It was quite busy but the server did a great job. We got our drinks and food very quickly. The smoked salmon eggs benny tasted great, so did the drink I ordered. The view from the top heated patio was great!

Lovely evening celebrating a special occasion. Food was fantastic, try the tomato burrata salad! This is the first OpenTable booking I’ve had where I noted it was a special occasion and the waitress brought us a free dessert. Now that’s what I call attention to detail!

Starter grilled squid was incredible. Main course surf and turf tasted very good but was cold when it reached me. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding served cold and was old and stale. It would be better served warm. Malbec wine by the glass did not taste like a Malbec and I was not shown the bottle. Overall the experience was a bit disappointing.

As always we enjoyed the best view and food in the city as we watch the huge cruise ships leave port on Friday evening, for their weekly sailing to Alaska. Enjoying a quiet time at Lift, beats any cruise ship hand down. Thanks Bob for the hospitality!

View from this restaurant is what really makes the difference. Not that many restaurants directly on the water. Service was ok, but could have been better. There were long gaps between being able to order and the delivery of the food and drinks. Initial salads were brought in minutes after ordering, then a long wait for entrees. We waited about twenty minutes after completing the entree to get our coffee and tea ordered. Food was good, but not spectacular. We have been to this restaurant many times, for some reason things seemed off this time. Perhaps this is a staffing shortage issue? Anyway even with these small issues this is a very nice restaurant, we will continue to go back, the big pull being the view!

Our reservation had a special request for a table and we got our favorite table which is a booth on the second level. I was happy to see the Tempura prawns on the appetizer menu and it remains our favorite. The waiter was patient with us as we ate our appetizers and the turned in our food orders. The Chilean Sea Bass and Salmon entrees were both excellent.

The location on the Vancouver marina sea front opposite Stanley Park is excellent. Inside and outside seating is available. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The menu is quite limited compared to some other local places we visited but provided a reasonable variety. On the night we were there although it was quiet but notwithstanding the food could have been hotter. Our main problem was the fact that once you had added taxes and the minimum 18% tip the price of the meal left us pretty bruised !!! I guess we would still recommend the place to our more affluent friends travelling to Vancouver but otherwise in our experience value for money was weak.

We truly enjoyed our dinner at Lift while visiting Vancouver. The location is beautiful, you are literally dining on the water. From the hostess to the waitstaff - everyone was welcoming and friendly. The food was spectacular. The prawn cocktail was so good! My wife had the steelhead trout and I had the scallop and prawn linguine. Both were amazing - fresh and seasoned just right. Such a great place to relax, watch the seaplanes and yacht traffic cruise by. I must visit restaurant in Vancouver!

Gorgeous views, wonderful atmosphere, incredible entree’s topped off with friendly staff there to make your lunch/evening special. Happy hour offers a variety of tasty choices in food and local brews. Liked so much went back for the evening. Won’t disappoint.
