    Had high expectations for our first time and our 28th wedding anniversary. Appetizers, sides and drinks were good. Steak was just ok. They got our steaks mixed up in medium and medium rare. As a result my wife had to wait to eat her meal while they cooked another. Spoiling our special occasion. Manager said they would cover her meal which was expected however we would rather have paid in full to enjoy our meal together. They also didn’t do anything for our anniversary even though reservations were made with this information. Overall a terrible experience and poorly handled by management. We have been regulars at The Keg but wanted to try something different as our primary fine dining experience for this time and the future. Nice ambiance and hosts but given the experience we will not return to Lux or it’s other properties. Shame but they had an opportunity to get things right and have us return but they dropped the ball and left us feeling like just any other guest. No loss to them. That’s too bad.

    Lux is a very good place for a business lunch. It is quiet. The food is very good and the staff is friendly. I would recommend Lux for your business lunch.

    The gentlemen who greeted us at the door was fantastic. He was the hardest working guy in the place by far. Our server was excellent. The food was good. Honestly, I expected better.

    Did the tomahawk experience. Was delicious with great service. Food is family style, so sharing is best. They were also very accommodating for celiac disease and remade a dish so that I would enjoy as well. Would would recommend and return.

    Server rushed our meal and insisted we order immediately to avoid sitting for over an hour for our food. Everything was rushed and didn’t really enjoy the experience at all.

    Should have known it was going to be one of those nights. Started by wanting to seat us in the lounge. Moved to a table at the window, to watch people smoke and walk by as I eat. Music was load and not for fine dining . Steak not cooked correctly but they attempted to correct with a tenderloin full of fat. This was a favourite restaurant of mine but after the last two times being sub-par. It is now off the list for while. If I ever go back.

    Our server was so fantastic! The food tasted absolutely amazing. My husband and I shared a large Caesar salad and each ordered an entre (Seared Sablefish for me, Surf & Turf for my husband) The portions are not very big, so next time I would order a side as well as have appetizers or soup to start.

    I took some important customers here. The service really was outstanding - our server was attentive and very friendly, but the food was FAR less than stellar. 3 of us ordered the surf n turf for $65. My 6oz tenderloin was miss-shapen therefore cooked unevenly, and was not at all pleasant to cut and eat... tougher than a tenderloin should be. It came with 2 tiny prawns, and a dish of lobster mac n cheese which was very meh... possibly overcooked? One of my customers asked to upsize to a 9oz tenderloin. His steak looked the same size as our 6oz. When we pointed out to the server, she ran to the kitchn to ask - kitchen insisted it was 9oz, so nothing further was done. Really need to work on the kitchen staff as far as we experienced. I/we won't be returning any time soon.

    Second time for us after an incredible first visit. Brought friends this time. Half price wine Wednesday. My guess is that’s because you get half the service. We were finished appies before first bottle came. Had to track server down to get a second. Three bartenders just stared at us while we held up the wine menu for a third bottle that never came. No worry of a hangover from this trip. Food was great but little else. Ruth’s Chris next time we’re in town.

    Took almost 2 hours for our meal which my brother didn’t have time to eat because we had to go to the winspear so he had to wast a $65 steal because the service was soooo poor.

    Food was good. Hockey fans were prioritized over us, even though we also had a time deadline. We waited nearly 90 mins to get our food.

    Lux Steakhouse I had high expectations when I ordering however the value did not reflect the quality of food and drink. Unfortunately I had to send my steak back because I expected more from a steakhouse like Lux but my steak look like it had been stepped on and something that would come out when u order steak and eggs at a Denny’s. $15 for a tequila sour is ridiculous as well Thank you but I’ll find another steakhouse next time to dine at

My guess is that you had a ribeye or striploin due to the 'stepped on' statement. We butcher in house and are based on weight (pre-cooked). Sometimes the loins are wider which leaves a thinner cut. Our CHG Tequila Sour uses 2oz of ultra premium Casamigos. Sorry you felt it was expensive. We can make you Tequila Sour with our well tequila next time. Regards Dale Orvis - General Manager

    Excellent food. Interesting venue, great music, bar is there if you like but dining room is airy, lofted, spacious and well appointed. This is a fine dining venue great for business, informal or intimate occasions - I like it! The staff are welcoming and quietly professional - you will be treated well at Lux.

    Fantastic night out with a work colleague. The staff were unrivalled, the food impeccable. We will be back for sure. The rib steak was perfect and the Brussel sprouts were the best I’ve had. The Baldacci Pinot was very nice. I can’t say enough good things about the experience actually. Great night out!

    My husband and I dined at Lux with his parents. Food was excellent. I can say everything was excellent except that we waited for our main course between 20-30 minutes. Our drinks, appetizers and dessert arrived rather quickly and our server was very courteous. We would definitely dine here again.
