   Our family of six was vacationing in Phoenix for the week. Lou’s was recommended for the food and the sunset. Both were great. Our server Sophia was delightful.

   Party of 11. The ruebens were horrible. The meat was greasy and there was very little of it. Poorest rueben I’ve ever had. The prime rib was not good. The sal on was good. Didn’t really feel welcome. The help was younger and not interactive. We probably won’t go back.

   I came with a group of 13 and the staff was really accommodating. The food was great and drinks were reasonably priced. I was disappointed their breakfast menu ended at 11am on Sunday considering I invited my group for brunch, but that was my fault. The view of Papago in the background made for great views. It's also dog friendly!

   Great views, open and friendly environment. Food not bad, but service was terrible. Impersonal style, spilled drink on the table and never cleaned it up. Food prices, little steep for type of restaurant.

   We loved being outside, sitting by the fire, surrounded by beautiful scenery, eating and being waited on by a super young man. The food isn’t fancy, but good bar food. I will definitely return.

    Great ambience for golf lovers. Kids enjoyed running around on the putting green. Service was very slow. Took our food a long time to arrive. Quality was a bit uneven. LOTS of dogs! Plenty of annoying barking. Would go back. Hard to beat the outside view.

    Every year on January 25th we go for a fish fry. We wanted to go to a local place. We weren’t greeted for 10 minutes. We barely saw our server. Maybe short staffed, which is understandable as I am an the restaurant business, but it was beyond that. They must not have any support staff. I waited at the host stand for 5 minutes to ask for bags for the games outside. No one that worked there had a smile on their face. When we left the host just stood there and didn’t say a word. I’m getting ahead of myself. We finally were able to order 25 minutes after we sat. Most of the food was honestly not even slightly good. The kids Mac and cheese was inedible. The fish for the fish and chips had zero flavor and was a very thin piece of fish. No lemon or vinegar was served. I asked when the server came by 10 minutes after food came out. The French dip was the only good thing, and it was great. It was, however, the smallest French dip I’ve ever seen, and I promise that is not an exaggeration. The build your own Bloody Mary bar was worth the $12. Although there was no horseradish, lemons, or limes. The atmosphere was great for the kids which is why we chose the place. Just an overall bad experience. Very unfortunate. I will say that our server was very nice. But we had terrible service in general.

    We have gone to Lou's several times for happy hour and lunch. This time we went for Friday night happy hour drinks and snacks plus listen to some live music. We had a great time, Levi was attentive and informative. The band, Raun Alosi Band, which none of us knew was great. We ended up staying through all of their sets. Lou's is such a great venue with lovely views of the Papagos to the east, planes landing to the south and the sun setting in the west. Such a fun night. We will be back and they should definitely have The Raun Alosi Band back.

    Love the venue, though on a cold and rainy day it might be best to have the doors closed. :) Kitchen needs to get better at timing apps and mains...we got our app 2 minutes prior to our mains coming out.

    Patio seating is fun and relaxed. Great atmosphere. Server was attentive. He replaced cocktail that was not to my liking without hesitation. Our party ordered the fish and chips - crispy and not greasy. The steak and frites was good although was more well done than medium rare as requested. The caesar salad with salmon was as expected.     What happened? This quickly became our go to spot for our family for breakfast. First the service continues to be excellent. But everything else fell off -a cliff like in Papago... They have ruined the corned beef hash. Pickled onions don’t go with pickled(corned) beef. Not sure how u under cook potatoes regardless of size, but success guys and gals! Poached egg is not the same as hard boiled egg- FYI. The middle should be runny. We live in az. You should be able to get avocados that are ripe but yet still fresh. Was it even fresh avacados? Your avocado Benedict should probably be served on a warmer for toasted English muffin. So.... I know this is a bad review and it nitpicks and people don’t get everything right all the time but you have gotten everything right multiple times before and you got nothing right this morning. Maybe one of the twins need to check the food before it goes out?

    Had a fabulous time at Lou's Bar & Grill. On this occasion my friends and I practically had the place to ourselves so we were able to enjoy good conversation with a beautiful view and excellent service. The food was delicious as well. We all agreed we would come back.

    We are long-term residents to the Scottsdale area and came back to see about the improvements We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant and especially the food - it was very good I know we will be back and I know my husband enjoyed it too We thought they did a good job for a golf course but not our style of decor But it works for that place and we also felt the prices were fair in the golf shop I like the idea too that they have breakfast lunch and dinner and music at happy hour on certain days so they’re catering to us And they seem to be appreciating the people that have always supported Papago golf course and for that we are grateful We thank you for doing a good job with it all

    Lou’s has the potential to be outstanding with its ambiance and menu options if only the customer service were improved. We’ve dined here several times and have on more than one occasion felt like a nuisance to our server.

    We made a 6:30pm reservation for Lou's Bar and Grill. Information online said the restaurant closed at 8:30pm. Within two minutes of arriving, we were told that it was 'last call' and that they close at 7:00pm on Sunday. They also said they found the 6:30 reservation 'weird,' but at no point did anyone try to call, text, etc. to let me know that the restaurant closed at 7:00. We felt very rushed to order, and I found the food to be very different from the last time I came (e.g. my salad was supposed to come with pickled grapes, but they were just regular grapes, croutons in my salad were hard as a rock and "dressing" tasted like straight honey poured over the salad, french fries were hard/overcooked, etc.). However, the setting is spectacular and the staff was gracious about letting us stay and enjoy the view and outdoors even after closing. I would go back again for the atmosphere and drinks, but not necessarily for the food.

    Because of the amazing views and modern decor, I really wanted to like Lou's and to add it to our list of go-to places. Unfortunately, the service and food were both lacking and bland. It took almost 10 minutes before our server greeted us with barely a smile and a detached attitude (and for the entire meal also). While waiting those 10 minutes, I noticed that all the servers were hanging out in the kitchen or just outside of it and not tending to their tables (and it was busy). When they finally appeared, I noticed that they didn't smile or interact with their customers either. The only glimpse of personality or customer service attitude came from the few seconds of interaction from the two runners who brought our food. Our server never checked in on us until the end of the meal; my husband ran out of ice tea midway through the meal and politely raised his glass after several minutes. Another server noticed and told our server. All of our food lacked seasoning/flavor, except for my salad which was flavorful and plentiful. Again, I really wanted this to be an enjoyable meal, especially since it was a birthday lunch for my father-in-law. But, unfortunately, the detached attitudes and bland food reflect that there are some management issues at Lou's. I hope they can fix them, because the location and ambiance is wonderful.

    Enjoyed pur meal on Easter! Food was tasty and the view is very nice of Papago and the valley! The only criticism we have is the waitress. When she asked if we were done and replied yes !, she slammed down the check and left our plates in front of us. She never asked if we enjoyed our meal and popped off. Perhaps, we might have liked another drink or desert? It wasn’t terribly busy. Oh well, she might have had a bad day! We enjoy Lou’s and will return as it is local and the staff is usually very friendly and food is good!

    Dislike that Papago will be replacing Karsten as the home of ASU Sun Devil Golf, but the new clubhouse and restaurant are outstanding. Great design, good food and ambiance.
