Intimate setting including live music! Love this place and hope nothing changes when they move locations❤️
The atmosphere alone makes this gem worth visiting, as it feels like you've found a romantic hideaway in a European town, and the great food will make you want to go back to try more of the menu.
25th anniversary celebration, 14 people. Trish and everyone made it an awesome experience around. Emilio guitar player was also fantastic. highly recommend and will return to this great place
Amazing! - Expect to interact with other guests and staff as it is an intimate dining experience and a great time.
Great little gem in Newmarket. Paella was very good but a lot of green beans. I will definitely come back though. Thanks!
The prices I'll mention here include 10% tip & 13% tax.
Nice Cozy restaurant in a house. Can accommodate up to 20 people(our party was of 9 - my wife's B.D.). Very friendly service.
- the worst thing that hit me was that the Paella(chicken & veggies) was SOGGY = Arborio Italian rice, BUT Spanish rice is supposed to be DRY!
- The white Sangria for my wife w/ a bit of ginger ale & fruits = 750 ml @ $37??? I bet it just used the house wine!
- The 5x meat balls swam in Mozzarella cheese! &, that came to $17.50...!
- 4x Asparagus spears wrapped in Serrano = $11! - very salty, but that's the nature of the Serrano.
- A Tapas of diced potatoes, baked & broiled covered w/ some Mayo = $13.50
Aside from the Paella, the rest was OK, but nothing special = we can do this @ home, @ much cheaper prices!
I understand that the restaurant has to make money, but? Our bill for 3(including our son) came to $174!
The only way we'll come back is on a Paella day when it's 1/2 price, to see if the Paella has the proper rice!
Nice ambiance. Food was tasty but expensive.
Food was delicious, atmosphere was warm and cozy, service was excellent. Highly recommend!
fantastic food and service! definitely worth the drive!
Great food, service, music, experience. Nothing else to say. Thank you!
Cute place. The entertainment was nice. The place is quaint but the food is below par.
We asked the waitress to bring us some tapas and nothing she brought was super. A bit bland I would say.
The payella(?) was disappointing! No saffron, rice was sticky and no flavour. There was no sausage, only unshelled mussels with boiled calamari rings. The food is Not authentic at all!
Too bad because the ambiance is quaint.
The food was outstanding! We had several different tapas and paella (chicken and vegetable) - delicious. This is a dining experience that requires repeat visits!
Great service and food. Very good experience. Will go back.
We were a table of 4, first time visitors to this small but charming venue. We all agreed that food, value music and staff were excellent and we would return! We had a great time! The tapas was excellent as was the paella.
Lovely hidden gem in Newmarket. Authentic Spanish cuisine, as per all my friends who have been to Spain!
We were celebrating a family member bday. The soft music in the background was just perfect.
The food was delicious and flavours went very well together. The ginger-cider sangria was well perfect. We had tapas as well as paellas and everyone at the table was happy with flavours of food and experience at this little taste of Spain restaurant.
Fabulous experience thank you💜
We live 2 blocks from the place. Great atmosphere . It is our 3rd time and will become a regular on an ongoing basis.
Great ambiance and not your average kind of restaurant if you are looking for a different experience. The live Spanish guitar also add to the whole effect. However the noise level is high depending on the type of guests. The booking times are a bit confusing as if you are expected to be in and out in an hour or the next group will cramp the place or you will have to wait 45 mins for a table and time that was reserved (2 weeks in advance). There could be better adjustment of the reservation schedule and specifics so the guests will know what to expect.
Great environment and friendly service with prompt food but somewhat expensive for what you get.
Food was pricey.
Small portions even for tapas.
Very litte flavor.
Was recommended the spinach and chick peas was served canned chickpeas on bed of wilted spinach with a lemon wedge.NO FLAVOR
Sangria over priced little flavor
Nice decor tho.
First visit and it won't be our last. Loved the cozy feel, only seats 20 people. The owner/waitress Trish was very welcoming. We were there on a Thursday night which was Tapas 3 for $30 and half price sangria's. The food was really good. White Sangria was also very good but think $30 for a small pitcher is way too much. Was pleased we only spent $15/pitcher. Looking forward to returning.
This was so enjoyable and we're looking forward to returning very soon!
As always, a wonderful experience. Authentic and delicious food and drinks, lovely ambience, and great service. A little taste of Spain in Newmarket.
Wonderful experience! Service and food were exceptional, and live music was a real treat!
Fabulous as always! Trish has a gem in this restaurant and is the hostess with the mostest! Attended a wine and food pairing evening with friends. They were very impressed with the food, wine, service and ambiance and will definitely be making a return visit as will I of course.
We heard about this restaurant on a local TV channel. It was as good as the review suggested. The wait staff was knowledgeable and courteous. We are a fan of the Main Street restaurants but this is a good one. Try Lobo Iberico out for yourselves.
Great service and fantastic Spanish cuisine. The quality of the Tapas and main course is great quality and very consistent as we have had dinner several time at Lobo Iberico.
We really enjoyed our dinner. The olives, chickpea and spinach appetizer and seafood paella were delicious. Trish took good care of us!
Service was fast and friendly. There was live Spanish music which was a very nice touch. It’s a cosy little place. Definitely a neighbourhood gem. We ordered a few tapas and all were very good. The red wine Sangria was delectable. All in all a great dining experience. I would highly recommend it
If you live near Newmarket this is a great place to try, especially if you havent tried Spanish or Tapas style food. Had some very interesting and delicious dishes on the menu, like bacon wrapped dates. The only down side would be value for your money. Small serving sizes for the prices on their menu.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The live music was great! We’ll be back!
Food was incredible. Simple ingredients and everything was perfectly balanced and complimentary. Service was outstanding. Attentive with a friendly demeanour. Brought extra napkins, changed our mussel shells bowl, brought water without us asking. It's the little things right?! And the atmosphere was cozy, warm and the Spanish guitar was amazing!! Really loved it here and we will be back soon! Well done!!
Our second time dinning at Lobo . Great food and atmosphere
Its a restaurant i have wanted to try for ages but never had any luck getting a table. So ring in advance for a reservation.
Friendly staff, knows the menu and can advise.
Very tasty tapas small plates but you can always ask for more! The paella was lovely. Will definately be going back.
This is a unique restaurant in this neighbourhood. Its small with only about 5 tables so reservations recommended but the food was good and authentic and they had daily specials that can make the dining very affordable and the menu is especially good for sharing.
Great paella meatballs and flaming shrimp a spectacular churros. Great guitar player Friday and sat nights
We were there for a family graduation dinner. The owner Trish was very accommodating and flexible with menu. She arranged a set tapas menu ahead of time so we could just celebrate. The food was delicious! The entertainment was a solo guitarist who was very talented and friendly. Nice wine selection! Ambiance was perfect! A very lovely evening!!
A group of 6 went for dinner on Saturday night. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The chairs were comfortable and the Spanish guitarist was lovely.
We ordered 8 different tapas and a medium mixed seafood and chicken/vegetable paella. All delicious but have to say none of us were that full!
Think it’s a better place for couples vs. Larger groups.
Cute little place that’s quiet. Food was great!
I had tried the restaurant before with friends and enjoyed it. This time I took my 85 year old mother and she had a wonderful relaxed meal. She wants to bring her friends the next time.
Thanks for a wonderful meal
