Amazing ambiance, hushpuppy appetizer with the honey sauce was delicious. Expect to spend 20 - 30+ per plate, but definitely worth the price. The downstairs has a bar and speakeasy that had live Jazz in a cozy atmosphere until 9pm on Sunday. Definitely going to come back!

Right in the heart of NuLu. Great New Orleans inspired cuisine. The bayou dip is to die for! Everything we had was great. Staff was very accommodating and receptive to our 2 year old birthday boy. Will certainly return.

Loved the courtyard atmosphere and the Jazz musicians. The dry ice was a nice addition to my cocktail- food was tasty-I had the she crab soup, the seasonal salad and DH had the jambalaya. All was delicious. Can recommend

Lulu was a disappointment. Service was terrible. We had to ask twice if there was a server for our table. Water lady turned into server. Food was ok but not special. noise was the bigger problem... could not hear each other across the table. wouldn't go there again for service/food/price.

What a major disappointment. They advertise real Cajun food. I ordered a crawfish étouffée, there must’ve been all of five little tiny crawfish in the entire dish. It should’ve been called rice étouffée. When I mentioned it to the manager, he said well, we’re the only ones that serve this in the area. What an answer! In addition, I specifically requested that the main course do not come out while the appetizer is still being eaten. Of course, it all came out almost at the same time. All they did was try to rush us out. Never eat here again. Major attitude adjustment is needed.

The environment is so magical. Beautiful decor and stunning artwork and murals everywhere. The staff was very polite and considerate about checking in. Our food was delicious and the presentation was adorable, such a wonderful meal.

Other than finding a place to park (took 20 minutes for us to park & walk), our experience at Lou Lou’s on Market was superb! They seated us right away upon arrival (5 minutes before our reservation) at a window seat on the second floor. Our waiter Brandon went out of his way to give us good service, he even got me a cup of the Gumbo that wasn’t available in anything less than a dinner sized portion on the menu. We started w drinks, my Kentucky Mule was tasty & the Hurricane came out w dry ice in the bottom making it smoke & bubble, a nice touch. The appetizers were yummy, Lavash & Crawfish dip. My cup of Gumbo was hearty w shrimp, sausage & ochre. The entrees arrived in a timely fashion & were the star of the show. Both the Blackened Mahi & the Shrimp & Grits were AMAZING. Very possibly the best cheesy grits that I’ve ever had. Got my wife & I talking about our next trip to New Orleans. We told our family about our experience & are making plans to go back & visit Lou Lou’s soon!

Celebrated our 5 year anniversary and it was amazing! The food and ambiance were great! We could tell it was super busy because the server was running around and we didn’t see him much but the food runners/bussers were on top of it! The food was brought out quick and dishes cleared fast so the table didn’t get overcrowded. The chef brought out our appetizer. The hush puppies were amazing and perfectly cooked! Had a French 75 cocktail and it was delicious and crisp. The she crab bisque and oysters on the half shell transported me to the coast! The jambalaya was excellent and perfectly proportioned. The pace of dinner was great! Will be back again!

Just average- cocktails were subpar, crawfish bayou dip was extremely rich for an app and just ok in taste; I had the Hangover burger, which almost redeemed the meal- it was very good in terms of flavor although I asked for medium. Hubby ordered a fish dish that came with no sides, which we mentioned and then they came out. I would have hoped for better in downtown Lou!

Far too noisy. Couldn’t hear ourselves talking at table. Owners want to attract attention with a band. I get it, but if you want to be a bar…be a bar, don’t market yourself as a restaurant. Food was quite good, tho!

Don’t miss this gem in NuLu! From the moment we walked in the door, we were impressed. Great staff, great ambiance, great drink selection, however without doubt, the food was the star of this show! We had the blackened mahi and the shrimp and grits. Both were perfectly prepared. As a bonus, there was live music on the patio! We can’t wait to return to LouLou on Market!
