food and service! Very quick service but patiently allowed our group to relax and enjoy the evening.
Lenas is a wonderful spot. We love the Oasis area. It is quiet and the service is always wonderful. We loved our salads! They never disappoint!
My husband and I hosted a triple date with two of our married couple friends and everything was amazing! Our server, Thomas was incredible and all of the food was amazing! Definitely recommend and we will be back!
