   We were disappointed on the food. Definitely over rated…. Gambas al Ajillo: Garlic should never be puréed for this dish as it burns easily and becomes bitter. Torta De Santiago: Bready, not light and fluffy as the real thing. Then towards the end the waiter didn’t even let us put in the stars but click on 5 stars immediately. All in all, not up to par.

   My party was running a little late and we tried calling several times but no one picked up. At all. We were really excited to try this place out but the staff seemed to be very busy and not very helpful with accommodating :( However, Oda Mediterranean Restaurant next door was excellent!!    Awesome place in Andersonville. First, restaurant is small but cozy, servers are very attentive, we had chicken croquetas and patatas tapas as entrée in the meantime that our paella was ready, said that, the mariscos paella was delicious! We ended our dinner with an orange liquor. Definitely we’ll go back soon!

   Close your eyes and imagine that you've just stepped off Gran Via in Madrid and wandered into a small tapas cafe, with all the requisite smells, sounds and sights. Or, take a short trip to Little Madrid Tapas Cafe in Andersonville and immerse yourself in an authentic Spanish experience. It's truly a wonderful gem in Chicago!

    We love having this little cafe in Andersonville. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The ambience was pretty great considering it’s a fairly unassuming storefront on Clark St. Somehow it really felt like we were in Spain. We had five different tapas, two were great and the other three were just okay. We’ll definitely go back and explore other items on the menu and hopefully have a better hit rate.

    A group of 6 friends went there. It is a very authentic small place. Servers are very nice. We will definitely be back. At some point in the night they came with “La Bota” which is Spanish wine pour in your mouth from a soft container. It was unique experience and it was very funny. Food is good and the prices are very reasonable. Place is small and can get very noisy. I will be definitely go back.

    The food here is fantastic. We did all tapas- the calamari, goat cheese and tomato, grilled shrimp, melon and ham, and bacon wrapped dates. More than enough for 3 people. Definitely a hole in the wall feel.

    Baked goat cheese had very little goat cheese. Chicken croquettes had very little chicken. Seafood paella was good and the Sangria was fantastic.

    The food was just ok, though the paella was too salty to eat. The prices are very high for what you get, and the restaurant was comically dark inside. You couldn’t see your food on the table.

    This was our first visit - what a gem! The restaurant had low lighting. I was wondering how I was going to read the menu at first, but the menus came on a cool backlit panel - so I didn’t need my flashlight app. We ordered the dates, meatballs, shrimp and the baked goat cheese - everything tasted so delicious! The meatballs practically melted in my mouth. We had the creme brûlée for dessert. They are BYOB, but also have a small selection of wines. Lastly, they bring a credit card / tap to pay device to the table which made me feel good since at most restaurants, the server leaves with your credit card. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. We’ll definitely be back!
