I’ve been there twice and both times the food was very good, the service was friendly and professional. It can get noisy with the feedback loop of people talking louder and louder to be heard over each other. Overall I like this place a lot.

Each of us ordered an appetizer, a different pizza and shared. Easily the best pizza I have had in Halifax. All pizzas were selected from the meat menu. Combinations of meats, cheese/es, and toppings were delicious. Service was excellent.

Lou Pecou is really great! Fantastic pizza, appetizers and salads! The chefs know what they are doing and the staff is very friendly! Great for a family outing, groups and just dates! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Solana was amazing! We had the most wonderful experience, she gave excellent recommendations. The homemade ice cream affogato was delightful and the pizza was delicious as ever. Amazing service, can’t wait to go back!

I really like their cafe vibe, service was lovely. Food doesn't disappoint, their crust is top notch. Variety of interesting and simple Italian pizzas. Nice for a date. Only complaint is the tables are kind of flimsy and my husband kept shaking it by accident.

Beautiful space. There was a miscommunication with the severs, so we had no initial service for nearly 30 minutes. They definitely made up for it with an apology, kind/attentive service and a complimentary dessert. Food was spectacular! We had bread to start, a pizza, and dessert. New favourite restaurant in Halifax! And our server, Solana, was amazing!!

Food was fantastic, very interesting menu offerings. Well thought out wine selections with fairly good value. Service was very good. Our server was very knowledgeable and clearly cares about the business. The dessert sampler is a must! Can’t wait to go back.

This place never fails to impress me! The restaurant is adorable, perfect for a date or just a dinner with friends! Food is always spectacular! All the desserts are made in house and are so delicious!! Definitely recommend the carrot cake or crème brûlée but you won’t be disappointed in any choice you make! Staff are so friendly and are very hospitable. Lou Pécou is by far my favourite restaurant in town.

It was our first time at this lovely restaurant. We had a wonderful experience. Our server Solana was exceptional. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. The pizza was fantastic. The carrot cake was incredible. We will definitely be back!!

The food is good there - this is what matters most to me. The rest is very good too (service, ambiance etc ...) - it is a bit noisy for me as people speak loudly, but it might just be how it is in any restaurant in town. I am French and I had sort of given up in going to restaurant in Halifax - I have been to Lou Pecou twice so far, and have never been disappointed. I absolutely recommend it.

Terrific atmosphere and fantastic service. The quality of menu and ingredients is excellent. The wine list was well curated and fairly priced - every dish was terrific starting with incredible focaccia paired with an aged croton goat cheese. The Caesar salad was beautifully dressed and our pizza was an epiphany. We are going back!

We were on our summer holidays in Halifax, vacationing from Burlington ON. We decided to check out Lou Pecou as it had the highest rating on Google for a pizza joint. It did not disappoint. The chef (and I assume owner), is from Marseille France. We arrived at 4:50pm before they opened and the chef was out front tidying up the entry way (he cares about the details). As we walk up and ask if they are open yet, he notices that I’m wearing a Paris St Germain sweater. He invites us in as he joke that this restaurant supports Marseille and I may have to pay extra to where my PSG sweater. We had limited time as we were attending an event that evening. We ordered 3 pizzas; Pagnol, Lou Campagna, Lou Buou. We only had time for a drink and they boxed up our pizza for us. The crusts are amazing. Absolutely perfect. I would describe the Pagnol as ‘earthy’. I loved it but it was a bit strong for the others in my group. The Lou Campagna was everyone’s favourite (even with the egg). I wish this restaurant well and if I am back in Halifax again I would definitely be a returning customer.

Firstly, I absolutely love the food! I have frequently ordered from Lou Pecou, ever since they opened, and have always been extremely pleased with the food. My mediocre review is entirely down to the noise level. I had really been looking forward to going to Lou Pecou with some visitors, who I knew would enjoy the menu; unfortunately the noise level completely ruined what would otherwise have been a great dining experience… we could barely hear each other, or the server! There is nothing but hard surfaces in the restaurant, nothing to dampen the sound. We felt like we were eating in a high-school cafeteria, with everyone raising their voices to be heard above the din. I will continue to order from Lou Pecou, but will avoid dining in.
