   Everything about Lime was perfect. The food was magnificent. I had Mahi Mahi. The bartender Mickey was friendly knowledgeable and the drink and wine list was great. Highly recommend

   Incredible hidden gem. Unpretentious, but upscale, with outstanding, delicious and sophisticated food and drinks much better than much of what you will find in Downtown Boston at good prices - definitely value for your money

   We wanted to love Lime. The physical space was warm and welcoming, as was the staff. But after being seated, no one checked on us for another 10 minutes, although we were the only party in the restaurant. Once our initial drink order was placed, we waited well over 15 minutes for our drinks (even longer than that for our 2nd round). We had come for the steak and eggs, but steak was not available. A minor issue with a food order was willingly addressed, but no apology was offered. This restaurant has huge potential, but we were disappointed - hopefully we just visited on an "off" day.

    I chose Lime because it was near my hotel. It’s a new restaurant in a location that used to be a lounge. The wine list offers a good variety of wines. My friend and I tried two different wines and enjoyed both. We shared two appetizers - a mezze platter and a shrimp appetizer. Both were terrific. My friend is from Greece and especially liked the mezze platter. We both had the salmon entree. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. One of the accomplishments was Vietnamese sweet potatoes. Neither of us had had those before but they were delicious. We shared a flan for dessert and enjoyed that, too. The service was attentive, prompt, friendly and fun. I’ve eaten in excellent restaurants around the world and I like to cook and entertain. I thought Lime was great and we were both glad that I’d chosen it. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely be a regular.

    A last-minute booking found Lime on an unusually quiet night. Service was prompt initially but slowed during the evening; we were in no hurry so that was fine. All of our food was prepared to order, on point and very enjoyable. Cocktails were the same. Meeting the chef/owner was a bonus; we wish the restaurant every success. We'll certainly return when next we're in Boston.

    The food is delicious! The service is friendly and accommodating. We very much enjoyed our dinner at Lime! I had the seared salmon and my husband had the rib eye steak; in addition, we shared a mezze appetizer. We left nothing behind except a small piece of steak my husband brought home. We will definitely be back, and we are happy to have this gem in our city!

    Fun night! Chef/owners were lovely. Staff was extremely friendly. Food was good though limited menu. Cocktails were unique. Especially loved the Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini. Thought the lights could have been dimmed a bit for better ambiance. All in all had a wonderful evening and will definitely return!

    Lime is wonderful: dishes are perfectly cooked & seasoned. Chef Petal creates richly flavorful food that still feels light - filling but not heavy. So far we’ve tried the wings, roasted shrimp, Caesar salad, cod, salmon, curry, and seared tofu. They make their own tofu! Sangria was delicious too.

    Lime is a wonderful new addition to the Boston food scene and a true gem of a neighborhood restaurant in Chelsea. The ambience is perfect for a date, a family get together, or just a quick meal at the (well-stocked) bar. The service is attentive and genuine, as we felt well taken care of. The food is the star of the show, of course. The menu is varied and reasonably priced - from comfort food (wings, burger) to elegant and inventive dishes (salmon with Vietnamese sweet potato!). If you’re a vegan or vegetarian, fear not because you have plenty of choices. One thing that we truly appreciated was that we could hold a conversation even though the place was hopping. We really enjoyed our date night here and look forward to returning to try other items on the menu. Highly recommended!

    "To 'Lime' in Trinidad is to spend time, play and eat with family and friends, to appreciate your surroundings and ties and to celebrate life." The quote above is taken from Lime Chelsea, a wonderful addition to the Chelsea waterfront neighborhood dining scene! Petal Joseph, owner and executive chief, has created an upscale delectable international fusion menu rooted in flavors from Trinidad that truly delights and satisfies. For course 1 my partner and I ordered the potato crips and spicy tofu vegetable soup, both of which were excellent. Course two included the Curry Cauliflower and Chana, Uncle Andrew Salad and Basmati Rice as well as the Seared Tofu, Balsamic Onion, Carrots, Radish and Greens. Both were elegantly presented, at perfect temperature and utterly delicious! I still find myself daydreaming about the taste of the Seared Tofu two days latter! We rounded off our dinner with mango sorbet and chocolate mousse, which were the ideal concluding taste notes to what was an overall Chelsea Lime symphony of palate, presentation, ambiance and service! We left filled, but with no leftovers. Portion sizes are reasonable, but not excessive. Their bar is also notable, with a thoughtfully curated wine, cocktail and specialty drink menu. In short, Lime Chelsea is a one-of-a-kind upscale neighborhood restaurant. All dishes are handmade and high quality ingredients, which was evident from our dining experience. While we imagine Lime Chelsea will become a regular destination for local residents, it is also a destination dining experience worthy of a commute or drive. Parking is available on Winnisimmet St as well as Broadway in Chelsea, MA. There are also public lots beneath the Tobin bridge within a 2.5 block walking distance to Lime Chelsea. If you are looking for a new restaurant to try we highly recommend Lime Chelsea--it will surely live up to it's namesake!

    Lime offers an eclectic offering of small, locally owned and often woman run libations which were phenomenal. As a group we sampled a lovely wine, pomegranate lemon drop, cosmo, and beer. Appetizers were great! Clams (though the bread was tasty some hoped it was toasted but that didn’t bring their review down), wings were amazing, and the veggies and fruit with tsatsiki was delish! Next round main course: tofu dish with homemade tofu was a hit, the braised short rib though rich and looked heavy did NOT leaving your feeling anything but satisfied. Others had burgers that were spot on for taste however some felt the bun was slightly too big but again all were completely satisfied and more than happy with their meals. Finished off with French/pressed coffee which tied it all up in a near bow. I would say a slam dunk for a soft opening and can’t wait to return!!!

    Very poor service. We weren’t checked up on for drinks, one app came in very late, the other app forgotten, and we received our meal very cold (after two hours of waiting). We arrogantly were charged for what we had and the apology felt very insincere. The check didn’t match the prices on the menu either but I realized that after leaving so my boyfriend was over-charged by a couple of dollars. They didn’t remedy the situation by offering anything either. They will sadly also close like Winnisimmet Lounge, but not because of the pandemic. We went down to Caio’s to eat good food. We ate at Caio’s and paid the check in less than 45 minutes. I support local business.

The space is perfect for an intimate dining experience or a energy-filled evening with friends. Tasteful decor, attentive staff; I give Lime my highest recommendation.
