We had dinner here with friends last night and were very disappointed in our experience. We had high hopes since we really like the other Lupo Verde, but our experience was very poor. We were seated upstairs, which you have to get to by going up a very narrow circular staircase. We waited 50 minutes after being seated before we got our complementary bread service (at the same time as our appetizers), despite asking nicely several times and watching all other tables around us receive theirs. Our waitress was shockingly rude and snappy with us from the beginning. She never told us the specials and we had to ask what the fish of the day was. The Cacio Pepe pasta appetizer was good and the pasta was fresh and Al dente. It was downhill from there. The branzino was a very thin slice of fish and it was completely tasteless and unseasoned. The chicken Milanese was very bland and uninspired as well. Out friends had risotto and lasagna. The risotto was unimpressive although the lasagna was supposedly good. All the food and wine has to come up from downstairs, up the same narrow circular staircase that is also used by the guests. I have never posted a negative review before, but I felt that our experience was so bad from the service to the food that I had to write an honest review so others do not waste their time or money at this restaurant.

Had our party of 3 crammed in a table for 2 with an extra chair saying they were fully booked. There were several empty tables the entire time we were there. otherwise Food was delicious and service was good.

Great food. Service not as good this time. Sat without water for a while with two, sometimes three hosts about 10 feet away. Don’t mind waiting, but some communication (sorry for the delay!) or just some water would have been good. Probably just a glitch, when we came for dinner another time I couldn’t have been happier.

Brunch was not good. Very sad by this because I’ve had dinner there a few times and it was excellent Don’t go for brunch! Trust me! My eggs Benedict was a hard boiled egg on English muffin the yolk was literally fully cooked! Salad on side was brown and wilted. They forgot my sons order so by the time we all finished eating they brought his. I was pretty bummed…

First time visiting this location and am very happy that I did. Picked it for a work dinner and it was great ambience, yummy food selections for both vegetarian and non-veg, and the wait staff were really attentive and kind.

Worst dining experience in years. Even though we have dined there numerous times, the quality, service level and attitude has deteriorated to that of a poor quality establishment. Avoid. Incorrect main course delivered after others had eaten. No apologies. Evasive waitress and manager. Only offered a credit after our complaint. Then tried to negotiate. Overall a pathetic experience in a pathetically managed and operated restaurant. Will never return and will recommend that others go to better options in the area. Very sad to see this occur to a formerly pleasant and customer focused restaurant.

First visit, and had not spent much time scoping out restaurant. We needed a place in the area to dine, while our son was busy, and other go to’s were booked. We will be back! The food was delicious, the service excellent and the portions were just right with enough diversity on the menu that we are looking forward to coming back. It was so good, we texted friends to find out if they have eaten there - next outing for the 4 of us.

I was looking for a quaint neighborhood restaurant, and this one was just perfect in that respect. And the service was very good. Our waiter was Italian, which gave me hope that the food would be authentic and delicious. It was not. The food was fine but underwhelming. I ordered a spaghetti with sausage and bacon, and the meat tasted like a ballpark hot dog. The other items we had were fine but not worth the money. I REALLY wanted to love this place, but the food was average.

I have had many good meals here in the past. I don’t know what has happened. Food took an hour to arrive, was cold, my dourade was bland and filled with bones (tho supposedly fileted table side). The server was very nice…I think the problem was in the kitchen.

Took my adult children to dinner last week. Had not been in a year or so and was surprised that the least expensive bottle of wine was $62. When I mentioned that to the waiter and asked if they might have a carafe of house wine that might be less, I got a lecture that everything was more expensive these days, gas, food, clothing… omg how condescending he was to the matriarch taking everyone to dinner. Food was excellent but the experience was soured when the waiter then decided to only communicate with my son in law and ended up bringing him the bill and standing there until he swiped his card (even after my daughter asked the waiter for a moment with the bill so I could take care of it). A very uncomfortable and offensive way to end the meal.

We went with another couple on a busy Saturday night. We got drinks at the bar while while waiting for our table. Very good bar and wait staff. The chicken Milanese and eggplant entrees were delicious as well as the Caprese salad appetizer. Overall, a very nice neighborhood restaurant experience!

Real Italian food! Simple and refined. Nothing swimming in tomato sauce and heavy cheese. Service is very professional, but warm and hospitable at the same time. Charming ambiance. Excellent wine. A neighborhood jewel, and parking is easy.

Mohammed was a delightful server, we like the little room although it’s a little loud, food was delicious. The only disappointment was the size of the Bronzino was rather small, and the eggplant wasn’t its usual soft delicate taste.

I have been at the Lupo Verde on 14th and it was a completely different experience at the Palisades location. We went there for restaurant week, it wasn’t too busy when we arrived. Our reservation was for 12:30 and we left almost 4 hours later. For 3 courses, the food took one hour in between courses, and it was brunch, so eggs, pancakes, frittatas shouldn’t take that long. Server was attentive, but food was disappointing.
