We came to LouixLouis to celebrate birthday right before the lock down. We had a great dinning experience! Exceptional service, stunning ambience, food and drinks are both fantastic! We will come back for sure!
Amazing restaurant, I will be back
We had such a great experience. Our server was so kind and patient. We had a great time celebrating our engagement and the food was excellent.
Food was nice, but not the Wow you would expect for the price. Art deco interior gives it a cool vibe for a fun place to have a drink. Wouldn't go back for a meal.
The food was extremely average for the premium price. Waiter was kind of stand offish. 2.5/5 stars.
Our server was so friendly and the atmosphere was great! Amazing food as well
I was very disappointed that on their website they said they were serving a holiday brunch for December 31 and instead it was just the regular breakfast. And then it took over 1/2 an hour to get someone’s attention to get our cheque to pay.
Given the prices of everything I expected the food to be remarkable but was underwhelming. I ordered a lot of food and the best tasting part was the butter provided for the table bread. Second best would be the truffle fries, they were average. Everything else was below average.
Food could have been a lot better. The ambiance was good. The staff was very nice and friendly. Would recommend for a night of drinks, not so much the food.
The food was not as good as how it’s used to be, especially the wagyu burger, buns were very soggy, it used to be really good.
Service was mediocre and fell short of what you would expect from fine dining. When making the reservation, we noted it was our anniversary and there was no mention of it all dinner. The sea bass/toothfish was good, but the waygu burger was garbage. They took away one of our drinks when it was half full. Wouldn't recommend coming here for the price point.
The initial service was great then it took a downturn. With food coming late and missing cutlery.
The food came very cold, especially for an $80 steak you would expect it to be served well. The fries were super old and stale given you’re paying $20 just for fries…
The only good was the bread and mac and cheese.
Overall very poor, wouldn’t recommend.
We are quite pleased to have discovered LOUIX LOUIS. We had requested a table with a view and were treated with a spectacular view of Toronto at night. The lounge looked equally tempting with backlit (whiskey?) bottles stacked up to the ceiling, creating an amber light. Beautiful atmosphere with great food! We had oysters and bass and were happy with both. My husband had to try a whiskey from their large selection, and I was equally happy with my icewine poached pear for dessert. It was a treat, and a nice way to conclude the Christmas season. We will be back!
Beautiful ambience and wonderful menu. Service was also efficient.
Great lunch and fabulous atmosphere! Branzino is a must-try dish.
Not worth the price you pay. Food is below average except the King's cake
We tried Louix Louis got dinner during the holiday season, and we had a good time. The space is smaller than it appears in pictures and less gold/glitzy. We had the holiday prix fixe menu - which was three courses for $135 plus tax and tip. The food was good and decent portions however, I found the price to be high (the holiday season probably didn’t help either). It’s a nice place for a date or special occasion, but a bit overhyped. Nice upscale restaurant that’s worth a try but nothing makes it stand out when compared to other upscale restaurants.
Service is not good. Do not know how to service. The service is garbage
I have to share how disappointment I was in visiting your establishment. I have visited a couple of years back and had a good time and returned to celebrate Christmas over brunch as well as celebrate my daughter's 3rd birthday with family on Christmas Day.
Let me start with the GOOD.
The staff working at the restaurant were very kind... That said... That's about the only nice thing I can say about our visit.
1. I noted on the reservation that we are celebrating a birthday but I don't believe the waiter or staff knew or acknowledged.
2. I called several times over the week to see if I can bring my own cake.. But no one ever answered. (Ps your answering machine is dates... You should check that and update) it also doesn't give you an alternative to communicate or have any questions answered.
3. I mentioned to the waiter a NUMBER of times that my child's has a bit allergy. I repeatedly asked him over and over if the options provided were but free... We ordered three dessert based on his recommendation... The Christmas log cake thing... He told me there were no nuts and that was the only items that didn't have any included... When it arrived I noticed likely Brown garnishes that appeared to be hazelnut mousse of sorts and ask him if it's nuts. He then said he will ask and came back and verified it was hazelnuts... Then I noticed little chuncks under the chocolate later that appeared to be some sort of but product... Which again I had to ask him to verify... Which again here said he will have to confirm... He returned and said there are nuts. Why her refined this to begin with is beyond me and I think it's EXTREMELY dangerous that your staff does not know and are not trained in how to deal with food allergies and it's severity... Is very appealing and alarming. He then recommendes that he just bring use the sorbet, which I agreed to. He came back and brought some random cheesecake which I didn't ask for...
This will cut off but will email management
Stunning restaurant with amazing Christmas menu. This restaurant did not disappoint on Christmas Day. Amazing service, rich delicious food, and what can you say about that King Louis Chocolate Cake? Thirteen layers of chocolate bliss.
service could have been better - the waiter was well trained but he seemed confused managing our orders
Christmas price fixe menu was FANTASTIC, highly recommend.. we have a new Christmas tradition.
Nice place for night out. Food is not worth the price
This is our go to restaurant for special occasions and we also stayed in the hotel on this occasion. I wasn’t a fan of the fixed menu options on offer this year although the food quality was the usual high standard. $135.00 per person is excessive for any standard too. $400 with tax and gratuity for two people is just too much imho. Limited desert options too. Our night was still very special.
The food is outstanding - we booked Christmas dinner prix fixe menu. The only thing - some cocktails were a little mediocre, but I will be coming back and trying more. Definitely disliked the glasses they were served in as well, presentation could have been different. But overall - great experience, great service. Waiters were amazing.
Their food was super salt and they never asked how our food was, had to ask for water refill, and their customer service was really bad:(
Excellent overall! A must go to.
Service was great. Food is great.
The food was delicious and ambience was perfect. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Highly recommended.
Great place for drinks at the bar!
Great place to relax and enjoy the evening, place is awesome
Food and service was outstanding. We don't often go to such upscale dinners, but this was worth every penny. We will definitely be back.
Nice food, but service is kind slow
Went to Louix Louis on December 20, 2021 for dinner. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. Wagyu was smooth like butter and cooked to perfection (medium), the sea bass melted in my mouth, never knew artichoke could taste so damn delicious, and the soft shell crab was to die for! Will definitely eat here again.
The choice of loud Christmas elevator music at a fine dining ambient venue is terrible. The music was Walmart, the restaurant wonderful.
Very Nice place ! I will come back and recommend !
Amazing ! My boyfriend had a wonderful dinner! Thank you so much! We will be back!
The staff was incredible, very attentive and were really wonderful to our 7 year old daughter
My sister and I went for afternoon tea. It was such a nice experience. The staff were so pleasant. Would definitely come back again.
Amazing service and amazing food, buy tables are way too close to each other its very uncomfortable. It was like i was dining at the same table with strangers
Beautiful restaurant, impeccable service and delicious food
