   Our group of friends were visiting Philly for the weekend and based on a recommendation, had dinner on Friday night at Louie Louie. Right as we arrived, the fire alarm sounded and all patrons had to evacuate the building. The staff resolved the issue fairly quickly and we were immediately seated. Service was a little slow due to the kitchen being backed up after the evacuation, but we still had a nice time. Our food and drinks were good (my friend did send her halibut back because it was overcooked, but the kitchen got her a new one which she enjoyed). The duck was exceptional. The manager came over to apologize for our wait and gave us a gift certificate for our next visit. We made a resy for brunch on Sunday and I am so glad we did! Everything we ordered (French toast, shrimp & grits, eggs royale, mushroom omelet) was incredible. The bloody maria was one of the best I've had. Our server on Sunday (I hate that I can't remember his name) was so charming and friendly and made the experience even better. I will definitely be back when I'm back in Philly!

   I was definitely a bit concerned because Fearless restaurants have been hit or miss for us. However, Louie Louie did not disappoint! Food was excellent, staff was excellent, ambience was lovely but loud! Will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely Graduation brunch!

   Lovely sheltered outdoor dining area. Ordered the shrimp remoulade salad. Tons of shrimp, not much salad, but delicious. This dish is probably better as a shared appetizer for the table. Love the sorbet selections, and the passionfruit sorbet is delicious with the texture of fruit! Friendly service.

   Sorry, food was terrible overall. We spent over 150 dollars for our lunch but it wasn't worth it. I believe that because it was a Memorial Day weekend and main cooks are all went to vacation or something? I still love your restaurant because of a good location, good vive, etc., but it was a disappointing meal this time. :/

   Restaurant was nice inside. The ambiance very good. The food was good but not exciting, didn’t wake my taste buds. The burger was good but the fries and the steak could be better. Short ribs was good but the sides not so much. Appetizers was okay. Chardonnay was very good. The kitchen missed one of our orders so the wait was very long for the order to come to the table. Not sure I would eat there again.

   We loved everything about this place. Wonderful service, unique atmosphere, great food and drinks! Rated the food a 4 because I did not love my entree (Tagliolini Piccata)- but the salad (Louie Wedge), dessert (Coffee Almond Tart), drinks, and my husband’s entree (the Louie burger) were delicious so I think it was more my taste than the entree!     I celebrated a belated-Mother’s day brunch at Louie Louie. We’ve dined here before and were excited to return for another delicious meal. We skipped apps and went straight to our main courses, but unfortunately it took a full hour to receive our food. After 45 minutes we asked our server, Meckell, for an update about our dishes to which he admitted that he completely forgot to fire them to the kitchen. This was disheartening because he never once updated us about our meals, and probably wouldn’t have done so had we not asked him ourselves. After finally receiving our meals he still didn’t check to see how things tasted/quality check. Our meals were devoured, despite being over-seasoned with tardiness. I understand things happen, but it’s important to at least be attentive to your tables. Louie Louie comp’d our drinks at least. Probably won’t be returning.

    The food here is usually good, but the last time I ordered the caesar salad with shrimp, I got 5-6 shrimp and shaved parmesan and lovely crisp, fresh romaine. This time I got 4 shrimp, grated parmesan cheese. Very disappointing for $40.

    Louie Louie Bistro Bar is a quality restaurant perfect for any occasion. In my case, I took my mom here for Mother’s Day and she enjoyed the food and service we were given. I would recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid a long wait time. Although we went on a busy day, our food and drinks were served in a reasonable amount of time - and Jordan, our server, did an excellent job in checking on us and letting us know the status of our food! The staff were very friendly and we also didn't feel rushed while finishing our meals. If you are a person who appreciates a good aesthetic, Louie Louie is the place for a picture perfect opp. I can definitely see myself revisiting this restaurant throughout the year!

    Excellent service! Rey was friendly and prompt. On a busy Mother’s Day, the place seemed to have adequate staff and everyone was working well together. Great brunch selection and we all enjoyed our entrees.

    The food was delicious. I got a basic burger but I enjoyed every bite. The mimosa flight was a good value. Decent brunch selection. This is my second time coming here the first was for HH but I can see myself coming back.

    It was a lovely sunny day so the outdoor table was perfect for our group. Service needs improvement though -- we had to ask for spoons after two in our party of 4 were served soup. A slice of toast was requested to go with one soup and after reminding the server upon delivery of the soup, some bagel chip like toasts were brought. The diner wanted a slice of toasted bread so refused them and again asked for a slice of toast pointing to the bread used on my sandwich, and shortly after that the requested toast was served. The food quality is good but quantities are not generous. The curried chicken salad in my sandwich was very good but dwindled to almost nothing at the crusts of the bread. And that single slice of toast was billed at $5. Take cash if you don't want to pay a credit card fee.

    My wife and I love this place and come here often. It's a much needed upscale (not stuffy) dining option West of the Schuylkill River in the City. The food is consistently great and true to its Frenchiness (i.e., rich). We met friends for an early 4:30 dinner, and the service was slow this time. They were changing shifts and our initial wait even for water was too long. But it was a busy weekend and the experience was still wonderful overall. Just could not give five stars in good conscience this time. Highly recommended.
