   We asked for our salad and main to be brought out together, because we had a curtain to make, but instead the delay between the courses was longer than is routine. The fish of the main course was significantly overcooked to the point of being dry.

   Excellent food and service! Everyone was wowed by their dishes and actually a value given the portions. Yes, slightly pricey, but excellent execution and wonderful ambience. Service can be a little deliberate, but I find that charming. It was a Memorial Day Weekend dinner, so I was in no rush! Pound for pound, my favorite Italian place.

   We had a wonderful time celebrating our sons college graduation!! The restaurant is very popular and was crowded on a Tuesday night @ 8. We sat upstairs in hopes of it being quieter however it was loud with an oversized party of exuberant diners seated quite close to us. They quieted down when their food arrived, understandably so :) We got the combo of five meats and cheeses for the table to start which was delicious - all from Italy. The burratta app I got was phenomenal. The octopus app was a little tough and dry. The caprese salad was good - the water buffalo mozzarella in it definitely outshined the tomatoes which are not yet in their best season. A creative twist was to use watermelon along with tomatoes in the caprese. Everyone liked their pasta and my husbands branzino special was good. The waiter was very pleasant and accommodating.    Lupo Verde has been a long time favorite. Unfortunately last night was not up to par. The food was really just ok, not the same as prior visits. Hopefully it was just last night.

   Very noisy so we were grateful to have a corner window table upstairs. Salad and pasta were pretty good but certainly not great. Biggest complaint is very rushed service. Salad had just arrived and within 3 minutes the pasta courses were brought out before we could even finish. Had to give up salad to eat the pasta. Salad on table at the same time as my pasta is a very big no in my book.

    I have had some wonderful meals at Lupo Verde, but tonight was a real miss. Our appetizers were fine. However, all of our entrees were overcooked and under seasoned. My husband’s snapper was not right, my tuna Wellington was bland, and our friend sent back her chicken dish. We had some pasta. It was undercooked. We didn’t finish more than a couple of bites. The service was also a bit slow. Given that there are lots of good restaurants in the neighborhood and given that this is not my first lousy meal here, I’m not sure I’ll be back.

    The experience was OK. Service was slow - I had to wave down our server at one point to put in an appetizer order and then we ate our bread and appetizer completely before he stopped to take our entrée order. 3 stars because the food was tasty although not amazing. We were seated in the upstairs dining area - it was uncomfortably warm, crowded (not because it was full but because the tables were all very close together), and very loud. Not the experience I hoped for. With all the great restaurants in DC, I think it would be easy to find a better place than this.

    Service is always slow every time I visit Lupo Verde. This most recent visit was the slowest yet. It was at least 7+ minutes between every interaction with the bartender/waiter. If it wasn’t for the location, I would never come back.

    Lovely place for dinner. Great ambiance, attentive staff, phenomenal homemade pasta. They were piloting a new menu and it was obvious -- our whole group of five ordered pasta with some type of shellfish, shrimp, crab, or lobster. All of the fish came in the shells, in sauce, on the pasta, and was messy and in some cases impossible to eat. Three of us gave up and two sent food back to have it removed from shells. We are all pretty easy going. Keep this in mind if you are going on a date! Dessert was also amazing.

    I have dined many times, the food is always good. If I can comment,I would suggest the restaurant to make sure that the staff at entrance are friendly. The last 3 times, the front staff behaved like they were doing me a favor ( I had reservations each time….)

    It was good overall. The hostess just pointed me to my table and clearly didn’t want to walk or move at all, which was not good. It was also unfortunate that it was a beautiful day but our patio table enclosed by plastic because the mechanic is to raise the plastic was broken. For the price, the hostess should have been better mannered and the patio enclosure should have functioned properly.

    We booked an inside table on open table but were immediately ushered out to the side walk for our outside table. There were no heaters; my wife and I kept our coats on the entire dinner. To say that our table was rickety would be an understatement. The waiter tried to fix it using a napkin under the table but determined that there was something structurally wrong with the table. That was it. No one even offered to move us. One of the cocktails came out in a dirty glass. When I brought it up to the waiter he explained that what I had pointed out was just residue from rubbing an orange on the rim of the glass. I explained that the residue was dry and crusted and demonstrated this by scratching at it with my fingernail. The food was very average and the prices were ridiculous given the quality and the general sense that no one really gave a sh*t about anything.

    This was my favorite restaurant until we ate there last night. The waiter brought 2 of 3 meals and then the third person had to wait 15 minutes. So, either we let our food get cold or ate without him. The pasta was so salty I couldn't eat it, and the bruschetta was like concrete. Very unhappy and disappointed.

    Went to Lupo Verde for a dinner and it was amazing! The atmosphere was great, services was friendly and the food was fantastic. It was so hard to choose a dish, but we ended up with the short rib ravioli (soooo good) and the pescatora. Honestly could have ordered one of everything. Highly recommend this place!

    The bruschetta appetizer, namely the mushroom crostini, was inedible. The risotto was just bad, which for $36, is disappointing. The fettuccine entrees were ok, but that didnt make up for the rest. Would not recommend considering the other Italian options in the City.
