The food is phenomenal from the salads and sandwiches to the entrees and desserts. The portions are large but it is worth saving room for a dessert, especially one of the crepes. Our favorite crepe is the peach melba crepe, which comes with a scoop of ice cream and is absolutely delicious. While we have been several times and tried a few different items we keep coming back to our favorites the Lyonnaisse salad, lamb chop (which is more a rack of lamb) and the escargot. We will definitely be back for more.

Mademoiselle Paris is a favorite in Sarasota, always reliable, quality service, and an impeccable atmosphere. I go for the grouper, consistently cooked to my desired medium rare. My wife gets one of their meat-less options and always leaves satisfied, but when we ocassionally venture into the seasonal menue that never disappoints as well.

Wonderful location, service and quality of food. Actually we had a very helpful server and manager to accommodate our allergy issues. They went above and beyond to try. Sea food was very fresh. The place is busy. Their bread pudding was magnificent.

Great experience. First of all the staff is very courteous and pleasant. Our server Bettina was French and took good care of us all the way. We took the 3 courses menu everything was to die for : the foie gras is home made, and the snails were perfectly prepared. My husband had the duck which was perfect and the plate was beautiful. I had the lamb also perfect. We finished our meal with a crepe suzette and a creme brulee. Live music was very untertaining. Wine list has very good picks too. Great experience.

Isabelle was our server the three times we dined at Mademoiselle Paris... She was without exception super attentive, patient when I asked to taste a couple of wines prior to ordering a bottle ... Impeccable timing ... 20 stars for service , wonderfully prepared food and atmosphere ... Highly recommend you ask for Isabelle

Was disappointed that they were out of duck since this was one of the reasons we chose this restaurant. I had the lamb which was perfectly cooked and my husband had mussels. We both enjoyed our entrees. We appreciated the complimentary dessert for our wedding anniversary. Would have preferred a vegetable other than potato to go with my lamb but overall a good meal. We loved the entertainer, also, on the keyboard and singing. Great repertoire for us boomers. Thanks for a pleasant celebration.

Amazing! We made a reservation. The first waitress intimated to my husband that it would be better if we left. They were understaffed. The other waitress, who was also hosting, said that since we had a reservation, the cook would make our food. But they were telling everyone else to leave. We sat down and talked about it. When the waitress came over, we asked if she would rather that we left. She said "Yes". So we did. It will be a very long time before we ever go there again.

We as relatively new neighbors were very excited on trying the UTC branch of this restaurant. We made a reservation for a Wednesday evening. Upon arrival we found that the place was not busy at all; no reservation was needed nor the waiter asked if we had one. Service was very poor to say the least. We sat and after 15 minutes of wait the waiter came to tell us to be patient because they were too busy (??); only 5 other tables were occupied at the time in the entire restaurant and all except one had already orders taken. 25 minutes after we sat our order was finally taken. To our surprise, we were informed that many of the dishes listed in the menu "were not available that day" (no risotto, no dishes with fettucine, no camembert). I ordered the "10-12oz" duck breast; the amount of breast in my dish was not more than 7oz , seriously! , and the mashed potato was lukewarm at best. Flavor of the dish was very good though. My spouse ordered the pork tenderloin; it was very well prepared, tasty and plentiful although the bacon biscuit that is listed in the menu was no were to be found. We did not get served a basket of bread either as all other tables had; no bread in a French restaurant? After we finished our shared appetizer, for which we had to request to have an additional plate, the waiter brought us the check (talk about the concentration and detail of the service). I ordered truffle French fries, but I was served regular plain fries. The waiter never came to our table to ask how everything was. For dessert we had the bread pudding; the portion was very generous; however, its was a little dry and slightly bland in flavor. We are sad that our experience with this local restaurant was not satisfactory.

Scallop and shrimp dish very disappointing. Tomato starter had no flavour just a large tomato cut in 2 and heated with some Parmesan shavings on top. Serving staff were pleasant but quality of food very poor

Worst restaurant in Florida. When we walked in there was a slight smell of garbage. The food was terrible. I ordered filet with peppercorn sauce. It was so spicy it burned my throat. The meat was low quality and over cooked. The risotto was not very good either. We were hoping the crème brûlée would be decent but we were disappointed with that too. Don’t waste your time or money.

This place is a Gem! If you want authentic French Cuisine that is delicious with great value - this is the place to come to. It’s a taste of Europe in the US. The desserts are wonderfully made - sweet to perfection. If you are a foodie this is the focus. The atmosphere is welcoming with music in the background- great place for family dinners and a quaint dinner date !

The reservation on Open Table had an option to choose from "Special Event" or "Regular Menu". I picked "regular", because ... well, I know how those special even prix fixe dinners usually work, and also I saw some items on the menu that looked attractive. Open Table also touted "Happy Hour: all glasses of wine for $6". Of course, when we arrived to the restaurant, it turned out that no regular menu is served, and no happy hour today, which we were dryly informed of by the waitress with two short "No"'s in response to our questions. She promptly went away without taking our oder, saying she'd call the manager. After another 15 minutes of waiting the manager showed up to inform us that she "doesn't deal with Open Table" so, no idea what we were talking about. She asked as if it was "OK". Well ... it's not like we were going to just up and leave now ... The appetizer was two breaded shrimps on one plate, that we had to eat with our hands, because they didn't bother to bring us the actual plates. First course, was two more shrimps with some puff pastry. Silverware was kinda dirty. I understood why, when they came to take away the plates, and asked me to take the silverware out ... so I had to just put it on the table. Wonder how much they save daily on dishwashing. Next course was advertised as "poached eggs", but they were really just hard boiled. Next was a "beef stroganoff", obviously from microwave with potatoes au gratin, cold as a stone. Finally, dessert, that would be ok, if the waitress hadn't spilled wine on my wife's pants while serving _another table_. She took one (one!) glass of wine off the check as a form of an apology for ruining a $300 piece of clothes. Overall, this was not a good experience at all, though the live music was kinda nice. To be fair, this was Valentine's day, I dunno, maybe their regular service isn't this crappy. But dirty silverware, wobbly tables, and grumpy waitresses did seem like a rather permanent fixture.

This past Saturday was a disaster at the restaurant. Clearly understaffed, possibly callouts on the line and wait staff, lead to one of the worst experiences I’ve had in Sarasota dining in over 25 years. We did get our order in and did get our meals in a reasonable time, well to soon as the soup was still being consumed when the entree came, our waitress - I don’t think that was her regular position - said better you get it early than wait. And we did see other diners come and go and long wait times for drink and meals by others. Food wise the French onion soup was watery, the beef burgundy was meh, lacking flavor, but my wife thought the crepes were fine. We never got to desert as once the meal was dropped off, well that was the last of the service. We had to check our selves out and that required one check adjustment and we were still over charged. The staff was hustling around as the restaurant became packed so it was just a shortage of bodies. So others may have faired better, but it’s our last visit.

This is my new favorite place!! Everyone was extremely kind and generous from the moment we walked in. Everything was prepared correctly and tasted delicious. My waitress knew I was celebrating my bday so she gave me complimentary champagne and desserts! Will definitely be coming back more often to try the rest of the menu.

The mussels were in what was described as a “coriander” soup. Did not taste good. The French hamburger just fell apart with hash brown potatoes in lieu of bread. Will not return.
