As always, a wonderful experience. Authentic and delicious food and drinks, lovely ambience, and great service. A little taste of Spain in Newmarket.
Wonderful experience! Service and food were exceptional, and live music was a real treat!
Fabulous as always! Trish has a gem in this restaurant and is the hostess with the mostest! Attended a wine and food pairing evening with friends. They were very impressed with the food, wine, service and ambiance and will definitely be making a return visit as will I of course.
We heard about this restaurant on a local TV channel. It was as good as the review suggested. The wait staff was knowledgeable and courteous. We are a fan of the Main Street restaurants but this is a good one. Try Lobo Iberico out for yourselves.
Great service and fantastic Spanish cuisine. The quality of the Tapas and main course is great quality and very consistent as we have had dinner several time at Lobo Iberico.
We really enjoyed our dinner. The olives, chickpea and spinach appetizer and seafood paella were delicious. Trish took good care of us!
Service was fast and friendly. There was live Spanish music which was a very nice touch. It’s a cosy little place. Definitely a neighbourhood gem. We ordered a few tapas and all were very good. The red wine Sangria was delectable. All in all a great dining experience. I would highly recommend it
If you live near Newmarket this is a great place to try, especially if you havent tried Spanish or Tapas style food. Had some very interesting and delicious dishes on the menu, like bacon wrapped dates. The only down side would be value for your money. Small serving sizes for the prices on their menu.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The live music was great! We’ll be back!
Food was incredible. Simple ingredients and everything was perfectly balanced and complimentary. Service was outstanding. Attentive with a friendly demeanour. Brought extra napkins, changed our mussel shells bowl, brought water without us asking. It's the little things right?! And the atmosphere was cozy, warm and the Spanish guitar was amazing!! Really loved it here and we will be back soon! Well done!!
Our second time dinning at Lobo . Great food and atmosphere
Its a restaurant i have wanted to try for ages but never had any luck getting a table. So ring in advance for a reservation.
Friendly staff, knows the menu and can advise.
Very tasty tapas small plates but you can always ask for more! The paella was lovely. Will definately be going back.
This is a unique restaurant in this neighbourhood. Its small with only about 5 tables so reservations recommended but the food was good and authentic and they had daily specials that can make the dining very affordable and the menu is especially good for sharing.
Great paella meatballs and flaming shrimp a spectacular churros. Great guitar player Friday and sat nights
We were there for a family graduation dinner. The owner Trish was very accommodating and flexible with menu. She arranged a set tapas menu ahead of time so we could just celebrate. The food was delicious! The entertainment was a solo guitarist who was very talented and friendly. Nice wine selection! Ambiance was perfect! A very lovely evening!!
A group of 6 went for dinner on Saturday night. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The chairs were comfortable and the Spanish guitarist was lovely.
We ordered 8 different tapas and a medium mixed seafood and chicken/vegetable paella. All delicious but have to say none of us were that full!
Think it’s a better place for couples vs. Larger groups.
Cute little place that’s quiet. Food was great!
I had tried the restaurant before with friends and enjoyed it. This time I took my 85 year old mother and she had a wonderful relaxed meal. She wants to bring her friends the next time.
Thanks for a wonderful meal
Great food, beverage and entertainment. We were there celebrating our anniversary and had a great time!
Love the atmosphere of a smaller restaurant. Looking forward to going back.
Food is always fresh and delicious...never disappoints
Amazing as always. Delicous tapas and paella. Love it.
We visited Lobo Iberico last weekend for the first time. I wish I knew about this restaurant sooner. Wonderful ambiance, delicious food, excellent staff and cozy tables. Seafood paella was perfect, all 3 tapas dishes were fantastic (especially spicy chorizo and shrimp skewers). Birthday bonus: hot churros with chocolate dip! Emilio played the Spanish guitar and sang beautifully.
It was a special night. I highly recommend it.
Best kept secret. This is a gem of a restaurant. Awesome Spanish Tapas and fantastic dinner. Great first time experience. The best Service. Looking forward to return soon.
Beautiful place. All the tapas we tried were good and freshly made but a little pricey for the amount that you get.
Went for wife's Birthday, looking to recreate some memories from our time in Barcelona. We were pleasantly surprised with the food, wine and live Spanish guitar. Really took us back there, small family run restaurant with authentic Paella and Tapas menu.
The tapas meal provides a nice variety of tasty, healthy food. The restaurant is cozy with a nice Spanish feel.
Cozy atmosphere and a welcome change from the big box chain restaurants. Owner was fantastic and food was pretty good.
Another amazing dining experience! Delicious food. This place is always warm, welcoming, and wonderful.
Last night we tried Lobo Iberico for the first time. We’ve been wanting to get there for a very long time. What a treasure this cozy , intimate place is ! It reminded us of our time in Spain. Our server was attentive and engaging. The sangria was cold, fruity and delicious. We started off with a couple of tapas while the bread and olive oil were complimentary!
We decided on the small mixed paella, which you can see from the picture isn’t small. Perfectly cooked rice with just the right amount of soccarat ......... chicken , veggies and seafood! There was no room for dessert , but the coffee was the perfect ending. It was very nice to meet Trish the owner who made us feel very at home. The decor , comfortable chairs with cushions and the guitarist made the most lovely ambiance. Thank you !
Great meal and service. We enjoyed every dish we ordered and the service was impeccable
Professional guitar player and soloist!
It’s a real gem in Newmarket
Great night out for something different and intimate with friends or a special someone! We had a great time, waiter Carlo very professional with a great since of humour!! Food was ok. A big disappointment with the paella as the seafood had no flavour and tasted like it was steamed an put on top but should have been cooked through with the rice which was undercooked and a bit crunchy!!! Shrimp looked like the ones from a shrimp ring and would of been nice if they were fresh. We were starving so everyone ate it all and we thanked tge person that cooked not letting her know how we really felt as we did not want to make her feel bad. Tapas were ok, fresh to order, calarmari was good, figs wrapped in bacon over cooked and mushy, asparagus with bacon was tasty, cold sausage with an olive was disappointing, artichokes were pickled with bacon out of a jar would of been nice to get fresh artichokes. Not sure we would come back!!!! Probably not. We found out after the Cook who usually made the meals was not working for some reason and we had someone else who usually doesn't cook our meal cook for us. So it's a bit unfair to rate this restaurant when the chef was not in but it was the experience we had that night. My friends who have been hear before stated the food was completely off and the paella was not cooked as she had it the last time. All in all we were out to have a good girls night out and it was great company!! Thanks Carlo for the delisous Sangria, I preferred the white!!!
This was our second visit and for sure we will go back for more dinner. The good food, attentive services and Emilio's Spanish singing made the night extra special for us. It's the hidden gem in New Market.
As newcomers from Europe for only 4 months, we really felt like back on the Old Continent at Lobo Iberico: no overwhelming TV screens, a discrete but caring service, nice antique furniture, real Spanish food,.... A hidden jewel that is worth to discover in Newmarket!
Wonderful as usual we had our anniversary and a valentines duo. We had a wonderful romantic time. We will be returning!
Lovely small restaurant with unique atmosphere including live Spanish guitarist. Food very good. Lots of atmosphere.
Paella was so good! Trish the owner was super nice, makes great food and gave us complimentary churros for my niece which were super delicious. Definitely will be going back!!
