Local on North - Duluth
Fantastic food, delicious drinks and our server (Haley) was wonderful! I do not live locally, but whenever I visit Atlanta again, I will definitely come back to Local on North.
Always great. Excellent food and great service! Eaten all over the world and its amazing what an incredible job they do and yet keep their prices so very reasonable. I’ve paid far more for far less. No way you can go wrong with LON.
We tried this for the first time. Gets great reviews and the menu was great. We reserved indoor seating and were directly to a high top bar table with six other people already seated. Because we didn’t want to share a table with large party, we opted instead for an outdoor table set up outside the patio area, on the sidewalk, next to the entrance. People waiting to be seated were literally bumping into my husbands chair and milling all around us. No social distancing here. Appetizer came out BEFORE our martinis and was cold. We decided to leave and went somewhere else for dinner.
Really good food. Been here a few times. Great drinks too. Unique dishes. Fresh meats and fish. Hard to not clean your plate.
It was good experience. The server was attentive and good
We live in Sandy Springs but still bring our furry kids to Duluth Animal Hospital - so whenever we come up we try to patronize one of the restaurants on the square...Well Local on North has messed up that plan because our experiences there have been so great we just keep coming back!
Will definitely return again! So many good things to say...the food was fresh and tasty. Staff were professional, attentive, and friendly. Good social distancing. Love that food and drinks sourced from local providers.
Great food and great service. They did a super job with social distancing
Good food and service was ok
Delicious and good service. Did not expect the food was so good but over my expectations in taste and service.
Our first time dining at Local on North. Food and service with Jacob were excellent. We will definitely go back.
Just moved to the city of Duluth GA and found Local on North. This restaurant was amazing and is definitely going to become a favorite local restaurant. The food is excellent, and Jake our server was fantastic. We will definitely be dining at Local on North often.
Excellent food! Great service- we love dining here!
Great food, great people. You can go to more expensive restaurants, with ambience and "reputation", we do often in Atlanta and other cities, but the food and service is here is on a par with most of those restaurants. Can't say enough good things about it.
My food was great, just Not enough options as I had my 3 year old son with me.
Great food, great staff, made us feel welcome in this new age of dining
Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was good as well!
The fish tacos were excellent. Nice atmosphere. Great location for walking around afterwards. Definitely recommend.
Excellent service and delicious meal! Chocolate Fried Cake was heavenly!
Great place to go in downtown Duluth for a nice dinner
Good food and ambiance but control of flies buzzed no around was notable negative.
We had gone to meet up with friends. Our food was excellent. Our waiter was awesome had a great personality and gave us time to enjoy our company.
Food was tasty but the flies ! You cant have all the garage doors open and not have the air curtains running. Also the goat cheese starter needs bread.
Local on North is awesome. The food, staff and atmosphere is excellent They are open and friendly, go visit soon.
Staff was friendly and received prompt attention. Food and drinks were amazing! Staff did not rush us after closing. I wish the open table hours and google hours were updated, as we would not have arrived near closing time.
Great experience, so glad to be back. Staff were great, so good to see them again
Just want to say a huge THANK YOU to Local on North for having the guts to open in the midst of all this.
The restaurant was awesome, the food was delicious (especially the Fried Goat Cheese Croquette) and the service was top-notch! I will definitely be back.
I have reviewed this restaurant several times but thought I would post a review after the reopening since the shelter in place ended.
The restaurant has removed many tables to make sure social distancing is maintained. The servers and kitchen staff are wearing masks and gloves. Both times we have been, the garage door was open to allow more air flow. The food is just as amazing as it has always been. Service is a little slower but totally understandable. There has only been one server there both times we went. I am sure this is because they don’t know how many people will come in to dine right now. Please be patient and tip well! Request to the owner...put the pork tenderloin, with blue cheese mashed potatoes and crispy brussel sprouts on the menu permanently! Absolutely delicious!
Went there for Mother's Day and everything was excellent.
Got take out due to COVIF-19. Food was good, staff very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to eating in the restaurant in the future.
Very attentive and food was great!
First time there. Pork chop was good and the Blue Cheese burger was fantastic.
Great service for a busy Saturday night; great recommendations on the cocktails before dinner as I wanted to try something different. LOVED the sweet ? with pears and walnuts I believe? salad; my French Onion Soup loving Partner was skeptical about the specilaized preperation but he loved it as something different. We shared the Fugeddaboutit (sp?) pizza. It was good. We happen to have one particular restaurant where we think no one can beat their pizza so we are rather picky on this front. DEF will go back to try other entrees!
Birthday dinner with friends and pre- concert at red clay. Great food!
Love the location. The food was expensive, the pizza only fair. The service was great.
Great service, food was exceptional, soup was fantastic
Food was great, but was quite loud
Cozy restaurant with great food and great service
We had a 9:30 reservation. We stood at the door for 10 minutes and no one even acknowlege it us. So we walked out and spent our money somewhere else.
This was our first Valentine’s Day as man and wife and wanted to try something new. The online menu looked pretty good and I was very hopeful and in the mood for a nice charcuterie board and the muscles sounded yummy. When getting there and after being seated we found out they had a fixed menu for Valentines. Once I got over the fact that I had my mind set on something, we made our choices. The one thing that I wanted the most was oysters and they were already out of them and it was before 8 o’clock. Next, the steak sounded good, but they only had New York strip rather than the ribeye that was on their menu. I don’t like New York strip. So, we ordered and I was ensured their mahi mahi would not be overcooked. It was. So, we get through our meal and onto dessert which was the only one they offered that night. The flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. And guess what? They were out of ice cream. I laughed and told my husband, the flourless chocolate cake was because they were out of flour. I would’ve expected they at least comp one of our drinks or even the coffee, but they did not. The only saving grace was the onion soup and Jake, the waiter, who was fantastic. Not so memorable of a dinner that was over 200.00.
