Didn’t appreciate the original seating arrangement. The first seating arrangement I felt very cramped and asked for a different table. Was told they didn’t have anything else even though I was looking at empty tables and no line at the door. Then I went to them again about the table because we were sat right under the A/C and it’s blowing directly on us and we are both are freezing. I asked again for another table possibility on the outside because it was very cold where they sat us and was told they wouldn’t have anything open until 9pm (our reservation was at 730pm). Finally my guest went up to ask for another table and then request for a bigger table that was not under the a/c was granted for us. It shouldn’t have took all of that to get a different table when there were three empty tables across from us from the beginning. I almost left just because of this issue, I didn’t want to sit there and be uncomfortable freezing trying to eat. Just by this situation alone I don’t think I will be coming back here.

My wife and I were celebrating good news and wanted to go out for a special occasion. We did not feel like Loch Bar was the place after eating there. Our waitress while sweet was not very informative on any of the dishes or wine we ordered. Literally describe the Grand Charcuterie board as “like the petite just more.” With no description of what it came with. The cheddar were hard old corners, and we don’t like blue cheese so would have liked to have know that it came on there as the menu also didn’t describe it. When I asked about the Caviar our description was “Well I don’t like it but most people go with the top one.” The menu also leaves little description. We had to google what would pair best with it. When you have to rely on google in a restaurant for Rex’s, something is wrong. Ultimately the Chowdhury and caviar or subpar. Quality has seemed to go down since Loch Bar first opened. Probably won’t be going back.

Well….not sure we are going to return here. We have been here a half dozen times and usually we have good service and food. At this point, I think they are relying on their proximity to the Galleria to supply them with new unsuspecting customers. We ordered the shrimp cocktail..I thought it was $7 but it was really $7 each! Just out of curiosity we ordered a half dozen. What arrived was the most mediocre $42 plate I’ve eaten. The shrimp were average and the sauces were poor. I asked for some lemon slices that our server never did bring. I mean never. The rest of the meal was average too. Our server never came by and a second drink order took over 15 minutes so we were done with our meal by the time it arrived. The restaurant had a decent run but unless management gets this place solved, soon it will be out of business.

Where can I start with this place…Loch bar was hands down amazing…..from the food to service!!!! We loved everything! Everything was top notch from the valet, hostess and the AWESOME service by ALISSA our waitress. Our food was fantastic and cooked to perfection and came out fresh! Blackened red fish / Maine Lobster roll I would HIGHLY recommend Loch Bar to others and I would HIGHLY Highly recommend asking for Alissa.

We started with the fried and grilled oysters . Both were delicious. I half the Spicy Nashville chicken (half portion=huge ) with mashed potatoes. Great flavor and fried perfectly. My wife had the fried lobster . Dish was good but the lobster was very small. Probably about a $6 lobster in H‑E‑B. The Brussel sprouts were Cooked perfectly and tasted great. Drinks were strong and did the trick. Would definitely return .

We had reservations for our birthday. We were seated immediately. We waited 15 mins watching the server come to tables near us but never acknowledge us to even say be with you soon or anything. I went to the host and inquired. The manager came over and got our drink order. A short time later the server came by and introduced herself. We ordered oysters and she asked if we wanted crackers with them which she never brought. We ordered a salad and then ordered main entrees. The salad never came. My fish was very good. My husbands scallops appeared undercooked to me but he enjoyed it. Until an hour later when he became violently ill. The service was horrible overall.

A good, but not great experience. They offer a number of options we haven't seen elsewhere in the area and what we ate was quite good —e.g., the shrimp cocktail, lobster cocktail, and lobster sandwich. Unfortunately, they were out of a couple of things we tried to order. The cream of crab soup was tasty, but a bit over-peppered for our taste, as were the hushpuppies. Zoe provided particularly pleasant and enthusiastic service — thank you! — though service was slow, presumably reflecting a restaurant surprisingly full and active late on a Sunday night. The restaurant is noisy, reflecting its "bar" designation, but still manageable. The live music was enjoyable. The bill was significant — even avoiding several very expensive items on the menu, this is not a "cheap thrills" experience. We enjoyed our visit and will likely return from time to time, appreciating the availability of late-night quality food and good service, but it's not a place we expect to go regularly.

We’ve been here many times and it seems to start losing some of the consistency that they had. The fish and chips are not crispy, the red fish 🐟 is adorned with little bait shrimp ( ridiculous for a $45 dish)! Like, dang put some real shrimp to accompany this dish. The bar made a French 75 ($21) and it had so much lemon and no balance! Horrible. The Brussels sprouts and oysters were the best thing I ate. Subpar food experience

The food was really the best I ever had there. Everything tasted better that expected considering it was New Years Eve. Our server, Gabriel was very attentive and knowledgeable about both drinks and dishes. Actually, I think his suggestions were what made it outstanding for all of us. The band wasn’t my favorite but appreciated that they had live music. It’s a great date place or perfect with friends as well. Cheers and Happy New Year!
