   We came here for Valentine's Day dinner. It was just the two of us, not three. Our waiter was great. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu selections. We had the grilled octopus and fried calamari for appetizers. (My boyfriend said the octopus was the best dish of the night!) For entrees, we had the rib-eye and rigatoni bolognese. Side dishes were sauteed onions, mushrooms and creamed spinach, which was the least favorite of the night. For dessert, we chose the Italian cheesecake. I wished we ordered the chocolate mousse. The ambiance nice and dim...it got louder as the night went on. Overall, we'd come back again, just for the octopus!

    Sis and I took Mom out for her birthday. She wanted steak so i was looking online for a place to take her. I liked the menu and what I read in the reviews so I said let's give it a try. It was a great choice. Appetizers and dinner was delicious, service was great. By the time we reached dessert time Mom was stuffed so she didn't order anything but i had noted in the reservation it was her birthday. They brought her a little something with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday to her. It was a very nice touch. I would definitely recommend and definitely come back!

    octopus, cesear salad, pasta with short rib ragu, italian cheesecake all great. The seafood in my frutti de mare was not very hot but the pasta was hot. And too much calamari in the frutti de mare. Service was excellent.

    Good local restaurant. Doesn't distinguish itself or standout. Solid Italian classic dishes. Steaks cooked perfectly and tasty cream spinach. Cocktails were disappointing.

    It was our first dinner at Macelleria's but it won't be our last. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The space is lovely and warm and not too loud.

    Usually love this place. Have dined here many times and never had a bad meal. Only bad experience ever was on Mothers’ Day, when the restaurant absolutely could not handle the volume. But still enjoy coming back. The management is not particularly warm and welcoming, but the servers are unfailingly attentive and gracious. Enjoyed a very nice lunch this week. Food was good as always - in fact, branzino was quite magnificent. But: I ordered a simple iced tea. This was not a drinking lunch. The tea was infused with something I cannot identify but it was delicious. Now for the punchline: it was served in the smallest glass I ever saw for an iced tea anywhere. Probably about 6 ounce capacity. Did not seem to be even 8 oz. Filled with ice before the tea pour, of course. When the bill came, I knew I was in a fine dining establishment and so I did not expect it to cost $1.50. But they charged $6.00 for that. I did not complain. I paid the bill and tipped generously as I always do. Repeating - I thought the food pricing was fair. No complaint there. But $6.00 for an undersized iced tea? Really? It sours my view of the whole place and the whole experience, which is very sad because I really do like that restaurant.

    Really quaint and intimate if you drive too fast you definitely miss the resturant. Waitstaff are very prompt and accommodating. Food is excellent, really fits if you want to have a few drinks or a night out with the family. Obviously the steaks are a can’t miss but they have some real good specials. Drinks are always made to perfection. Really a can’t miss resturant and one I’ll be visiting more often.

    We were in here for my youngest daughter‘s birthday and had a very nice time. The service was very good, as was the food. The lamb chops, although tasty, were a bit overdone and a tad dry. The New York strip was very good as were the sides. I ordered a second cocktail and was brought the same as the first instead of what I had ordered. I drank it and did not say anything. Overall, we will be back again.

    Worst food I've had in a while. Wine was awful, sent it back and was still charged. Broccoli rabe was inedible. I complained and was still charged. I was charged $20 for still water. Salmon was completely dry with zero flavor and husbands lamb was served with a steak gravy. Waitress checked on us only once throughout our meal. I would never go back! A $200 meal that was terrible.

    It was quick to make a reservation as they show available dates and times to choose from. We were there on a Sunday early evening, there was ample parking. The Hostess was very cordial and accommodated us immediately. The restaurant is clean the table linens and glasses, and silverware were sparkling. The bar has a wide selection of alcohol and wine and beer on tap as well. The menu is simple...which to me means quality food and preparation. Some restaurants have a book for a menu, too many items. Macelleria had a simple and delicious menu, they offer steaks, fish, pastas, salads, so simple but oh so delicious. The calamari were cooked perfectly, not chewy or greasy, the steaks were very tender, tasty and cooked to perfection, the crab cake was scrumptious, the salad was crispy and fresh, the potatoes were crispy, the octopus was seasoned and very tasty. The lemon sorbet was tart and sweet, delectable! The espresso was creamy and smooth. Our family was celebrating a birthday and being here made it special. Gezuar, cheers, buon apetito!

    This is one of our favorite places and the food never disappoints. On this particular evening, it just seemed exceptionally noisy and it was difficult for the server and us to hear each other and also to have a normal conversation with the person sitting right next to me. Can't explain that; it just was. We have been there other time when it was much busier, yet seemed quieter. Two observations about the menu and pricing. At first glance, the menu pricing seemed surprising reasonable for a place of this type and stature, and it fact it was quite reasonable in our opinion. We order a lot of steaks for two in a lot of places -- porterhouses, cowboy ribs steaks. We know the pricing for those is elevated. But the price for the porterhouse for two "special" last night (they always have it and it always used to be right on the menu; now it is off the menu and became a special) was astonishing. Let's be clear -- the portion serving was enormous. Easily could have fed 3 people and possibly as many as four. And it was perfectly cooked and delicious. And we will look forward to having it again. But the price when the check came was perhaps as much as $30-$40 more than we would have guessed. And what made this all the more surprising was the menu price for the regular sirloins and other meats, which were equally surprisingly low in the current inflationary environment. So this should not be taken as a negative review. We love this place. We have not ever had a bad meal there. We will go back for sure. And we will order the same things. But last night, it was just a little too inexplicably noisy for a summer Friday (not the restaurant's fault; it just was what it was), and the sticker shock was indeed a shock, particularly when offset by the very reasonable menu pricing for everything else. Sorry for the excessive length.
