Amazing service from Madisen who was happy to help us choose the best dinner and sake recommendations. Delicious and good quality ingredients. Tried a lot of cool dishes and loved each one. (We would have had more but my lonely mouth was bigger than my tiny stomach)

We have eaten at Lonely Mouth several times for lunch which is always an excellent experience. This was the first time for dinner and service was decidedly slower due to much higher guest to staff ratios. The food and sake were terrific nevertheless.

This was an amazing experience! My first time to the Bar and it was truly a great experience for me and my beautiful date. It made our night. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. The decor feels like your are away on an exotic holiday!

Our server, Rebecca, was really great. Definitely made time to joke with us between dishes and created a great dinning experience. Food took quite a bit of time to come out once ordered, but it was delicious. You’re definitely going to pay for the ambience of the restaurant and quality of ingredients vs quantity, so be prepared for a pricey bill.

The food is essentially sub-par Japanese food. Nothing special about the presentation or the preparation, and we couldn’t finish two of our dishes because the food just didn’t taste good. On top of that, my friend ordered a glass of wine and it still hadn’t arrived when we were on our last course. The server kept telling us it was getting chilled but hadn’t warned us about the wait or given another recommendation as an alternate. I eventually just asked that they bring it regardless because we were almost done eating. They told us they’d comp desert and check back but never did, nor did they take the wine off the bill. I was annoyed that the server thought it was ok for someone to wait the entire meal for one glass of wine. I won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

Tonkatsu sando is the best! We dined during happy hour and got a few of the shrimp, crab, and tuna hand rolls and they were amazing! The udon is a little bit salty but it’s also good. Squid and shrimp tempura were so soft that it almost melted in your mouth. All of the hand rolls and tempura tasted fresh. We’ll be back for sure!

-Staff wasn’t forward about out of stock items before we ordered leading to frustration while ordering. -Meal dragged on for about 2hrs, poor sequencing for delivery of dishes to members of my party. By the end no one wanted to bother with dessert. Some of us even got a bite elsewhere rather than risk ordering another roll. -Food is just honestly too expensive, I can get better value at other local restaurants in the same category near lonely mouth. -Service sucked, hard to get refills on drinks, continuous attempts to serve us other people’s dishes. As the evening dragged on we wondered if our food was given to someone else. I am not interested in returning.

I've been to Lonely Mouth on a few other occasions. It's one of my favorite spots in Calgary. I highly recommend the udon bowl. The noodles are made fresh and it's delicious! Check out their creative cocktail menu. Also amazing!

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Calgary, and certainly for Japanese food. We come here regularly for weekend lunch when it’s serene. The food quality, especially in the sashimi and hand rolls, is superb. The wait staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable, especially regarding food and sake pairings. The sake list is very extensive with delightful finds. Ambience and decor are Tokyo cool.

The food was good. The drinks were better. :P They have an amazing cocktail list with slushie drinks. :) It was a nice night out and the restaurant was amazing about working with us for last minute additions when they were supposed to be sold out.

Server was not great. Hardly came to the table and had an attitude the whole time. Restaurant itself was great but the service made us want to leave.
