Didn’t realize this restaurant is like a sports bar with people yelling while watching a TV in the bar. We were seated at the far end of the restaurant and between the fans yelling and music and hard floors, the noise was overwhelming. Main course took forever to get because we were told there was a problem in the kitchen. Would never go back.

Restaurant was just listed on the Wine Spectator must do Italian list and side I had a work dinner to schedule we all met up in LB. It's been a while since I have been to Pine street. Wow the place has grown up. The sommelier greeted us as I had Brough a few bottles of wine for the night. Although their list is amazing I love CA was where we can BYOB! Restaurant was totally accommodating and it started our great night. We never actually looked at a menu as or waiter guided us through the night with his recommendations. Amazing night will be back!

L’Opera used to be our go to for special occasions. So, for our 31st anniversary we booked a table, making a note on the reservation it was our anniversary. The hostess greeted us & congratulated us on our anniversary, that was very nice. We were surprised to be seated near the bar where a TV has been installed since our last visit. The noise level was such that we had to speak up to hear each other. We were disappointed to say the least. It makes L’Opera a lot less appealing for special occasions. I can go to Chili’s to get the Sports bar vibe.

I always enjoy the fine dining at La Opera. You can't get a real Caesar salad most places but I had a delicious one last night. The rack of lamb was great to.

Excellent service and delicious food. We were waited on by the sommelier who picked the perfect wine to complement both Osso Bucco and Butternut Squash Ravioli. Really an interesting pairing the went with both dishes in different ways. I wish we lived closer and could visit often.

We took clients here while we were in town for a conference. The staff was very accommodating as we changed how many guests a couple of times and the food was fantastic! The pasta was homemade and amazing! The portions were good sizes and very yummy! Everyone was very impressed when we left!

My wife and I went to L'Opera to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were greeted by the hostess acknowledging our anniversary which was noted on the reservation. The restaurant was specious with subtle lighting and nicely arranged dinning space. Our table was in a semi-private area which was nice. It was set up for 4 people which was a little weird but later in service the server removed the extra utensils and glasses. Our server was great! The food was fresh and tasty but nothing special about it. For me the ambiance was not the best for the occasion as I learned the opera singer is only there on Fridays and Saturdays and there was no music in the background. You could only hear people talking. There was also nothing special done for our wedding anniversary, like a champagne toast, a special dessert. Other establishments of similar price range have really gone out of their way to WOW during special occasions like this. Based on this, I think the restaurant is slightly overpriced. Our meal came to $200 (without tips). I would have expected an elevated experience.

It was our Anniversary and what a perfect choice. The restaurant is elegant and beautifully appointed. The tables are lovely. The service especial our waiter- Alex was outstanding. The food was fabulous and beautifully served. Our main course was veal scallopine and rigatoni in vodka sauce both were delicious. We started with their special salad which was excellent. Even the bread and olive mixture was fabulous. It is a lovely restaurant to dine and enjoy the evening. We had said it was our anniversary but we were too full for dessert. When the waiter brought the check he also brought 2 beautifully prepared containers of chocolate covered strawberries and whipped cream. That was such a thoughtful touch.

Food and service was very good. Value was really not good, as we just had water to drink, and did not have any alcoholic beverages. We had 2 of the specials plus 1 shared Caesar salad. The bill, before tip, was $106. Very overpriced!

Beautiful menu and wine list at reasonable price points, plus high-end selections. Tables are large enough and spaced for an enjoyable dining experience. Ambience is upbeat but not too loud. The opera singer had a gorgeous voice and added unique charm to the evening. Service was personable and spot on. House-made pasta, bread, and dipping oil that tasted like pure love. Definitely will return!

It was pretty good, not as good as I remember. I asked for my ribeye medium rare, it was more medium a bit disappointing but it did have a nice flavor. My wife's fish was tasty. It seems they have changed the decorations to more of a hotel lobby than Italy also, a bit strange if you ask me?
