I always liked this restaurant and I’m happy it’s back. My favourite dish was always the lobster Mac and cheese and it’s still delicious. Food was fantastic for all 3 of us. Service as well.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. My family and I were celebrating my daughters 14th bday. The restaurant had a good vibe to it . Also, wasn’t to busy at that time. I really enjoyed the drink menu . Lots of variety to choose from. The food menu was good too. I think overall our server made things special for us. Her customer service was outstanding ! She was fast at taking our orders and bringing them out ! Joanne was very kind even tho we were a table of 9 and ordering lots of drinks lol. She’s a very lovely lady , thank you !! I will be back soon .

This place got revamped and is better then ever before. Things on the menu are executed very well. Great liquor and wines are available. Honestly the last time I went prior to this was over 6 or 7 years ago and I was hesitant to go, but it was so good we went twice in a week. Great steaks and burgers . We shared some appetizers that were great as well. Large portions for a good price .

Absolutely great team and management. We had booked a larger table and our friends were late / some no showed and they absolutely were so gracious about it . Food is spot on and large portions . Wonderful 1/2 price wine special on Wednesdays and great non alcoholic beers available. Really great for game day as connected to stadium via pathway & they are very speedy on service . This was our first time back to Lux after a few years, and we had a very nice pre-symphony dining experience. Convenient location if you're heading out to events downtown. Everything we tried was tasty: perogy appetizer, kale salad, sirloin steak, mashed potatoes, skillet peanut butter cookie. The steaks are à la carte (like so many steak houses these days) and there are some pricey cuts. They have a good selection of California wines on their list. The staff did an excellent job accommodating my shellfish allergy, considering all of the lobster, oysters, etc. on the menu. Lux keeps a fryer free from gluten and shellfish.

We came here for our anniversary and had wonderful service, the restaurant itself had a very Seren mellow vibe, quite romantic. My girlfriend had the burger, and I had a tenderloin, both were fantastic. The only downside to the meal was my twice baked potato which was incredibly dry. Overall a very nice experience and we would definitely come back.

Shepherds Pie, steak, burger and poutine were all delicious! Our server Lindsay was awesome. She had a real nice blend of professionalism and hospitality. Her wine and food recommendations were very good. My friend tried a martini for the first time and didn't like it. They replaced it with another drink for free. A great dining experience on a quiet Easter Monday.

I actually liked this restaurant, the food was good and our waiter Forrest was wonderful. What I didn't like, as a first timer, was (1) the fact that the entrance was hard to find, the building and the door had the same colour and no sign to indicate (2) there was no greeter when we stepped into the restaurant, only a sign that says proceed to the steakhouse. There were some people before us so we stood there thinking it was a line. After a while we stepped away to call the restaurant to let them know we were there for our reservation, and a gentleman who was in the line up before us came to talk to us and showed us where to go to check in. Our evening was ok after that

I have eaten at this restaurant many times, pre-COVID. While the service was still excellent, the food was mediocre at best. Disappointing. I hope they can recover their previous form.

Used the downtown eating experience to go to the Lux. Foot was good although the sauce on the steak was too spicy for my taste. Scraped it off and enjoyed the steak more. However that comment was very minor. Overall the food was delicious, service impeccable and ambience very nice. (Improved after people went to hockey game. Much quieter. Portions could be smaller and still sold at the same price point. Overall a most enjoyable evening

Dinner was delicious! The service was excellent! The only con I have is every time the front door opens(main entrance) there was a rush of cold air in the area we were sitting in. The curtains surrounding the front door don’t do much to stop that from happening.

We went there for Valentine’s Day and ordered the special experience menu ahead of time. The food was great, the ribeye steak was probably one of the best steaks I’ve eaten in my life! That being said, it was by and far the most expensive dinner I’ve ever paid for, to get sharing food for each of the 3 courses.

Dania was great to have as our server, her recommendations were perfect--it was tough to choose what to order with so many appetizing options on the menu, but she was ready with advice when we needed it and helped us choose the most delicious dishes.
