Immensely satisfying and honestly prepared.
Open and serving 5 days a week!
The walls and ceiling seem to reflect the sound. That combined with the music coming from the patio in addition to the rehearsal sounds coming from the studio was quite overwhelming. The food was nice and I particularly enjoyed the street tacos.
We were here for my sister’s Bachelorette Party. We were seated on time of our reservation and promptly greeted by our server. Drinks were great! Appetizers were amazing! All 5 of us ordered something different for entrees and gave everyone a taste. We all agreed EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious!! Our little party moves out to the patio of live music and continued to have a blast. I can’t wait to go back with my husband!!
The food at Madlife is surprisingly good... as I used to think it as being a great place to see a live music show; And it is... but I would’ve never thought to go ‘just for the dinner’, until I ate there one time before a show and I was blown away by the quality of the food, and excellent service. So since then, I have been several times just for dinner! I have had the lollipop lamb chops a couple of times, they were great. Others had the scallops, others had the burgers, all the food was fantastic. Great drinks too!
The food and service was great! Andrew our server was great and Rick helped keep our drinks full and making sure we were doing good. The place was packed and very loud but that’s ok, we were going to a comedy show and weren’t really expecting a quiet romantic dinner or anything. Overall everything was great!
Good place if you are in hurry. Charged $14 for an old fashion which is ridiculous in Woodstock. Cheese board needs more creativity. Just chucks of cheese with slices of salami. No supporting sauces mustards or purees. We split the chicken sandwich which was supposed to feature onion straws. Those were left off. Other than that the sandwich was tasty.
Chef is awesome
Drinks and dinner - restaurant is separate from concert hall. No cover to just eat in the restaurant. Friendly service and excellent food. Planned to eat outside but covered patio was leaking so we had to move inside. Outside music packed up as well, but we still had good food. Will definitely try again on a nicer evening
We always enjoy our experience at MadLife- whether it's to dine or see a show. Their fried green tomatoes and meatballs are fantastic appetizers. We had the pork chop and salmon for entrees and those were equally delicious! Haven't really ever had a bad meal.
Great food, service and price! It's so convenient to eat before a show and be able to go straight in after dinner!
Great food & service😊
Had an amazing omelet and my friend enjoyed the French toast. Prices very reasonable and our waiter was friendly. Downside is music on the patio is quite loud. We chose to sit inside because of this but found when the door to the patio was open we couldn't hear each other.
The grill was a bit noisy and the choices were limited and salty.
The biggest issue was the web site. The Madlife web site was the worst that I have experienced in years. And the only way to get answers was to wait until after 5:30p on selective days. It’s easier to get information from The government.
I love the receptionist and waitress. They are kind, personal, and just "PrimeTime".
A celebration with family and meal before the A1A show. Jeffrey is a great server being attentive and on target for providing drinks, food and suggested menu items. Great food choices and great food. Thank you for another great experience.
Food was great and service was spot on! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and venue to my friends.
Awesome place to enjoy a good meal with a very good environment. Service was excellent, the food was great, and it was so convenient to just be able to walk right into the show afterward. I would highly recommend both the restaurant and the theater
The noise is terrible!! Our waiter was fine but busy.
Fried shrimp good our friends pork chop was ok
His wife kept being served her Diet Coke in a plastic glass. My Husbands hamburger was cold and had yellow cheddar not Swiss. Waiter took plate and return with another cold hamburger with Swiss not melted at all and a beat up looking bun. We believe they scrapped the yellow off who knows how many people touched that hamburger He sent it back. The chef came out and apologized and offered another choice but he declined. It was time to go to show.
Great place to eat before a concert
Everything was great!
The food was the worst. It seem like the cook was not there and who ever was filling in did not have a clue. For starters how do you mess up chicken wings? They were not done after requesting to have them well done. The menu said the wing had BBQ sauce, there was none.
The entrees got worse the pecan crusted fish was not cooked at all. Fish was placed on the plate with a liquid pecan stuff poured on it and some I don't know what brown stuff poured on top of that. There is no way to get a pecan crusted anything with some type of heat. Also my wife was asked how would she like her salmon done. It did not come back as requested.
I had been looking forward to this evening. SAD!!!
I was very excited about my first visit to MadLife Grill and after my experience there I have to say, sadly, that I couldn't have been more disappointed. Of their entree offerings on their menu, the poor server had to inform me that they had been "really busy" that day and the day before and they were "out" of those products. After the first two or three items I requested only for the server to tell me they were "out", I got to the point where I asked the server to tell me what they DID have so that I could know what was items were available for order. I ended up getting a veggie plate which was supposed to come with a "grain". Guess what? The waitress told me that they were "out" of the grain. So after being told that they were out I asked the server if she could just give me some cornbread with the veggie plate and she said she could do that. A few minutes later she returned and told me that the chef said that there would be a "$2 up-charge if I wanted to add the cornbread". OK... let me see if I've got this right, you're missing half the prime items on your entree menu and, on the item that I ordered, it is missing an item the menu says should come with it (a grain), so I just want to settle for some cornbread... AND YOUR MANAGEMENT WISDOM DETERMINES THAT YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR THAT? I ended up just subtracting one of the vegetable items from the veggie platter and replaced it with the cornbread I wanted. But I was doing all the work in this establishment just to get a meal, the management their seems to think that customers should be happy to take whatever the establishment wants to throw at'em. Let me make clear that the server was WONDERFUL and none of this was her fault. But the management is poor. A restaurant that runs out of food? And then management that wants to skimp on an unhappy customer over silly piece of cornbread? There are better, more dependable eating establishments in downtown Woodstock. I don't intend to return.
Everything was very nice. The balcony was the way to go because the service is way better there. The service on the main floor is not as good. REAL wine glasses in the music venue rather than plastic throw away cups would help the ambience tremendously. It felt like picnic/tailgating with plastic cups. The food & service were amazing, over the top. Entertainment was awesome. Balcony had very good service & you could have a conversation & much better there.
Our sever was great. She kept everything moving for the 6 of us because we had the ABBA show at 7pm.
Would definitely eat at MadLife Grill again😎
The food was GREAT! We went for the live music which was really fun. All the wait staff were fun and helpful. Service was good even though they were busy. I will definitely go back again and take friends with me.
MadLife kind of sends mixed messages: Food's great & priced like it. Appetizers of fried green tomatoes were a hit, fried mac & jack cheese balls slightly less so. Trout got raves. Burger was exceptionally good & delivered an honest medium rare. Add wine & craft beers and ticket came to about $150 for four before tip. Ambiance, decor, furnishings about what might be expected at an average neighborhood sports bar (without the TVs, if that makes sense.) Table setup a step or two up from that. A little surprised to find it was Biker night on the patio when we were there on Tuesday, but it didn't extend noticeably into the main dining room which was sparsely populated. Service was friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. Will certainly go back, would highly recommend for food & service. Dinner jackets & gowns not required...
Birthday ...Great place with live music and Great Food
Great environment. Good food. Brunch was limited tho- the only draw back.
Absolutely fantastic brunch items. A little pricey for what you get but very good. Would definitely recommend. We are going again.
Apps were excellent and dinner was very good. Service was outstanding.
Consistently good food and excellent service. Thanks, again!!!
We had a great time for my husband's 40th birthday. There was a small food hiccup but the manager and the server were on it and corrected the issue. Amazing service and staff! Have been there before and will continue going there. Thanks !
The food was OUTSTANDING! The brussel sprout appetizer and salmon entree are a MUST!!!!
It was great. When there for a show and ate first. Had the smoked wings and hot Turkey sandwich. Both were excellent.
We enjoyed a meal and a great out on the terrace. Both were very good. And to topp it off we enjoyed a hilarious evening of female comedians. It was a great show with lots of laughter and fun. Would highly recommend.
I love MadLife but was disappointed in the food this time. My friend’s chicken on her salad was dry and the farro wasn’t cooked. The green beans on the cheese plate were terrible.
The mahi mahi was pretty good as well as the Brussel sprouts.
I’m hoping this is as just a fluke and next time will be better.
Great food! Great drinks! Great music! Great venue! We love it here!
Madlife is not only a great restaurant but also a great music venue!! I’d recommend going to catch a performance and having a nice meal at the grill beforehand. It allows you to get better parking, and the food is great!! Lots of different options for a decent price, and the service was quick and friendly.
Great food, perfect place to eat before a concert!
