Really enjoyed our first visit to Luca but this second visit was disappointing. Burrata tomato salad had clearly been made ahead of time and refrigerated, so the tomatoes didn’t have flavour and burrata didn’t have the creaminess expected. The temp was fridge-cold. Unfortunate for a $30 salad. Scallop entree for $40 had 3 small scallops and 3 arrancini smaller than a golf ball. Expected something slightly more substantial. Tiramisu for dessert had also been sitting for a while. The cookie layer was tough. Too bad as our first time at Luca was rave-worthy.

Decent recent but doesn’t compare to Mercato. Gave us a table in the corner. More concerned about flipping the table to the next customer than the dining experience.

Our first time here with girlfriends to celebrate Birthdays. I gave 4 star for food,mainly just for the lobster risotto that’s recommended and we shared.The rest of the food are amazing too but the lobster itself is so tiny.For $75 price we expect more bigger portion of the protein.,just our opinion. Still would recommend this place to friends

I do love this restaurant and have been there numerous times. But some of my dinner was delivered cold this time even though it took a long time. It must have been busier than normal.

A lovely evening from start to finish. From the moment we entered we were taken care of by well trained, professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We shared a number of dishes, all were perfectly prepared, well presented, and delicious! Tasteful and elegant décor, a good amount of hustle and bustle without feeling noisy and crowded. Would certainly recommend as a great place for a date, or an evening with friends.

Enjoyed lunch. Disappointed in the Linguine Vongole pasta dish. It was a little dry, no sauce and the clams were very large. I have ordered it previously and felt the same. It is usually my favourite dish but not here. The Burata salad was good. The Panna cotta dessert enjoyable. Service was good. The restaurant is enjoyable. Appreciate the white tablecloths. Will try something else next time. Previously enjoyed the mushroom risotto but it wasn't on the menu this time. Would rate it higher if the linguine was better than average.

A great way to showcase Calgary’s dining experience to out of town business visitors. They ran out of the sea bass which was the only disappointment as this is my favourite dish.

The food was very very average if not below average, we got the lobster risotto and when the lobster came out we couldn’t even cut into it and neither could the server so we got it sent back, the risotto itself was lacking flavour. Same thing with the pasta and calamari just very very basic couldn’t have made them at home at the same level. Not impressed and not sure why the restaurants rating on google is 4.6. Service was great and server DJ was great and ambience was good but that’s about all they had to offer. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t come back

I completely enjoyed celebrating a 20th birthday with my grandson at Luca. We sat on the coveted bar seats overlooking the kitchen. What a treat! Fascinating for me & educational for a sait culinary student. Our ever attentive server even helped us learn the proper pronunciation of our dishes. All ingredients and flavours were flawless. Perfect ambiance, meals and service. My best restaurant experience this year.

Lovely decore and atmosphere. Not too loud - I really appreciated that! Chairs were comfortable. Food was perfect. I had the linguine de mare and loved it. I had a bite of the calamari my friends had and it was exquisite! For desert the bavarese was soooo good. The French chardonnay is not too oaky, really lovely. I liked that the wait staff were in tasteful uniforms (no body parts in my face) and service was excellent. There’s also a coat check which is a nice touch. Jamie was our server - friendly and professional.

Dining at Luca was a fabulous experience. The food was exceptional; the wine list extensive. The attention to our needs was superior. We were not rushed nor did we wait for service. It is a lovely metropolitan atmosphere. It was a quiet dining experience to facilitate conversation around the table. The free underground parking is an asset.

The energy in the room and the level of service were both top notch. We sat at the kitchen bar and were able to watch the chefs put out some fantastic dishes. Our server was very knowledgeable in both the menu and the wine list. The Hostess had remembered me from my previous visit and remembered my seating preference at the bar.

We ordered the bistecca di Manzo 36 oz ribeye to share for a group of 4. Side dishes of mushroom ragout, veggies It was the perfect amount of food. But above all the service was impeccable. Water was ice cold. All staff were helpful.loved the service

I thought our appetizer and pasta dish were above average, but not the best I've had. The desert was outstanding.

Impeccable service, wine recommendations were superb, the only drawback was the food. Caesar salad dressing was outstanding however it was served with wilted romaine. I did mention this to my server and was surprised to still see it on the bill. The lamb flavor was delicious as it was sous vide, however it was served between rare and medium rare which I feel is appropriate for beef, not lamb, should be closer to medium. Also the description for lamb was it came with a ratatouille type dish, instead it was served with a polenta. All in all a nice evening, the menu is well structured and representative of an authentic Italian restaurant, however the food preparation and delivery could use some expertise.

Just wonderful! Outstanding service by Silvie and the rest of the staff. She is really fantastic and made our dining experience wonderful. Food was fabulous!, I’d go back for the calamari, the lamb, scallops, and I we need to try that lobster risotto next time. Thank you!

Service was incredible, super friendly and attentive. The space is stunning, I can see why there's a dress code. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic. As was the risotto. The space can accommodate large parties so I will be noting this for next time when I'm looking for somewhere to host a birthday or work event.
