Great food, drinks, and service. Brunch special can't be beat! Our group really enjoyed the drinks and food and would definitely go back.
Went on a sunday around 6pm. It was very quiet not alot of people inside but liked the atmosphere. Saff were friendly and helpful with menu choices. Felt that the tacos were over priced. Paid 11 dollars for 2 tiny tacos. Wings were good and enjoyed the Hawaiian flat bread. Not a bad experience.
The food was alright but not the greatest for the price and they brought the apps and all tacos at the same time which led to cold food. Otherwise it's a good ambience if you're just there for a drink!
way downhill with the new ownership
fajitas were horrible and you couldn't even make 2 with the steak on the plate
no churros? its supposed to be mexican
margarita pitchers are atleast 30% smaller than last time we visited, and are the same price
New menu is not good value. $14 (large vs. $9 small) guac app was about 1 cup of guac (wondering what a small would be?!)
Menu seriously paired back. Fajitas were 4 peices of brown steak on limp onion and a few peppers - about 1/3 cup of shredded lettuce on side. No sizzle. $17 by the way.
3 tacos to choose from (did this not used to be a whole menu section???)
So confused as to why this menu changed the way it did. I understand that there are new owners and they are NOT doing a great job.
Food was great, good buzz, good people watching, service was a good pace. Definitely recommend
I've been to Macho Radio Bar more times than I can count, and I've always received excellent service and food. We often visit for weekend brunch in a big group, but this time my reservation was messed up which caused a lot of problems.
My group showed up at 10:58am on Sunday, 2 minutes before they open. We were asked to wait while they set up some last minute things, not a problem at all. However, another group showed up after us, and they were seated immediately at the table reserved for us (we always reserve the same table). I told the hostess that there must have been a mix-up, but she then informed me that the other group had reservations for 11:30am, so they were seated a little early. Doesn't make sense because we had reservations for 11am and were exactly on time? They then seated us at some corner - a 4 seater table for my group of 7. Our waitress was very friendly and helped bring extra chairs, but the overall experience was kind of ruined as we were very cramped and it was uncomfortable. Still 10/10 for the service we received from our waitress - she was top notch!
Bien situé, menu corecte, pour un restaurant mexicain je me serais attendu a plus de choix mexicains. Service ordinaire....
Chicken Wings not the best, Fajitas small and not much add ons without guacamole, Mac and cheese pasta kinda soft. Service and Nachos was great. A nice place more for drinks and hang out with patio
Our experience was not the best due to the timing in receiving our meals. We order table apps and they were brought out at the same time as our meals, almost 40 minutes after we ordered. Then, only some of our party received their mains at a time, with a 5-10 minute period from start to finish. The people in our party were waiting for the tables food before starting so their meals were cold by the time we were all ready. Some of the portion sizes were quite small with the tacos we order and not worth 5$ each. The waitress did not check back in with us much at all so we didn’t have a chance to explain this at the time. 12 people dined and I don’t believe any of us will come back
Unfortunately, the day my friends and I visited the restaurant they were low on servers, staff, waiters and basically everyone. As a result, our service was horrific, our waiter did not know what he was talking about half the time, the lady manager was extremely rude, bartender rude to my friend, she went up to ask him a question and he said “he doesn’t have time for this”....to top it off, the website had false advertisement, we were all ready to pay the $30 brunch with bottomless mimosas, when we arrive they gave us another menu explaining that they have not yet been able to get the website from the previous owners, but I mean it was an overall disaster we agreed to stay with the new menu my food (the bday girl) never arrived, several of my other friends food never arrived, the restaurant has potential, perhaps if we came during a time when they had the right amount of staff it would’ve been better nonetheless, our visit was horrible
Service was slow and our server was inattentive. Small, overpriced tacos. Pork was on the drier side. A glass of sangria doesn't come with any fruit and is super super small. One person's food was about 5 mins later than everyone else. The fish taco was good and the patio is gorgeous.
Really good food. The service was terrible. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Than almost the same to order food. The manager said they were short staffed due to carabana . The manager did comp our desserts. We were also late for our concert even though we arrived early to eat. Would not go back.
3 generations came for dinner at 4:30pm. The grandmother (65) found the music too loud (as did the paents) and stools difficult to sit on. The grandchild (11) enjoyed the ambiance. Parents enjoyed the cocktails but found the tacos very small but tasty. I could see this place for an evening cocktail or too and their patio is big and beautiful
Food was just ok. Better for drinks.
This place has a great patio and large dining room, great for large groups. We went as a group of 8 for brunch, prices are reasonable and food was good (eggs Benny in particular), portions were a bit too large for us though. The only disappointment was the amt of time the food/service took, there were maybe 10 tables at the time and it took about 40 min to get our breakfast. Usually service is much better, so perhaps they were just understaffed at the time.
Such a great wknd brunch! Service on the patio was awesome and the drink deals are the best :) #5hourbrunch
Beautiful decor and food was delicious. Service was a little slow but not terribly so. Friendly management and servers. Would recommend and will return.
Sweet patio. The tacos are shockingly small for $5.50 each. At that size they should be $2 each. The nachos were very very good otherwise.
Service was amazing! We were a family group of seven and our server, I believe it was Michael, gave us lots of attention and many suggestions. The manager was also at our table to check on our drinks a couple of times. The patio was large and open, tables not too close together. Drink selection was good, especially the creative mixed drinks. Food was okay. Tacos were small. Flatbreads were hard but had lots of toppings. Guac was tasty. This would be a great place for drinks and shared appetizers. We highly recommend the churros for dessert!
Food was simply mediocre. Everything was okay in terms of portions, EXCEPT the tacos - they were incredibly teensy for the price with next to no toppings. Half our table got their orders a good 10 mins before the other half which was awkward. Was nice to get a patio seat on a friday night, but I suspect it’s because it’s not very good. Likely won’t be going back.
The ambience and the customer service was absolutely amazing! The Manager and the hostess’ are amazing! The food did not match the customer service and the ambience at all. We ordered the Nachos for an appetizer and the beans they put on it were under cooked, there was very little cheese or dressings on the nachos and just for fun there were always snow pea sprouts (which are typically bitter). They are a Tex Mex restaurant and they did not have any choice of Salsa. We also ordered the tacos which sounded great but the flavors were underwhelming. When you think Mexican food you think foods filled with ground cumin, peppers, coriander and chilis, but there was a lack of flavor all around in the food. The jerk chicken taco had a red cabbage that was very bitter and masked the flavors of the chicken entirely. Everything came out with snow pea sprouts that truly did not have any business on every dish. I also ordered a Sangria that came with no fruit and the wine they used was bitter (not dry just bitter), it was about an 8 oz glass and cost ten dollars, which for Toronto is reasonable but the drink was not good at all. The plating of the food was beautiful.
Place is a bit run down. Service was slow. Didn’t stay to eat.
very nice place! we enjoyed our meal. nice staff and good food
As always - amazing service. Went for the breakfast mimosa special, always a good deal. Definitely not disappointed!
It’s just sad that it’s raining today, they have a really nice patio! But since it’s raining we cannot go out there. Food was good, wish i could try brunch next time. Their taco is huge portion to me. Drink was nice, we ordered sangria, it was pretty light. But we didn’t wanna get drunk so. Service was awesome. All in all, it’s an amazing place to hang!
The food was very very good but the service was even better our server made us feel like he wanted us to have a good time and we did the drinks were also excellent
Lovely meal at Macho
First time here and must say I absolutely looooved it. Service was a bit slow but it was really busy and hot out so its forgivable. Plus our server was super nice and apologetic which helped. Food was great we had the brunch menu with $2 refillable mimosas- ranchero burrito and the chorizo benny I would HIGHLY recommend either. Also I HIGHLY recommend the grapefruit mimosas. Beautiful patio with comfy benches and overhead fans made for a great long afternoon brunch with the girlfriends. I will definitely be back this summer more time than I probably should!!
Went to meet up with some friends for brunch. We were told he had to have a reservation to be seated, so we made a reservation while standing there (it wasn't booked up at all). Weird.
When we sat down our table was sticky, and it took us asking three times to have it wiped before it was actually cleaned. Our waitress splashed sauce all over my pants, shoes and jacket an pretended not to notice. Another highlight...
Food was ok (when we finally got it almost 1.5 hours after arriving), but service has really gone downhill.
Absolutely exceptional service, very comfortable seating outdoors with heaters (went for a birthday brunch on a cool spring afternoon), awesome casual environment for eating & drinking with a group of buddies. Portion sizes were on the small side for brunch - one person in the group left hungry.
Mimosas were warm boxed juice. Meals came half an hour apart for our table, and were mediocre at best. Only go for the patio and stick to beer if anything.
Energetic bar/restaurant with fairly limited menu but everything was well prepared, service was good and margaritas were excellent
Food was mediocre. Was pretty disappointed.
This is the second time I’ve been and service is really poor!! It was busy sure but the service is really lacking. Worst margarita on the rocks ... all lime no flavor I paid for the better drinks but I wasn’t impressed. The first time I was there the margaritas were better but this time they completely missed the mark
Fun environment with decent food however service was kind of slow.. they use to have a bottomless brunch deal that was amazing which is what we went for but they've gotten rid of it.. Other than that its a good spot if you're looking for a boozey brunch or somewhere to watch the game, they have good drink deals.
This place is always a go-to when you can't decide on a place! Great food, great atmosphere and steps away from Rogers Centre.
Manager was unbelievably rude and unaccomodating. Server was pleasant, however service was very slow. Food was mediocre.
Great customer service! Love that I can make a reservation for brunch. Great location for brunch before an afternoon event at the Roger's Centre (e.g., Jay's game), and awesome deal for mimosas. Food was great!
Great atmosphere and staff was very helpful! I'd definitely go back there again!
