There new small plate unlimited brunch is better then the Buffett they used to do!! I loved it
OMG - the Grand Slam was a royal feast at an affordable price and the food was outstanding…the best beef brisket I’ve ever had. Brought out of town guests for a local treat and they were imoresse!
Our family of four went on a Friday night and sat outside. It was very family friendly with our families around. We had great drinks and ordered lots of food. We liked it overall but felt most of it was too salty. We decided we like the variety of brunch better.
Great experience. The nachos were amazing and the happy hour specials were solid
Sauces were very runny. Food was average. Service was good.
Liberty BBQ is always delightful! Good food, love the outdoor atmosphere, good service.
Delicious food, great and friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere; a solid restaurant and fun evening.
Good barbeque pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw. Much more to try at a later date.
Food was great, limited but good wine choices, nice outdoor patio with live music. What more can you ask for.
Nick, our server was great, attentive and friendly. We had endless brunch outside on the patio. The food was great and we had a very pleasant brunch, we’ll be back.
Excellent bbq, super fast and friendly service. Glad we found this place.
The food was delicious. We had Paula as our waiter and she was amazing.
We are elderly and at risk and felt uncomfortable with staff not being masked when we mentioned to staff about masks they replied it’s not mandatory because they’re vaccinated. However being vaccinated does not defend one against carrying the variant and passing it to others
My wife and I did a midwest swing to visit our sons and enjoyed Kansas City BBQ before visiting the N VA area and eating at Liberty. It was just as good if not better than the famed KC BBQ. Better in that its served without sauce and you can add your own at the table while KC BBQ is generally served heavily sauced. The brisket was outstanding as were the grilled Brussels sproutes and collard greens. I loved the pork ribs but not as much as the brisket.
Our server was friendly and polite and the ambience was energetic - in part because of a live band playing music outside.
Went to see the band Hand Painted Swinger. Food and music was awesome.
The BBQ pork and the brisket were both good. I loved the mac and cheese and my husband liked his baked beans. The cauliflower needs work. It’s sauce was sort of nondescript—not sure what chef was going for but neither of us liked it. Tried to eat the pieces without sauce—the plain cauliflower needed salt. We gave up on that. The music was eclectic to say the least and too loud. The service was attentive and friendly.
Nice barbecue and good beer list. Staff was courteous and friendly. All in all, a very good experience.
Excellent food, great service
Our experience at Liberty BBQ was hit or miss. The food came out in fits and spurts, with sides being delivered 10 minutes after entrees. Most of the BBQ was good, however one slice of brisket was pure fat. The chicken sandwich was overcooked and tough. Stick to the pulled pork and chicken.
Great location; easy parking. Great interior space. Food ok; I’ve had better bbq in the area. Awesome potato salad!
The food is consistently good here, but my wife and I are normally disappointed whenever we try fried chicken in restaurants. We both got the fried chicken special and it was fantastic. There was enough food for four people in the two person order, and the leftovers were still great. The server was great, and took special care to make sure our two year old was happy, which obviously goes a long way for us. We will definitely go back.
This was a first visit. I had made the reservation via Open Table and requested a "Standard table outside." When we arrived and checked in at the host stand, the host asks us if we are okay with an inside table. The table was located in the middle of the empty restaurant next to where a manager may have been working with a laptop open. Nope, not what we had reserved. So I mentioned to the host that the reservation had included a request for outside. She asks us to wait a minute while she looks outside for availability. She returns and asks us if a "High top would be alright?" Um. No. My mother who is my dining companion is 85 and frail. Not seeing her hopping up on a stool. I asked for a standard table and we were shown to one. The host then offered a 4-top standard which was fully in the sun. I was beginning to feel like a shrew at this point, because it was again necessary for me to make a request. I asked to have a table in the shade, which was the empty table right across from where she was encouraging us to sit. Liberty would benefit from training their host to read the reservation, anticipate needs of patrons, and train the host to accommodate rather than offer suggestions which aren't appropriate to the patron. Given the current trend to not be a Karen, I was being put in the Karen role and it was very uncomfortable. The host's cluelessness was not beneficial to anyone. Training can take care of this quickly.
As for the food, the brisket was tender and well cooked however the seasoning was on the bland side. That was the issue with everything I ate, it was well cooked but lacked seasoning. Our server was very attentive and professional. The restaurant is very clean and the tables were being cleared quickly and the place was sufficiently staffed for the amount of patrons. Their barbecue sauces were also on the bland side. If one is wanting a less-seasoned barbecue place, this is excellent for that as there are people who like a less-seasoned style of cooking
Never disappoints. Always amazing.
Great barbecue and sides
Good good, horrible service. We enjoyed our food here and wild recommend take out. However, it seems that this establishment doesn’t care about its dine in customers. We were seated outside in the shade and the manager abruptly removed the shade putting us in direct sunlight and heat with a young infant. She did this without asking us ahead of time if we wanted to move or box our meals to go. We found this to be incredibly inconsiderate considering that we had a young child who cannot be in direct sunlight and we would not have chosen to eat outside but for the sun cover. We will not be eating here again.
The Sunday brunch was great. Small plates are perfect for all you can eat. Service was good and so was the food. Highly recommended.
Food was excellent, will definitely return next time I am in Falls Church
Nice, good food, good service.
Good food, good atmosphere. First time visiting
Loved meeting friends here - clean restaurant and excellent food (though one guest had an icky pudding). Tried deviled eggs and was so impressed!
We had a delicious family birthday celebration and appreciated the great food & service. Thank you!
Looking for great BBQ and fried chicken? Come here! Really great food, nice outside seating available.
I would give them five stars except for two disappointing things: 1. Please cut up the greens a bit more. Your should not serve it as whole leaf that must be eaten like spaghetti, and 2. What bbq joint runs out of brisket, on a national holiday, before 6 pm? Otherwise food was excellent, service was really great, I mean your servers rock! And the ambiance was downright festive. I would give the extra star if you had the brisket, that really disappointed me.
The customer service was atrocious at this location of Liberty BBQ. Food took almost an hour to be served after ordering and the location wasn’t even at full capacity! We had 4 different “servers” approach our table asking the same questions about orders whether it was what we wanted for food or to drink even after ordering. Server tried to have us pay without showing us what we were paying for in the first place… that struck me as odd and I asked to see what we were paying for and we were met with resistance on having a copy of what we had on our ticket.
Food was just okay. They were out of brisket which was disappointing. They may have been under staffed as it was Memorial Day but again the food was just okay. When we finally did get service everyone was very nice but it took a good amount of time just to get our order.
A little bummed they were out of brisket, but everything else was phenomenal!
Went on Memorial Day, after discovering Mission BBQ was closed for the holiday. Having been to Liberty Tavern and Lyon Hall we thought this place would be of equal quality.
W R O N G!
Brisket was dry, sides were bland;Mac-n-cheese was a joke! The manager comp’d the meal. Don’t waste your time or money here.
Fantastic barbecue, especially their brisket, and a well-rounded list of delicious side dishes (I'm particularly a big fan of their roasted cauliflower). Staff is always nice and welcoming. One of my favorite places to dine.
We had the Saturday special fried chicken which was delicious - the sides -Mac and cheese, beans, and cucumber salad- weren’t as strong. I was surprised given the quality of Liberty Tavern and Lyon Hall. The service was also spotty but we were there between shifts.
Fortunately for us Liberty BBQ is in walking distance of our house. We were taking friends from Arlington and DC to experience it for first time - had the Triple Platter and Whole Bird Fried Chicken so everyone could taste everything. Agreement was that while BBQ and biscuits were good, the fried chicken was great.
