    From an iconic Papal Estate in France. Chateau Beaucastel has immerged as a standard for all Chateau-neuf-du-Pape. In 1987 The Perrin family partnered with the Haas family of Vineyard Brands to select a site for the same varietals of the famous french estate to be produced in Paso Robles. Tablas Creek was born. The partners imported vinifera from the French estate. Several clones each of Mourvédre, Grenache Noir, Syrah, Counoise, Roussanne, Viognier, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc and Picpoul Blanc were imported, as well as a variety of rootstocks. Each of the four courses will be paired with the two wines of identical make-up from the two vineyards. It is truly a taste of two cities.

    Awesome experience!! The ambience was great. The sea bass, steak frites and white chocolate bread pudding were all to die for. The service was professional and accommodating. Also, they make a mean smoky old fashioned.

    Nicely done. Accommodated my need for corner table. Wait staff very good. A little slow at the end of our meal. Overall very nice. Food is still a little pricey for most folks.

    Arrived an seated right away. Server came over provided water and gave us time to review the menu. Took order, brought drinks over right away, and continued to follow up with us. Food arrived hot and plentiful, and cooked to profection, it was delicious, Chicken Waffles with spice syrup and the French toast, aboslutely outstanding.

    The seating is entirely too close along the wall, you could literally grab the fork at the next table. There was no privacy; you could hear their conversation and they could hear ours. You have to whisper in order to carry on a private conversation with your date. All the while, there were several tables that were uninhabited that would have been lovely for us to sit at on our anniversary. When I booked our table I had requested a private table, I guess the manager didn't read the notes.

    It was an outstanding scenery and I loved the surrounding environment, but I feel the food was overvalued. The food was good, but not worth the money, especially 17 dollars for some macaroni and cheese. On the good note, the service was very good and fast.

    The food was exceptionally good. I was a bit disappointed that with my advanced reservations they sat the few people together, and it wasn't a very intimate setting for my wife's birthday. I will say that the crab cake with picked green tomatoes is a must have. I am not a fan of crab cakes, but these were exceptionally good and I would highly recommend them. The prices are a bit steep, so it is more for a special occasion than a regular visit place. Overall, it was really good.

    We celebrated our 59th anniversary at Mac's. I let them know but all we received was a verbal "Happy Anniversary"! Would have loved a complimentary glass of bubbly. But the food & service was excellent. Very elegant restaurant. We highly recommend Mac's Chophouse!

    First time dining at Mac's Chophouse, celebrating a birthday. Seated immediately with reservations, nice ambiance. Service was first class, appetizers were the highlight of the meal. We both ordered steak, cooked perfectly and tender. Would suggest a little more seasoning. The entire staff was very accommodating, complimentary champagne toast to begin the meal. Would definitely recommend. Stu was our server, if you dine there ask for him, outstanding.

    Small retirement celebration group of 7. Vanessa made a point to immediately learn first names and provide top shelf service for the evening. Food was great from appetizers to the specialty banana creme pie for dessert.

    We enjoyed our dinner and the staff was really friendly. There seemed to be a rather large confusion at the beginning of our meal as to who our server was going to be. It didn’t start off well but through the meal and at the end were very pleasant. Great ambiance.

    I am a frequent diner at the establishment. I love it here and I love the staff. My issue here is something that was addressed by Phil and his wonderful team on site, so my note is specifically to the owner, Ralph. The change you made to your dress code policy which doesn’t allow flip flops in the upstairs dining room is fine. I respect it. However, it isn’t mentioned anywhere on open table. So, when my family who was in from NY and I arrived last night (specifically took them here) I was told I would not be allowed to eat there with flip flops on. Again… I respect the code but you should inform people before we arrived. When I was told we could be seated downstairs with one of our favorite servers, Jesus, I was certainly very happy. The food was phenomenal. I would reiterate though, our $800 check very easily would have walked down the street to L on North and they would have been happy to have us. I’m glad Phil and crew did the right thing, and we had a very nice night. But… seriously a miss by the ownership that I hope they rectify. It was embarrassing for a large man like myself to be told I had to shoehorn myself into a booth or leave because of my footwear. Especially since other gentlemen were up there with flip flops and caps. But like I said, Phil worked magic and got us a high top downstairs.
