best sandwich I have ever had! love LOS DROWNED!
This was my first time at Little Goat. The food was absolutely delicious, with innovative flavor combinations and menu items as well as an extensive selection of comfort foods. I had the chickpea salad with mint, kale, and falafel fritters and it was fantastic. You can sometimes get a table or seat at the counter on a walk-in basis, but I recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment. Great place and we will definitely go again!
Took 20 min to be seated even with a reservation.
Little Goat Diner, like all of the Chef Izard family of restaurants is a comfortable dining experience with innovative, flavorful, and delicious foods. The service is impeccable, and the only reason I only gave it a 4 star rating for service because the host was not on point at all. He was the only negative in our experience. In an empty restaurant with us having a reservation for 8 people, he tried to cram is in a booth for 6. I explained that we were chefs and food people and would be ordering a ton of food, and he said he'd give us a table, but we needed to be done in 90 minutes. Nevermind that we had reservations, over a month out. He didn't exude the highest level of service that is normally indicative of an Izard or Boka restaurant at all. I'm just hoping he had a bad day. Otherwise, he likely shouldn't be in the service industry. Our server was phenomenal, very engaging and knowledgeable about the food, and the food was, as always, creative and delicious. I recommend the Little Goat Diner to anyone wanting to see what a classic diner would be, when elevated by an immensely talented chef and her gifted culinary team.
Terrible. I booked a table on Open Table ahead of time so I could be seated properly. I got there 11:40 and checked in with the hostess. Patiently waited until 12:15 when I saw that two sets of guests who came much later than me were seated ahead of me. I decided to go back to the hostess and ask what happened. She said someone else must have taken my reservation because there were multiple people with my name. They never bothered to check with me, i was literally sitting 2 feet away from there. And I honestly did not hear anyone else named Maria being called... and definitely not for two people. They seated 2 males, and then a group of 4 under the name of Kristen, a group of 6 college kids but none named Maria. So im not sure how she got that mixed up.
As an apology she asked us to pick from the starters menu and said it was on the house. We requested for the chicken fingers, she said okay will let your server know - that order of chicken fingers never came. Didn’t bother following up either.
Not a good experience. Waited 45 min for pancakes that were a bit over priced and waiters who put food on the table without looking. We ordered a side of bacon, some guy put it in front of me, two seconds later I had another guy literally switch it with another order of the same thing without so much as explaining why he did it.
Never coming back to this establishment.
7:30 reservation. Wasn’t seated until 8:00
Great atmosphere, great food. Took my family and we all had a great experience
Such great service! They were very vigilant and accommodating with my food allergies. Our waiter was very friendly and the food is SO tasty. There is not one bad thing on the menu! can’t wait to come back again!!
Fun food very good service would definitely return
Overall had a wonderful time. This was my second time at Little Goat and would definitely go back. The food is comfort food with a twist. Highly recommend!
Food was mediocre, trendy old time cafe.
The food was great but service was sub par. Our server was not very friendly and we waited forever just to get drink refills. She didn’t come to check on us, just tossed a dessert menu on our table as she walked by.
I've always like Little Goat but this is the second time that we have eaten there with a group . We had a reservation and were seated about 15 minutes late. That was ok. However, the service was very slow. My husband requested a drink refill which he never received. We like Little Goat, the food is good but the service has really declined.
Only issue was having to wait 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We had theater tickets and let them know. Didn’t matter. So warning anyone going before another event that table management can be an issue.
wonderful service. family friendly without comprising the elevation of the food level. recommend getting a reservation in advance. must go to restaurant. will certainly be on my revolving list of restaurants to go to.
Loved this diner for Mother's day brunch. I had the Bulls Eye French Toast which was an egg in the hole of two pieces of french toast topped with fried chicken and strawberries. Really fantastic.
Good option for a tradional Sunday's brunch in the West Loop.
Birthday celebration. Courteous waiter, food was prompt & delicious, overall extremely satisfied.
I had a reservation. I arrived early. Was ignored multiple times by host. Was not seated until 20 min after my reservation. The waitress did not come speak to us until 12 min after we were seated. The coffee was not worth the $4 spent (could have gotten a latte at any other establishment for less). The food was great!
I took my mom to the Little Goat for Mother’s Day brunch and it did not disappoint. We arrived ahead of our reservation time and they sat us almost immediately. The wait staff was very kind and willing to recommend items that I generally would not order right off the menu. Everything my mom and I ordered was unique and very fresh. I personally had the This Little Piggy Went to China and it was amazing! This Asian flavored inspired breakfast sandwich is now one of my all-time favorite brunch dishes. I would highly recommend the Little Goat for anyone looking for a unique breakfast or brunch with a vibrant atmosphere.
Amazing food and great service. I can’t wait to go again !
Awesome food! There were 7 of us. Great service. Great location, highly recommend.
Burguer patty was dry and just not good, poor burguer experience. Maybe they’re better at breakfast. On top of that, the restaurant is super noisy and we just wanted to get done quickly and get out!
Great food and service, too loud.
Loved the place! Amazing restaurant, not much else to say!
We had an awesome afternoon breakfast at the Litlle Goat Diner! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I really loved it there.
Did not disappoint! Our whole party was pleased with their meals (pancakes, patty melt burger etc). The smoked fries...wow.
Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service with a fun upscale modern diner vibe and contemporary versions of your favorite diner meals. The desserts are incredible.
Several things we asked for from the menu were not available. Received our food before our drinks. Well, all but one of us. Her meal came long after everyone else. Maybe I would give it another try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
Had a great brunch at Little Goat during a visit to Chicago. Would love to go back!!
I love the little goat! I order the Pork Belly Pancake every time and their cocktails are very tasty! I like the grapefruit mimosas. Highly recommend if you're a foodie like me!
The food was amazing and we will be back. Really enjoyed the various innovative selections....
Little Goat is a fun and vibrant little place. The food is excellent and the menu is full of little surprises that add flair to the typical upscale American food you see everywhere today. Their Bloody Mary is also absolutely fantastic!
Not sure what the hype is. Food was okay, nothing special. Service was pretty bad. Food is way overpriced for what you get.
Porkbelly pancake was so, so good. Still thinking of the broccoli with hot peppers side dish someone at my table very smartly ordered. Twisted pretzel sundae was the clear dessert favorite
We had a great dinner at Little Goat. The service was great and food was even better. Our only disappointment was that Stephanie wasn't there ;)
Everything was great. The food, ambiance, and service all did a great job and I had a pleasant experience in general. The cuisine style is fusion and creative. It combines many western and eastern elements in each dish. It was my 20-year old birthday dinner. The floats were said to be disappointing but the foods were satisfactory in general. I ordered a bowl of shrimp and pork belly, which contained interesting ingredients and seasonings except that the pork belly was a little bit oily.
Something weird is that when I called the restaurant in the morning on the day of reservation (312-888-3455) to ask about its bakery prices, the operator told me that since I made a birthday reservation, cake slices would be served for free, but our waitress did not seem to be informed of the policy at all when we arrived. With the phone call beforehand, we did not expect to bring a cake to the restaurant and ended up not having a cake, because the only daily flavor turned out to be mint chocolate and a friend could not eat mint. The restaurant did not offer any explanation.
Excellent flavor. Got the Spanish omlette and the goat chili. Delicious!
