The food has been consistently getting worse and worse. I ordered the French dip which came very dry, rough beef, and a side of Ajou but it wasn’t enough to stop me from having to choke down the sandwich. My husband had the grilled panini which was greasy. We were becoming regular customers but somehow something changed over our last three visits. Not returning anytime soon.

As locals, we frequent Lucky Penny often. The omelets are always just perfect and the bacon crispy as I like, and the avocado toast the best in town. Our favorite servers are Jennifer, David and Jerlyn. We are always greeted and felt welcomed by Jocelyn and the others.

Normally a good experience, this one was not so good. We made reservations to avoid a 15-30 minute wait and were seated promptly. Our server came over and took our order. About 5-10 minutes later she came over and asked if anyone had taken our order. I said "you did". She said "oh that's right". Another 5 minutes passed and she came back and said that her shift was over but Bradley would be taking over. WE sat for about another 10 minutes or so with no food. Bradley came over and said the the server that took our order put it in but did not make sure that it actually got to the kitchen and she left. Bradley went to the kitchen and made sure the order was in. We got the food after about 35 minutes. My wife's omelet was warm, not hot and her potatoes were almost cold. At that time, I believe it was a manager that came to our table and asked how everything was. My wife told her that her food wasn't even hot after waiting 35 minutes. The "manager" asked her if she would like it remade. My wife said no and that we had already waited 35 minutes to get this food and she didn't want to wait anymore. The manager then looked at me to see how my food was. I gave her a thumbs up just to get her away from our table so we could finish our breakfast and go. There was no offer to remove my wife's breakfast from the bill, only to remake it which would have been another 10-15 minutes. We normally get a nice meal and good service but this was a really less than desirable experience. We have decided not to go back for a long while. And the whole reservation thing, when there are clearly open tables in the restaurant is a little ridiculous as well.

We always have good service with Tia, Todd or Lisa. We would like to see their menu change more frequently. Seems those who make up the menu are striving to make the Lucky Penny more of a "fine dining" experience, not so much with the ambiance but with the menu. They had a decent NY Strip steak they replaced with a Hanger steak that is not of the same quality. Simple items such as a fried shrimp basket, or 3 piece fried chicken or open-face turkey or beef sandwiches seem more befitting to a Cafe.

Always a pleasure to go to Lucky Penney for Breakfast and lunch. From the moment we are pleasantly greeted by the friendly hostess, to the person offering our drinks to our favorite server, (Jennifer) our entire experience is wonderful. The egg omelets are perfect My friend had the Asian Chicken Salad and thought it was the bet in Las Vegas. We keep coming back.

The Lucky Penny is a great place for a relaxed meal 24 hours a day. It became my 'go to' eatery as it was reasonably priced for the location. The service was friendly and mostly quick. I highly recommend booking if you are there on a busy day, even for breakfast.

We were checked in very quickly, the servers were very sweet and interactive my kids. My parents came in from out of state to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Food got to us quickly and we never had an empty cup on the table. Prices are very low compared to the high quality services we received. Will definitely be coming back!

Lucky Penny Cafe is a family favorite. We were out on a double date on this night. Food was great! We ordered the Penny Burger, Classic Reuben , Club Sandwich and Fish Tacos. The only thing that wasn’t stellar was the fish tacos. Service was a little lack luster this time around. Wouldn’t keep us from coming back, but wasn’t the usual.
