    this restaurant was alright, definitely not for the price. when we first came here we expect too much. the service there and the people were very friendly and helpful. the food was however pretty disappointing. it was either too salty or unseasoned. i got the truffle chicken and it honestly tasted like costco rotisserie chicken and my friend got the wagyu short rib that tasted basically like any other stewed beef. the truffle mac and cheese was really good but would’ve been better if it was seasoned. the cake however was really good only if you really really like chocolate

    The food was very underwhelming. My friend ordered the lobster risotto and it was bland. I had the wagyu short ribs and it tasted like a supbar meatloaf. The service was amazing. The food needs work

    My husband and I took both of our parents here for a fancy dinner last Friday. We had never been here before, but had a few great recommendations, so we made a reservation. We had a great experience! The staff were welcoming and attentive, and asked to take our jackets to coat check - a nice touch! Our server was friendly and attentive, and we had several other staff members visit our table to fill water, pour wine, and drop off food. The bottle wine we selected was out of stock, but the manager was quick to help make a suggestion and ensure we were happy with the wine we received. We ordered the octopus and beef tartar as appetizers to share. The tartar was good, but the octopus was exceptional! I have never had octopus so tender and flavourful. I would say it was my favourite part of the meal. For our mains, we ordered the tomahawk steak to share, as well as several side dishes as an accompaniment. The steak was juicy, flavourful and cooked to a perfect medium rare. We also tried the truffle mac & cheese, broccolini, brussel sprouts, and truffle parmesan fries, and received a variety of sauces for the meat; All of which were tasty! To finish, we had to try their famous King's Cake - a 13 layer chocolate cake with hazelnut cream filling, and a chocolate ganache poured over top. I love dessert and this was the perfect way to end our meal. Overall, we had a great experience at LOUIX LOUIS! It was an expensive dinner out, and we knew that coming in, but the food, service and ambience were all exceptional, and made it worth the cost! I would recommend LOUIX LOUIS to friends and family for special occasions and for a fancy night out.

    I have eaten lunch at Louix Louis several times, this was my first dining experience. Although a bit loud with a DJ spinning tuns, the food was outstanding and the service very good. The ambience is stunning. All things considered, a good experience.

    My first visit to Louix Louis, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was on the 31st floor! Great views! Friendly and professional service, includes coat room. Creative cocktails and a great wine list. Food service was prompt and serving sizes were appropriate. Great for business meetings or night out with your significant other. Definitely on my list for another visit.

    Server was horrible..not communicative, didn't refill water, didn't offer dessert menu and disappeared after we had our dinner..after a complaint, suddenly a new server was assigned that was 100x nicer than the first but the damage was already done. Very good food but if you don't care about the way you are treated then I guess I would tell a friend to come here.

    My family and I had dinner around 6:00 pm tonight, 22nd of November for my birthday. The place is beautiful and ambience/location is prime. Unfortunately the food needs to be removed and reimagined. The lobster risotto was satisfying but not amazing. My daughter said the Junior chicken at McDonald’s is way better than the food she received at Louix Louis. And for the finale, the King’s Cake. Please do not order this at all. I have had boxed cake from Betty Crocker that was better than this. I have had chocolate cake for many celebrations and this one was not in the top ten at all. I am unsure if we got a stale cake but I was extremely displeased. We went there with intention of ending a lovely night with this cake. Our entire bill was over $350 and while the ambiance was great, I would not return to Louix Louis. Our server was amazing! Thank goodness you were there!

    The highest level of service was here! I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and ate breakfast here each morning. The staff is absolutely WONDERFUL. They were sincere, smiling, and on top of everything. I will be back and I this will be my first stop each morning again!

    Enjoyed an evening for two at Loiux Louis Saturday night, while the food menu is fairly priced, the markup on drinks is borderline insulting. Atmosphere was nice, comfortable chairs and beautiful decor. Service was top notch with a very attentive and kind waiter. Three course meals included casear salad, shrimp cocktail, salmon, short rib, and desserts. The food was of great quality and well plated. Salmon was light on seasoning and could have used some acid, but otherwise passed. Will consider eating here again.

    I brought my dearest to celebrate an important life event and to dazzle them on the 31st floor of the ritzy looking Louis Louis according to the descriptions and pictures on their website. It was even a surprise. Well, we were surprised alright…! We were seated with a table facing the washroom without any view of the city. I asked to be moved but was told it’s all reserved. Well, there were at least 5 tables vacant and even after we dined, they were still mostly vacant. The food was decent but too buttery especially the mushrooms. The extra cutlery was placed directly touching the table instead of on a napkin at least. You think with this upscale restaurant, they could at least afford a cloth napkin instead of paper. The ambiance was also too dark for us to read the menu or see each others face properly and it was rather noisy with aevwds chatting behind us constantly. They could invest in better lightings or fancier lamp at least. We certainly did not feel rirzy or being on top of the world with the almost non-existing view. 👎

    I have always said that Louix Louis was my favourite restaurant. But yesterday I was underwhelmed. Food was very good (cheesecake was extremely delicious) but it was overshadowed by the server who had significant body odour and small flies that were hovering over our food. This was not a five-star experience and I regret to inform that yesterday would be my last time that I would ever have lunch or dine in this restaurant.

    Louix Louis is my must go to dining if I celebrate special events. Their service and food are always top notch. However, one down side is they don't change their menu often. This time finally they update their menu. We tried the waygu short ribs and king salmon. Waygu short rib is about 6-7oz, braised over many hours to make it tender. King salmon with lentil is another delicious entrée. Finally we ended up something different for the dessert as well! They have the cheesecake. Louix Louis is definitely worth a try, price point is reasonable since it is located in St Regis hotel. Expect $50-65 per entrée, $25-40 per appetizer.
